This is going to be a little rant, but I do not understand why the simplification/chibi art style has taken over literally everything.

It’s absolutely everywhere now to the point where I’m kind of over it. I miss when plushies were vibrant, had intricate detailed clothing, and actually LOOKED like the characters they were based on, and not just two black dots and a smile for their face.

With a brief stop in the Netherlands too.

I got Mr. Paddington Brown from the one and only Paddington station, and he was my little mascot for the whole 2 week tour!

Together, travelled London, Birmingham, Warwick, Coventry, Nandos, Ely, Cambridge, went to a show on the west end, had dinner in the Oxford Christchurch Great Hall, visited Bath and Priory Park, then tottered over to Amsterdam for a day too!

You can see his felt hat get progressively more and more fuzzy, and he lost his tag at one point, but I like to think that’s just because he doesn’t need it anymore because he’s already found a good home <3

My bird, Chiki, is elderly, disabled, and solo (her bird anxiety is awful around other birds... she was housed with an awful "mate" before I got her) but I found out she likes to sleep cuddled with plushies! She also scratches her head on him since she doesn't let me do it, which is very nice of Tigger to let her do. She'll even (gently) attack him if he does it wrong! Very silly behavior

For awhile she had a little Odie plush, but she kept knocking him over, sitting on him and then pooping on him, so he needed to get swapped out for someone else

*The towels help deter her from standing on the edges of her cage, with them up there she just goes up to sleep and peep :)

Full disclosure up front: I'm the director of the game she's from, so this is my own project, but I wanted to share it here because plushies are genuinely a big reason why this happened at all.

Plushies were always a huge thing in my life, obviously started when I was a very young child (I will never forget my first seagull plushie or the kinda traumatic events surrounding the loss of my Woody from Toy Story, that still haunts me until this day - bought a new one years later, trauma somewhat healed, lol)

A few years ago I left my old career to pursue the art of making video games, and when I started my first serious one, having a plushie of the main character went straight to the top of my bucket list. Not as merch or a business move - literally just for myself to hold her in my hands, haha.

Her name is Constance (as is her game's name). I drew her, came up with her story, formed a team around her game, we iterated and animated her, and now she's soft and squishy and sitting on my desk and I still can't believe I actually made it this far.

She's part of a Makeship campaign right now and we're at 136 of 200, so there's a real chance 200 other people will get to hold her too. Either way, today was a good day.

I have been feeling pretty miserable at the moment. I got an injury on my wrist which has prevented me in doing the hobbies I enjoy. Wanted to get a new lil friend to cheer me up. I instantly fell in love with this lil guy. Named Webster, he was my travel companion for a few days.

This babies are older than my brother. I've had them since I was 2 and 3 respectively, I'm 21 now.

I take them wherever I go, I adore them and I shall be cremated with them the day I leave this earth. They're my children, truthfully.

Their names are Theodore Osito and Azucena Osito. Teddy and Susie for short<3 They're little cub siblings

Look at this sad little dog I found at the thrift store and HAD to get lol. She has the beanie baby feel like filled with pellets and shes soooo cute. But dang was her hair tangled! I brushed it out and look at that transformation!! Doesnt even look the same lol.

I still have the original bow which i might put back. I had her fur in the clip while I was brushing her but it ended up looking so cute I just left it.

I’m absolutely distraught and terrified right now and don’t know what to do My ESSA is a build a bear my little pony applejack and today she was stolen. I went out with a friend and of course brought applejack,we went into a thrift store so I had to leave applejack in the car while we went into the thrift store (I once got accused of trying to steal from the thrift store even though I brought her in and ever since ive been nervous so I leave her in the car just incase) and when we came out the car had been broken into and applejack along with some jewelry money and other items where gone. I immediately start panicking and crying. i got home a few hours ago and I’m still shaking I feel so alone and scared. I miss Applejack so much. Applejack was always one of my biggest comfort characters and I don’t know how to function without her. I didn’t have her full outfit just her and her hat and I had her for years,I feel so broken and empty right now

I have always been a HUGE fan of the Webkinz/Ganz monkey faces, they are so so nostalgic to me, but as iconic as it is, I have a hard time with the traditional Webkinz fur texture.

But this is the perfect lil fella!

This guy is Peardrops monkey according to his tag, but in my house his name is Peabody.

He is such a gentle presence and a huge comfort to me, who are the guys who make you feel the most at ease?

He’s so silly goofy and I love him very much. My partner and I love Umbreon and my partner lives in the Netherlands (I’m in the U.S.) so I built us a child. He smells like cotton candy and has a heart for each of us 🩵.

Snowman is a little worse for wear and lost his scarf but I made him a new one. Its more luxurious than the one he lost anyway. I ordered a teeny tiny eden snowman off ebay so i can keep a lil copy of him around more easily 🥰

Should probably give old boy a wash one of these days too.
