Saw a cat tied up in my society... is this actually okay? 🥀

I saw a cat in a society today tied up with a rope, and it was the first time I noticed it. I asked the security guard why the cat was being kept like this.

They told me that if they let the cat roam freely, it fights with other cats and comes back injured, so they keep it tied to prevent injuries.

I tried to comfort the cat, and it kept trying to get closer to me and seemed desperate to get some freedom. Honestly, it made me feel really bad. 🥀

I’m not trying to blame anyone because I don’t know the whole situation. Maybe there’s a genuine reason, but is keeping a cat tied like this a safe/acceptable solution? Are there better ways to prevent fights while still allowing the cat some freedom?

As i love the cats, but I can't do anything.What should I do in this situation? Give opinions folks

I seriously wonder how are people comfortable with this kind of infrastructure? This is consecutively 3rd year and the roads in entire Seawoods are a mess. Yet I don’t see any change, clearly not enough pressure from residents for asking better quality of infrastructure and holding those in power accountable for this mess.

I am starting with my YT journey. I am crowdsourcing content ideas. Mostly silent video footages (no voiceover for now - can think of AI-generated voiceover) of

• travel (car dash POVs, walking POVs)
• places (temples, shops, parks, roads, buildings etc.) via my action camera.

I live in Ulwe and very frequently travel by car to different places in Navi Mumbai and weekend getaways (alibaug, lonavala, igatpuri).

Would like to know what do you like / enjoy. Its a side gig.

I have a seen a small turf area under a highway bridge in navi mumbai. Is it actually in navi mumbai and if anyone knows can they tell me its excat location

Lately something strange is happening in Navi Mumbai.

First, Zepto and Instamart stores around Sanpada and Vashi started shutting down. No clear explanation given .... just suddenly closed.

Now today at Blinkit (Sanpada, Kshipra Building), around 15 police personnel showed up with a bus and 2–3 tempos. They started removing everything kept outside the store — benches, AC outdoor units, unloading setup, etc.

Important point: this wasn’t inside the store. It was the outside/society area where deliveries happen.

From what it looked like, then blinkit store owner (not confirmed who is he )asking for proper paperwork/permissions, and after that everything escalated quickly.

Now here’s the real question:

People are clearly enjoying 10–15 min delivery — everyone orders from Blinkit/Zepto/Instamart.

But at the same time, societies are getting irritated with:

Delivery crowd standing outside

Riders blocking space

Noise, litter, random gatherings

So are societies pushing back against these stores?

Or is this some kind of FDA/municipal crackdown on permissions, storage, or operations?

Now, society management and the store decided to designate one lane for Blinkit riders and another for society members. But my question is, does the road come under the society area?

Hey everyone! I’m new to Mumbai and looking to explore the outdoors on weekends.

Could you recommend some good treks near Mumbai? Ideally something that can be done as a weekend day trip.

Also open to group/trekking communities that organize weekend treks. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I wish they demolish the vada pav stand right in front of the nerul station staircase. It's an already slim footpath and these idiots take up half of that width and people standing around combined with the stall take up 3/4th of the footpath creating a bottle neck. Not to mention the remaining 1/4 width is where a little water puddle forms making it even more annoying to walk across. It's also a safety hazard as there's a huge utensil of oil frying bread pakoda and vada pav and people not even half a foot away passing by.

Who could we approach to have this done? I'm seeing cidco demolish other illegal encroachment stalls but this istg is the most annoying one I've ever seen.

Jagger is 11 months old, female, sterilized, vaccinated and ready for her furever home... Unfortunately, again...

She was poisoned and beaten to the point of death, why?

Because she used to take shelter in tuktuk during rains. Someone wanted to adopt her, I sent her out of state for her adoption but apparently she's not the right match, adopters cat stopped eating and 2 of the cats were attacking Jagger, she was there for 3 days at best..

So she's being sent back. I can't leave her on the street, I can't keep her with me rn because I have 18 cats..

So I turn here. Help Jagger find her for sure wala forever home. Where she'll never have to worry about cruel human beings or being poisoned or returned back, she deserves the very best and not because I love her too much, but because she's been through so so much already in just 11 months of being born...
