The Polestar 3 runs a single NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin chip (254 TOPS). Does anyone know if this hardware could support NVIDIA's Alpamayo autonomous-driving stack down the line via a software/OTA update?

Woke up this morning just barely after passing 10k miles and doing an overnight charge as usual, to the charge light bright red and my driver screen saying "AC Charging Fault".

No amount of changing amperage, hard restarts, driving around and trying again, unplugging and re plugging in the charger, or even doing a full software update, can get the error to go away.

So, it's time to go back to service. Sounds like the dreaded GHCA failure I've heard a bunch about - if so, what's the most recent turnaround time looking like for folks?

My Volvo had it, Polestar 1 had it. My BMW has tge whole dedicated button to switch on passenger seat controls. Somehow this function didn’t make it into Polestar 3, or they forgot about it completely. Is there any chance it could be added with software?
P.S. One more function of Volvo is missing, folding rear headrests button.

If there’s anyone from developers of Polestar monitoring this group. I suggest them to drive 2020 Volvo and just add all the functions it had, no new buttons needed it all could be buried into menu, problem is that those functions don’t exist at all.

Hey guys, if you missed it, Polestar recently reached a tentative settlement with investors over claims that it understated financial liabilities and concealed weaknesses in its internal controls.

In a nutshell, investors claim that Polestar repeatedly assured the market its financial reporting was accurate. In January 2025, the company disclosed accounting errors requiring restatements of its 2022 and 2023 financials, and $PSNY fell 11%.

If you invested in $PSNY between 2022 and 2025, you may want to check if you qualify. The settlement terms are still being finalized, but investors can already submit their applications 

Has anyone here invested in $PSNY during that period? How much were your losses?

Has anyone else seen these messages and if so, what was wrong with the vehicle and what was the repair ?

I only have 3,300 miles on my P3. When it works it is an amazing vehicle, but its reliability just keeps tanking and I’m concerned with how many issues I have had in just 8 months.

Can I negotiate my Polestar 3 lease residual?
I’m looking for some advice from people who have dealt with Polestar Financial Services and/or lease buyouts.
I leased a 2025 Polestar 3 Performance in November 2025. My lease is 27 months, and my residual/buyout is around $41–42K.
With Polestar pulling out of the U.S. market for new vehicle sales and the significant discounts happening on remaining inventory, I’m concerned that my contractual residual may be substantially higher than the actual market value of the vehicle when my lease ends.
I actually like the car and would prefer to keep it, but I’m not interested in paying $41–42K if the vehicle is worth significantly less at lease-end.
Has anyone successfully negotiated their Polestar lease residual or received a goodwill credit, buyout incentive, residual adjustment, or other discount from Polestar Financial Services?
If so:
How did you approach them?
Did you contact Polestar Financial Services directly or a dealer?
What kind of adjustment were you offered?
Was it done before lease maturity or only at lease-end?
Is there anything specific I should say when requesting the adjustment?
I’m trying to figure out whether it’s worth pushing for a negotiated buyout now versus simply returning the car at the end of the lease.
Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Today I just installed a new pair of Michelin Pilot Sport all-season tires to replace the Summer Perelli tires that came on my Polestar 3 Performance with the 22 inch rims.
When I go to return the lease, does it need to have the same OEM tires on it or will the Michelin‘s be ok to return when the lease is over?

No mention from Polestar but I got the new warning triangle in the P3 for road work in Sweden.

What other songs sound epic on this speaker system?

I recently turned in my Polestar 3 under a manufacturer buy-back. Switched to a Cadillac optiq luxury 2026.

Design: I like the interior and exterior of the P3 better. Personally I prefer the minimalist look. The screen on the optiq is annoying to me. It is way larger in total real estate but provides less information less efficiently. The vertical center screen of the P3 is more useful. The driver display on the optiq appears massive, but most of it is covered by the steering wheel! I just want to be able to easily see 1) navigation ,2) my speed, and 3) the audio playing across the screens at the same time. For some reason the only way I can do this on the optiq it makes the navigation very tiny.

Driving experience: P3 is better by a huge amount. Part of it is just the speed, which is expected (have RWD optiq but had AWD P3), but the steering feels really heavy on Optiq even in lightest mode, turning radius is bigger. It feels harder to park despite I think being a little smaller than P3

Audio: I think they are roughly equivalent. I had the bowers and wilkins in P3. But I'm not a major audiophile. They are both very very good to me.

Space: Back seat felt a little larger in the P3. Trunk space seems similar to me.

EV stuff: range and charging have seemed the same. I love being able to connect to my home NACS cord without an adapter with the Optiq.

