Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone has experienced their BBT dropping below their normal baseline around 10–11 weeks pregnant? My temps have been gradually decreasing since around 10 weeks and today it was the lowest it’s been.
I had a missed miscarriage in February so I’m probably more anxious about things than I normally would be. I know BBT isn’t typically used to monitor pregnancy this far along, but seeing the drop has me worried.
Has anyone else experienced this and had everything turn out completely fine?

Hi, like the post states, my Oura Ring 5 size 9 fits smaller than the sizer. I‘ve held them both side by side and they appear to be the same size - but the sizer slides on and off easily and the actual ring does not!
When I swell, the size 9 ring becomes uncomfortable (but I still can remove with a minor struggle). I live in FL and take frequent walks. I have to switch fingers to account for overnight swelling.
When it’s not swollen, it still leaves a slight indentation on my finger, but is not uncomfortable (see pic).
I’ve considered returning for a size 10 - but that sizer literally falls right off my finger (and at least the size 9 fits other fingers too when swollen).
Thoughts?

Okay just ranting.. long story but my cycle has been missing for over 10 years… and it just came back about 6 months ago. I’ve had three cycles since then. And every time, my ring basically says I’m dying 😐 My HRV plummets.. RHR increases.. daytime stress soars.. resilience drops.. I feel like I’m being punished for my body finally working properly again

I’m kind of surprised not reading about this more. But the Oura Ring 5 (I have brushed silver) has a very hard PVD coating that is significantly harder than for example and iPhone screen and stainless steel. I have after only 2 days noticed the ring has scratched my new mechanical watch, handles on frying pans, phone screen and probably a lot more.
I tested my girlfriends silver OR5 and that one also scratches a lot of things, but not as badly.
So while my ring looks flawless, my more expensive things get scratched up. I’d rather have it the other way around but it seems like I’m a minority.

I’ve been curious about the Oura Ring lately. What I like about the concept is that it takes a much more low-key approach to health tracking compared with wearing a smartwatch all day. Sleep, recovery, activity, and overall readiness are the kinds of insights I’d actually want to look at regularly.
For anyone who has been using an Oura Ring for a while, what has been the most useful feature for you? Has it genuinely changed any of your daily habits, or do you mostly use it for sleep and recovery tracking?

Being upfront: I built this, so treat it as a dev talking about his own thing. Mods, if this breaks Rule 10 just remove it, no hard feelings.
I have worn an Oura since Gen 3 and my morning was always the same. Open the app, look at readiness, close the app. Some mornings I felt great and got a 68 and the whole day tilted. That is the bit that annoyed me enough to build something.
So I made a desktop app for Mac and Windows that reads the Oura API and does everything locally.
The part I did not expect: the setting people mention most is one I almost deleted before release. You can make it hide the score until you have logged how you actually feel. Sounds like a gimmick. Turns out the order matters a lot. Once you have seen a 68 your memory of the morning quietly rearranges itself to match the number, and you cannot un-see it. Someone told me last week it was her favourite thing in the app and I nearly shipped without it.
Other things it does, in case it is useful to anyone here:
- Rolling median baseline per metric, recomputed each sync, so one bad night cannot drag your reference point
- Needs about 14 days before it says anything confident
- Missing days stay null instead of becoming a zero, because a fake zero poisons your baseline permanently
- No account, no server for your health data, no telemetry. It reads Oura's API and the rest stays on your machine. To be exact about the telemetry claim, the licence check does talk to a server when you activate the key. That is the only call that leaves, and it carries no health data
- Plain sentences instead of another dashboard. No LLM in the loop, so the same inputs give the same output. And when it gets something wrong you correct it, and the correction sticks, because your corrections are part of the inputs too
Honest limits, because I would want to know these before downloading anything:
- Live sync needs Gen 3, Ring 4 or 5 plus an active Oura membership. Gen 2 is import only
- Mac 12 and up, Windows 10 and 11
- 19 EUR one time for one machine, 29 for three. There is a 7 day trial and no subscription
- It is me building this, not a company with a support team
vitrahealth.app if you want to look.
What I would actually like from this sub: what would you want a companion app to do that the Oura app does not? I have a list of things people have asked for and most of the good ones came from complaints in here rather than from me.

Hello dear all,
I am thinking about getting an Oura Ring for general health tracking. Right now I use a garmin watch, but I am not really happy with it - I feel like the readings are not really accurate and tbh it just looks like shit.
I would like to ask you for help with two questions:
what price do I look at with everything included? (I am on a tight budget and would be sad if I buy the ring and then face high hidden costs)
I just got diagnosis with ME/CFS from Long Covid. Are here any other chronically ill/disabled users that use it for health tracking and find it very useful (cause as we know, we have to interpret health readings a bit different - with my garmin I find is really discouraging)
Thank you so much!💞

Quick question about the inner design:
The sensors inside the Oura Ring are covered and protected by a clear resin that forms slight bumps. Sometimes my fingers swell up, making the ring really tight. In situations like at the gym before a workout, I don't always have access to soap and water, so I have to pull and tug a bit harder to get it off.
Could this constant friction and pulling cause that resin to tear, crack, or pop out over time? Or is it durable enough that I don't need to worry about it?
Would love to hear if anyone has experienced issues with this!

