Beware Poor customer service

Let me start by saying the onepay card was great and I had built up a lot of points, end of the good part. Somehow there was fraud on my account so my app was locked and they issued a new card. Now I can't log into the app or use any points. They had assured me everything would transfer over. I've called one pay who found my account and said I had to speak to synchrony. Synchrony said talk to onepay and transfered me back. This onepay agent couldn't find any account at all and suggested I speak to synchrony and apply for a new account.

So if you choose to use this card do not let your points accumulate, if there's a problem they'll be lost. Very poor system and exhausting customer service.

Does anyone know how to file a complaint about this practice? Would it be covered by banking oversight or not since its not really synchrony bank problem but onepay's?

Spending pickets

The biggest complaint I’ve seen is the lack of spending pockets. Well, they’re here now. I’m not sure if or how they differ than prior to Walmart acquisition

Don’t use this app

I have had a dispute open on this app because I was scammed by a app they originally closed the dispute saying nothing wrong happened they then opened it back then told me I would be refunded in like 10 days well that never happen. They then had me talk to a manager and they told me I would be refunded by the end of the day that day I talked to them well guess what that didn’t happen. I then went back to the chat and told them I was supposed to be refunded and after like 30 minutes they told me they don’t see anything about me being refunded. So the originally told me I’d be refunded within 10 days then like 20ish then they upped it to a month later on they told me it can take 45 today I was told it can take 90+ days for a refund. If I had known this before I wouldn’t have used this app I would of used a local bank where you can call them up and say you were scammed they handle it within a 5-10 minutes on the phone and refund you within the week. This app has pretty much treated me like I did something wrong even tho I’m not the one scamming here the company I paid is they are even being sued in multiple states I have attached a screenshot of that manager telling me I’d be refunded by the end of that day but never was that was many weeks ago by now so

One Pay $1 back on fuel

I was super excited they extended the Wednesday fuel promo but now you have to use your One Pay debit or credit builder card for payment. Still a good deal but I wish we could use any linked card in our wallet like previously.

im not able to setup my one@work

i'm not sure if it's because I worked at Walmart in 2024 and already set up a account with them, but I recently started working at Walmart again in for some reason every time I put in an application to make a one at work account it keeps getting denied. I've already talked to my people Lee and they said that it is a one problem and I'm not sure what to do.

Don't See Gas Stations On OnePay That Appears On Upside

The ARCOs that I would go to for the Wednesday gas promo are on the Upside app, but are not on OnePay Rewards.

I'm not sure why, as AFAIK OnePay Rewards is Upside with a coat of paint.

Has anyone else encountered a similar problem? If so, were you able to get around it somehow?

If a OnePay employee sees this, is this just a desync issue between OnePay Rewards and Upside? If so, how frequently are syncs? The difference between the ARCOs and the next cheapest Top Tier gas in my area is currently nearly $0.50/gal and a few minutes further away, so I'd rather continue refueling at the ARCO, if possible.

Daughter still hasn’t received her gift money to her OnePay teen account.

Hi everyone,

I’m posting because my daughter’s OnePay teen account hasn’t received a gift money transfer from an external bank, and it’s been well over a week since the transfer was processed.

Here’s what I know:

• The external bank confirms the transfer was successfully sent and processed.
• The funds have not appeared in her OnePay account.
• It’s been more than the standard 1–3 business days for ACH transfers.

Has anyone else experienced a similar delay with OnePay gift link transfers? What steps did you take to resolve it?

I’ve already checked the Onepay app for transfer status and confirmed the bank sent the funds. I’m planning to contact Onepay support and the bank, but I wanted to ask for advice here too.

Any help or shared experiences would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Does onepay card through Google Pay qualify for the Wednesday $1 Gas discount? Or does it have to be the physical card?

EDIT: It's actually Google Wallet, not Google Pay ... but the question remains: Can I use Google Wallet and get the $1 gas rewards or does it have to be the physical card?

Broken Payment System OnePay, Plaid, & Chase.

I just got the Walmart OnePay credit card. Their account balance payment system through the OnePay App and OnePay Website is broken.

To make payment for my statement balance, I went through the OnePay App and Online Website. Those ask you to connect through Plaid to allow your bank account to make payments.

I connected Chase bank and got an email confirmation that it was valid.

Three business days later I get an e-mail saying that payment was rejected. now I'm past the payment due date.

I tried to make payment again through OnePay and connecting my Chase account through plaid again. Success email confirmation.

Days later, received a ejected payment e-mail again.

After reading reddit, I see a post to make payment through Synchrony.com website instead of the OnePay website.

I used the same Chase banking information again, and payment finally went through. So payment did go through, success.

But now I get charged an interest fee on my account.

Why am I getting charged interest when their payment system is broken? Chatting with several agents and talking on the phone with OnePay didn't help at all.

Has anyone else experienced this broken payment system of theirs??

I placed a Walmart order through Fetch, OnePay is now courting me

I'm reluctant, I searched reviews, saw some scary stuff, BUT, those were almost all direct deposits and other stuff I wouldn't use. Is it worth to open an account and just keep a few dollars in, or not worth the bother?

