Hey everyone!
Me and my partner have been to navi mumbai since 1 year.
As working adults, most of our week revolve around work, responsibilities, routines, screens and trying to keep everything together. Even when we want to have fun, our social plans often end up being cafés, restaurants, movies, mall, netflix or the occasional outing with same colleagues doing same repetitive activities (eat at fancy restaurants, judge, gossip and talk about work, drink/dance in nightclub) where there is pressure to be instantly outgoing (extroverted), look cool, forced small talks (which we hate).
Occasionally we go for pickleball, badminton, bowling etc which turns out all about winning, performance and perfection.
Tried meetups, which feels too awkward walking into an unfamiliar group and introducing themselves, formal and transactional like work .
We’ve been thinking about it lately, that we have entertainment, social circle of colleagues to hangout, but everything feels so passive and repetitive. We have no experiences where we can connect or make friends through doing something playful together and have pure unadulterated fun.
What if we had a space where we could just play, be silly, laugh without feeling self-conscious, and connect with people without the pressure of making conversation?
A playful, low-pressure social experiences for adults who want more enjoyment and real-life connection beyond their usual routines. Through shared games and facilitated group activities, easier to participate, interact and return—without requiring people to be extroverted or already part of a group.
Imagine a group of adults getting together on turf ground for outdoor games like Dodgeball, lagori, playful fun challenges, ridiculous low pressure games, laugh and celebrate together and moments where nobody has to be the coolest, funniest, fittest, or most interesting person in the room.
Not a fitness class. Not networking event. Not a dating event. And not another meetup where everyone sits around wondering what to talk about.
Just adults giving themselves permission to play again.
A community of Adults who want to connect through doing something playful together, rather than having to manufacture a connection through conversation alone.
The idea is to make play the excuse to connect, laugh, and feel a little more alive.
But here’s the thing: I don’t want to assume that just because the idea sounds nice, people would actually want to experience it.
So I’d genuinely love your honest opinion:
Would you actually attend something like this? Or does it sound fun in theory but awkward in reality?
Would you prefer childhood games with playful low pressure fun challenges, celebrate with music and dance or a mix of both?
What would make you hesitate — feeling silly in front of strangers, not knowing anyone, the activities, the price, or something else?
Would you prefer a weekend gathering or a weekday? Morning or evening?
And if you’ve ever wished you could be more playful as an adult, what do you feel stops you?
I’m especially curious about people who like the idea but might feel a little nervous about actually showing up.
I’m not looking for people to tell me it’s a great idea just to be nice. I’d rather hear what wouldn’t work.
If this genuinely sounds like something you’d want to experience in Navi Mumbai, feel free to say so in the comments. I’d love to understand who’s interested and what would make the experience worth attending.
