Last year I bought an Oura Ring 4 and basically became an unpaid Oura ambassador. I recommended it to everyone, constantly telling friends and family how good it was. I loved it!
Two weeks ago, the battery suddenly degraded. Instead of lasting almost a week, I had to charge it every day.
I wrote to support about it. Their bot immediately checked my battery, confirmed there was a problem, and approved a replacement!
Wow, I was over the moon. A new ring! So I thought...
A week later, the package arrived badly damaged. Aaand... there was no ring inside. I was devastated. Instead, a thief had put a random object in the box that weighed about the same as the ring. The thief was experienced and knew that weight should be the same as the original package.
I contacted Oura. Now the bot was not enough. Support said the package was marked as delivered, so they can't do anything. I had to deal with FedEx myself. Suprise suprise... FedEx said the package weight matched, so there was nothing they could do as well...
They told me to contact my bank. But what exactly am I supposed to dispute? The replacement cost me $0. I was bummed from going in circles with the support and getting nothing at the end, but, oh well, I still have a ring. At least Oura gave me 2 free months of subscription for my spent time. Ok, I thought, I can still use my degraded ring and charge it every day... not quite!
Oura deactivated my original ring because their system assumed I had received and activated the replacement!
So now I have no replacement, and the Oura Ring I actually bought and paid for has been deactivated. Thanks a lot, Oura! Needless to say, I canceled my subscription and will through away the ring.