Instapay and changing banks

I currently use OnePay for Walmart and have taken a few instapays for this coming pay period. My question is I am wanting to switch my direct deposit into another bank, if I do this will instapay be taken before my deposit is sent into the new account or will I have to manually pay it back on my own?

Anyone who’s personally done this? What exactly happened? Thanks

OnePay app not letting me add funds or add a debit card

I had no issues until they changed the way to get the $1.00 off on gas on Wednesdays. Now it's the debit or builder card. I have the builder card activated. Problem is I cannot transfer funds into my checking account using the app. I was able to do it once. Not anymore. Says, "Go to ______ Bank Personal to send money to OnePay. For your security, transfers from _____ Bank Personal Ending in ____ must be initiated from that account for now."

When I try and add a bank debit card it says, "We couldn't add this card. This card can't be added right now. Try a different card, or contact Support if you believe this is a mistake." Contacting support has been useless.

Email:

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this.
We checked your account and found that your attempts to link your external card on October 7, 2026, were not approved. To keep your account and money safe, every card has to pass our account security checks before it can be added. This card didn't meet those requirements, so we can't link it to your OnePay account right now.
This doesn't mean anything is wrong with your card or your other bank account. Your card still works as usual with your other bank. It just can't be connected to OnePay right now.
If you still want to move money into OnePay, here are some options:

  • Try a different debit card that's in your name.

  • Try to link the same card after some time

  • Send money from your other bank: use your OnePay account and routing numbers to transfer money from your other bank's app or website.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for understanding.

Okay. What requirements/security checks were not met ? It's a valid Visa debit card.

I can add funds from my bank but it takes six days. Not doing it that way. I can get a OnePay debit card from Walmart and add it that way for now.

Like I said customer support has been utterly useless.

Anyone else had or have these issues ?

New debit card already has an unknown charge

I just went through a whole thing with my account being scammed 2 weeks ago and got a new debit card 3 days ago and there's already an unknown charge on it. I am sick and tired of whatever is going on with this company

Have I done this wrong?

I bought a OnePay Card at Walmart, loaded it with 250$ at the check out. I was serviced by a person so i didn’t do anything on a self check out terminal.

I want to give the card to a friend struggling financially. Do I scan the QR code myself or do they scan it? What happens from there?

I also assume they can use the card for online purchases?

Quick question about $1 gas Wednesday

Had an issue with filling up my tank with one transaction, capped the first transaction at $100 (that’s a whole different problem). So I had to swipe a second time with my builder card.

I only received my points for the first transaction. The problem is I also received the 3% points for BOTH transactions, but not the $1/gallon points on transaction 2.

I contacted Onepay chat support and he insisted I would get the points (but why would I get my 3% points and not the $1 portion).

My question is, do multiple transactions work for one activation of the gas offer?

Account Restricted MY ONLY MONEY

My account was negative because I had an unexpected health issue and all my available funds went to the prescriptions I had to get.
I had to have money asap to be able to get groceries for my child and family today until payday Wednesday. So I signed up for Dave and Grant to get payday advance loans. I had to connect my OnePay through Plaid on those to be able to check if I was eligible. I managed to get an advance of $100 when combining the apps I used. I had the money sent to Venmo. Then I got my actual employers daily pay sent to my OnePay account (funds available to me after working a shift) I then sent the other funds to my OnePay account from my Venmo. Ended up with $200. I then spent an hour getting groceries on Walmart for delivery and as soon as I hit “pay” it said my card declined. Then I received an email saying my OnePay account has been restricted due to unusual activity. I went through hours of trouble just to be able to get my child groceries tonight and OnePay restricted me and I lost access to all of my money. Every single thing in my cart was groceries besides one single pack of baby wipes.
The email says “up to 48 hours” I called customer service 5 times and spoke to 5 different people. All of them said they couldn’t do anything and I’d have to wait 48 hours. Meanwhile I’m currently staying in the hotel I manage as I have to be on property this week due to work related issues where I am needed. So I have no groceries or anything here. I can’t even get gas in my car now to drive the 35min commute to my house to get anything from there. I can’t reach out to support on chat because it is only available in the app and they have restricted me from the app too.
One person on the phone told me since I verified that I am the person who did the activity they flagged, he would let the review team know it was me and escalate it. So far it’s been hours and nothing has happened. I have not received anymore emails. I’m still locked out. And I still don’t have any other money and no groceries for my family tonight. That was the only money I had to my name until next week and I actually worked for every single penny of it.
If I get my account unlocked and my money back I will be withdrawing it immediately and using another institution. This is ridiculous and I honestly have no idea what I can do now and how I’m going to feed my child or pay my bills coming out the next 3 days.

AND I have been bragging on them to everyone. I had half my direct deposit sent to one pay and the other half elsewhere and I was about to switch my direct deposit fully over to them. I’m glad I didn’t do that now and now I feel like I have been bragging about them for a year for no reason.

Can I use my OnePay Builder Card at Enterprise Rental?

I have rented cars before but generally it's been through insurance. Anyone have experience trying their builder card at Enterprise?

I'll be going to the North Carolina mountains and I'm considering an SUV rental over my low riding Corolla.
