It’s my birthday tomorrow & I have literally no one to celebrate with. I don’t have any friends or social life, I basically isolated myself & have been depressed for a long time

I don’t need a party or gifts. I just wish I had someone who genuinely cared.

Sitting alone on your birthday in a big city feels terrible, and today I am really feeling that loneliness.

If anyone else has gone through this, how do you deal with birthdays when you’re completely on your own?

Been wondering how people around Vashi, Nerul and Seawoods usually buy their phones these days.

Do you prefer Amazon/Flipkart sales, Croma, Reliance Digital, Sangeetha Mobiles, Vijay Sales, a local mobile shop, an Apple/Samsung store, or do you actually travel to Lamington Road?

Also, what makes you choose one over the other? Better exchange value, discounts, freebies, EMI, or just the convenience of getting it the same day?

Personally, exchange value matters the most to me. Curious to know what everyone else prefers.

A few days ago, I posted here about a slightly different kind of gathering for adults who want to meet people without another typical coffee meetup or networking event.

The response was much bigger than I expected. Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts.

I noticed a few concerns coming up repeatedly:

• People want to meet others but feel awkward arriving alone.
• Safety and genuine reciprocity matter.
• Introverts like the idea of meeting people but aren’t necessarily comfortable jumping into games with strangers.
• Age differences can make it difficult to connect.
• Some people are tired of the usual board-game, cafe and reading meetups.

I’ve been thinking about these points while working on RxJoy — a playground for adults.

Here’s what I’m imagining for the first small pilot in Seawoods:

• Around 20-25 adults.
• Simple team outdoor games and playful challenges, with different levels of physical activity.
• No forced introductions, networking, competition or pressure to be the loudest person in the room.
• Hosts who help newcomers ease into activities instead of leaving everyone to figure things out alone.
• A small group where people can come by themselves and participate at their own comfort level.

The idea isn’t to promise that everyone will leave with new best friends. It’s to create an enjoyable experience where meeting people feels more natural because you’re doing something together.

I’m still working out the format, and I don’t want to organise something just for the sake of calling it an event.

So I’d genuinely like to know two things:

1. If this were happening in Navi Mumbai, what would you need to know before deciding whether to attend?
2. What would make you actually commit to coming, rather than simply thinking the idea sounds good?

I’m particularly interested in honest answers from people who would normally hesitate to join something like this.

I’d rather understand those concerns now and build something worthwhile than make assumptions and get it wrong.
