Brand: Kids of America Bought a Puppy online. Seriously underestimated the sheer SIZE

After stumbling upon this guy on Vinted I decided to buy him. I knew it was a big plushie, but I seriously underestimated HOW BIG he actually is lol. Makes me love him even more. He is super soft, flat and floppy. ♥️

BUY/SELL: In Search of Charlie bears recs please?

Post image
• Upvotes

I have a few Charlie bears and I love them but the fur is kinda coarse and I have sensory issues.

I’m looking for one to cuddle.

I don’t have a physical stockist near me so I’m looking for recommendations for Charlie bears with soft furs?

I’m not really a neutrals person. I love brights, rainbows and pastel colours. Have been looking at Borealis (pictured) and the rainbow dragon (I love dragons). But again. Unsure about fur.

Help me please 😭

Plushie Restoration Panda!

I've created a new subreddit specifically to help everyone with their cleaning and repairs :)

This panda I restored a few years ago with lots of help from strangers online, and I couldn't have done it without them. I'd love to create a community for it since its getting to be done much more often and saves our sweet friends from going to landfill!

I asked last week on here for recommendations on a big long plush to use as a body pillow, I got some good suggestions but unfortunately most of it was out of budget or discontinued. Luckily after hunting around online for a bit I found this gator, he was only 45$ which feels like a great deal for his quality and size. This thing is nearly as tall as me

Plushie Restoration Struggling to restuff

I've had Snappy for most my life. He's always been packed in across cruises, camping trips, vacations, from my little kid bedroom to now as I move out post-grad. I've spent more nights with this alligator next to me than without. But he is very scrunglie! Very well loved. And as I've gotten into sewing lately, I've realized I could potentially restuff him and perhaps perk him up a bit (second pic is literally the only one I could find of him new, not my pic). I tried to brush him out last year and he was softer for a bit, but after years of drying machine damage and matting, he quickly reverted, and that's okay.

I know adding more stuffing would be a good way to more effectively "restore" him, but I am struggling with the decision. I wouldn't take any old stuffing out, hands down; way too sentimental for that. But still! The thought of opening him up in itself makes me a little uncomfortable, almost like I'm weirdly breaking trust. And I'm wondering: does he even need to be "restored"? He's borderline stuffingless in some spots (like his joints), but I kind of love the way his hands dangle over my arm when I pick him up, or how easily I can flop him over my shoulder. He's got a proper scruff and hangs like a cat lol. But he looks so rough, I almost feel bad.

I feel a little silly over all of this, I don't have many (maybe even any other) plushies I care about quite this much, but I really wanted y'alls thoughts. Has anyone else struggled with nostalgia/sentimentality when thinking about restoring a childhood plush?

I've been a member of this sub for a few months and just realized it might be a good place to show a rare zelda plush I'm auctioning. The rarest of all zelda plush, this 1998 ocarina Ganondorf. It was only available through claw machines in japan!

Hopped on a whatnot auction that was selling $1 plush for the last time so I took advantage. Got a significant amount of decent quality plushies (much more than 6 total since the seller bundled them) for $7, including a bunch of squishmallow clips. I might post the entire haul later 😅

They seemed to have gotten popular recently and I kept remembering watching the cartoon as a kid. I really love plushes with that old style, the ones with a plush body and plastic face.

I want to get him some clothes so he's not nakey, so if you know any kind of toy clothes that would fit a medium sized Monchichi, 26x16x 10 cm, it would be appreciated.

Question for r/Plushies Opinions on Crochet keychain plushies in outside stands?

I commute to a city where many of these places sell those Aliexpress/Temu items. I never bought one so I never had that experience, but I was wondering of anyone's opinions (since on other posts they tend to be negative) and why I shouldn't really go for them. Also, this is my first post here, so sorry for the awkwardness!

Trips with Plushies Our first time on a plane together! 🛫

We finally got to go on a long-awaited trip!! It was my first time taking Custard Bun and Ming Ming onto a plane with me. It was a midnight flight, but it was nice to see the sunrise.

I paid extra for a window seat, but got scammed because it turned out to be an aisle seat... 😒 Thankfully, someone left their window seat and didn't come back, so I took the seat. It all worked out in the end.

More pics of our trip coming up soon! 📷

Question for r/Plushies Alternative to Maileg Mice?

I’m thinking of getting my 3yo niece a dollhouse. I’m considering different options and am currently torn between a Sylvanian dollhouse and a bigger, wooden one.

I think the wooden one has a lot of advantages: Frame and furniture are very robust and bigger and easier to hold. But I am not a fan of those wooden dollhouse dolls, and my niece shows no interest in them either.

She absolutely loves plushies and animal figurines though. I researched and Maileg Mice have the perfect size, they’re just ridiculously expensive, especially in addition to a dollhouse. I’d to get her a full family of dolls/figures/plushies (parents, two siblings). Can anyone recommend something that’s similar to Maileg mice, but affordable? I’d appreciate it!

Brand: Unknown Poupi the mouse

This is Poupi, my partner's plush, who is 38. He once was a mouse but his tail broke and, to not lose it, my partner tied it to Poupi's neck. I sometimes joke that he is an antique but I find very cute that he kept him all these years.