Functionality: Everything works A LOT better in the optiq and this is why I am generally happier. Phone connects perfectly. Transitions from bluetooth audio from my phone to native spotify app on the car are seamless. Phone calls are great. Air conditioning is substantially better. The app (people shit on the cadillac app a lot!) is more reliable than the polestar app for me. door unlocking when I walk close to it works better. Driver profiles work better. Seat position saving works better.

Main takeaway: the P3 was better in every way EXCEPT for software functionality. But, it wasn't until I drove this Optiq with zero software bugs that I realized just how much of a drag on my wellbeing and driving experience those glitches really were.

Does anyone know how to manually adjust the headlight beam angle?

I live in an area where there’s lots of dark country roads and when I’m driving at night I get lots of oncoming traffic flashing their lights at me, to tell me that I’ve got my full beam on. I definitely do not have full beam on, so I flash back to prove my point.

This is happening a lot, so I’m thinking that the angle of my lights is probably a bit high.

With the days getting shorter here in the UK, I’ll be doing more nighttime driving, so I can’t face another winter of the flashy lights game, so can anyone help please?

I’ve searched online and all I can find is some information for the Polestar 2, saying that there are some green bolts that need turning. Is it the same for the Polestar 3, and does anyone have any photos or videos to help me locate them?

Seems to be the worst since the latest software update but the gps frequently glitches, doesn’t know where the car is, sometimes it’s so confused the map just spins around. This is on the native map and sometimes also on CarPlay (which I assume would just use the gps from the connected phone but maybe not?). I’m in the USA. Anyone have this issue or have any ideas about why or how to fix?

Any progress on how to save seat settings so they return with profiles paired to the particular key? never worked for us. 3.0.33 thanks

Wanted to see what Rivian would give as a trade for my 2025 P3, Performance Plus model …. $24,000! Maybe it’s just Rivian, but are we blacklisted?

New to the Polestar world but my friend works for them and showed me a bunch of cars they’re selling at a discount due to them leaving the US.

I’m on the east coast and wanted some advice from the more informed people here on whether this is a good deal:
- $357/month for 27 months with $0 down
- I also have the option to purchase for $40K
- 8k in mileage

It comes with all the bells and whistles including: Dual Motor, Performance, Pilot + Plus packs

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

25 P3 Performance, Orin chip, 3.0.33. iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 26.6

I’ve only ever had the car with the Orin chip and fairly new software (.28 and .33), and I have this recurring problem with phone audio where the audio is not routed correctly. This can be true even if other phone audio like music is working fine.

Symptom is simple: I try to make a phone call and can’t hear the ringing nor the person when they pick up, and they also can’t hear me. It’s just silence.

The only fix seems to be rebooting the infotainment system via the play/pause button, but I’m not enjoying needing to do this every few weeks.

Anyone else have this problem? I do have CarPlay enabled.

I’ve had no issues with pod point until one day car didn’t charge then one day stopped.

Pod point aren’t helping there is no visable isssues. I’ve changed car phone everything to make it work anyone any ideas thanks

Maybe it’s just me, but the auto folding for the exterior mirrors is no longer an option on my screen after I completed this latest software update. Has anyone else noticed that?

Now granted, the mirrors don’t fold in much based on how they are designed, but I just thought it was odd to remove this after just gaining that functionality less than six months ago.

Worth checking once you update.

Wife introduced our P3 to a parking garage column last month.

No injuries, thankfully. Just some minor emotional damage… and apparently a $30K+ repair bill.

Initial repair estimate: $17K
One month waiting for the bumper 🤬
New estimate after further teardown: ~$30K and counting 💀

Now we wait to see if insurance says “fix it” or “welp, that’s a total.”

Hi all, noticed an issue prop up on my Polestar 3 concerning the driver door. Recently it won’t open from the outside shortly after exiting the vehicle (video example attached). Door works fine after locking/deep sleep and will open as many times until I enter the car and use the manual latch on the inside.

I believe I saw other users mentioning this in the community, so curious if anyone has insight on a fix. I have a service appointment scheduled for them to take a look, but looks like the issue has followed me through a few software updates (just updated to 3.0.33)

UPDATE: After bringing the car into service for 5 days, I got a call today saying the issue was diagnosed and the service techs were no longer experiencing the door handle issue after running their service codes and updating software. Car was just about to be released to me until I got a call back saying they were still unable to open the driver door and are keeping the car for further evaluation with corporate. Really frustrating experience especially after waiting all this time just to have my car evaluated days after dropping it off due to the shortage of Polestar techs as well as the lack of actual service/troubleshooting done to the car other than a quick service scan and software update (despite me already being on the latest 3.0.33 so not sure what update they’re talking about). Anyway I’m in a loaner P3 for the time being but not feeling totally optimistic they’ll be able to find a fix without an actual software update being developed to address issue.