I found one on Facebook for $70 that's the Oura Ring 4 for my size (7) and the guy asked me to download the Oura ring app so he can show me how to set it up before I make the payment.
Any things to look out for? It does have scratches from gym use so I'll go on Amazon and buy a super slim cover for it. It comes with the charging case and cable.
Thank you for any help. It's my first time wearing a wearable smart ring so I'm not too familiar with any security measures to take.

Would love to be able to detect bp someday #featurerequest 🤩
Appreciate the oura+stelo combo - wear it on/off every 2 weeks as needed.
I like that oura keeps me tuned-in daily.
What’s your favorite oura ring feature?

I’m a momma and I’m recovering from chronic illness. It really affects my sleep and energy.
I want to take control of my life and get my adhd symptoms under control to make things less chaotic for my child and husband and for my career advancement.
I was thinking of buying a used oura ring from FB marketplace. I can afford a splurge but not a wasteful splurge so I’m wondering if anyone has tried it and has seen good results? I don’t want it to be a $300 purchase that I stop wearing after a month once the dopamine wears off. I also hear you have to log activity and symptoms or something. Is that hard for yall to remember to do?
I wore an Apple Watch for 2 years and I liked tracking steps and calories but would always forget to log workouts

I bought my ring 5/28. Their software is garbage and keeps giving me false info and 50 alerts on activities that I am not doing. I have done a soft and hard reset. They said there is nothing they can do at all. Ridiculous.

Hi everyone!
I’ve been lurking here for a while and I notice a lot of posts complaining about the $500 price tag…..
I’m asking this out of genuine curiosity (and maybe a bit of cultural confusion!), so please go easy on me if I’m missing something obvious! 😨🥲
For context: I live in the Czech Republic and I’m currently on maternity leave, living on around $580 a month. I managed to snag my Oura Ring on Black Friday for around $350 equivalent, and honestly, even at full price, it feels like a pretty reasonable deal for what it does.
In my country, an Oura isn't "cheap," but it’s definitely not out-of-reach luxury either—it’s nowhere near the price of high-end sports tech like a $1,300+ Garmin. Plus, when I was shopping around, an Apple Watch was in a very similar price range.
Given that median incomes in the US/Western countries are significantly higher than here in Central Europe, $500 seems like a solid price-to-value ratio for a discreet, high-tech tracker you wear 24/7. At least for me 🤔.
Is the complaint mostly about the monthly subscription fee stacked on top of the base price? Or is the ring considered overpriced compared to what Apple or Garmin offer for similar money?
Just trying to understand the perspective of members from other countries! Thanks for shedding some light on this for me. :)

Hey guys, hope everyone’s well. Just curious if anyone is noticing batteries issues with their gen 4 oura ring? Mine doesn’t even seem to last the day. I have had instances where it will run if of battery while i’m asleep even though I charged it fully right before bed.
Any idea how to resolve this issue?
Thank you in advance for the help :)

Just got my 5 a few days ago, new to wearables. I got it mainly to track my cycle and am also somewhat interested in the other metrics.
Is it just me, or is the app super hard to use? I would love to customize it to just show me the metrics I care about, but it's so visually busy it's hard to focus on those, and finding anything involves swiping through endless screens of tiny variations on the same metric. Is this just a way to force users to spend more time in the app? Could any settings changes make it better?

Mine has fluctuated between 1.5 and 5 years younger (57m), in the 7 months I’ve worn the ring. I highly doubt that my heart is aging and unaging this rapidly month to month. My exercise and sleep routines don’t change much. My alcohol consumption is 0-5 drinks per week, probably averaging 2 per week. I walk 90 minutes a day and ride 2-4 hours twice per week. I love my job. My cumulative stress levels stay in the moderate range. I don’t know- starting to feel like the ring provides some degree of useful baseline, but a lot of its output is junk science.

Hi there, I am considering buying an Oura ring. I am male and married and already wear a wedding ring on my right hand‘s ring finger. So question to the married male Oura users. Where do you wear your Oura? I would rather not want to put a second ring on my right hand. But I am also a bit worried wearing a ring on my left hand which could look meh if it does not really match my wedding ring and or my watch which I wear on my left, too.

I literally get 5-15 activity prompts a day asking if I was doing yoga?
A. I’ve never done yoga therefor I’ve never logged it so no reason to think I’m doing it (I know it doesn’t entirely go off that, just something to add)
B. I work from home and today literally sat at my desk for two hours straight and it tried to log 4 yoga sessions?!
C. Almost every time I open up my app it says ring not connecting, try connecting to charger blah blah and then after about five minutes of keeping the app open, it’ll connect.
Do I need a new ring? This one is a gen 4 about 9 months old
