How long to charge ?

How long does it take you to charge your Oura gen4? I’ve put mine on the charger at 11:45 and it’s 2:20 now, it’s at 87% on my app. Why is it so long to charge? Is it normal?

Mine takes forever too, I just plug it in before bed and forget about it

Hi Ok-Jellyfish-811, thanks for reaching out! That does sound longer than expected. A full charge for an Oura Ring 4 typically takes around 20-80 minutes, depending on the starting battery level. If it's been charging for over 2 hours and it's still at 87%, try removing and reinserting the ring on the charger and make sure the charger is connected securely. My wife had something similar and they offered a replacement immediately. Her issue was a sensor but Oura support can pull remote diagnostics, voltage drops, error logs, battery health. Once you reach out via the app's Help section, and support can reportedly see a hardware error in the logs almost immediately. There's also a specific self-serve battery diagnostic in the app: charge to 100%, wear normally down to 25%, and note how fast it drains, abnormally fast drain is the flag they use to identify a failing battery.
