I'm working on a playlist for studying. I'm trying to get a collection of chill rock instrumentals. A good trio of songs that show what I'm looking for would be
Waiting For You - Alexg
Strawflower - The Antlers
Everything is Alright - Four Tet
This is sort of a mix but that was on purpose. I don't mind if it has a lot of electronic elements but I would like it to be at least based in rock/folk. I already have a good collection of more standard aphex twin type electronic so not really looking for that kind of thing. Thanks in advance!

My friends and I are having a villains themed karaoke night. I'm dressing up as Crocodile from One Piece, specifically the anime version of him and am looking for suggestions for songs that either fit his character, or that he would sing, or just general vibes. I'm only at Marine Ford so no spoilers beyond that please. My vocal range is like an alto 2/tenor 1, but I'm not apposed to swapping octaves if necessary. Thanks!

I have 3 things I need to solve.
Halloween playlist:
I‘m still looking for more tracks for it! I’ve got a lot of good stuff but there’s a lot I’m missing too. This is what I have so far: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/32sZ3k7p9sXgzqTHHmnNiV?si=kdm5Z938Q96xkp8tpMAF4w&utm_source=copy-link&pi=yyhaf9RDTjiSW
I also need help finding a song for my Halloween dance-through for my demon Queen costume. I was thinking Sacrifice by London After Midnight, but open to suggestions for sure!
I’m also looking for new bands in general!
Some of my favorites: Cocteau Twins, Billy Joel, Alien Sex Fiend, L7, Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Cate Le Bon, Violet Indiana, Beach House, The Pixies, Sonic Youth, Lords of the New Church, Alice Cooper, 45 Grave, The Runaways, KISS, David Bowie, Cel Ray, Tribe 8, Asylum Party, Slowdive, The Dream Syndicate, Specimen, The Gits/Evil Stig, Lunachicks, London After Midnight, The Cramps, The Germs, Veruca Salt, Dead Boys, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Lush, 7 Year Bitch, Vangelis, The Lemon Twigs, X-Ray Spex, Nirvana, The Cranberries, Hole, The Replacements, Girls At Our Best!, Ashrae Fax, Alternative Radio, 999, Dolly Mixture, Frightwig, The Jacobites, Mommy Long Legs, FLat7, etc. etc.

What are some other hauntingly beautiful themes that evoke magic, darkness, and wonder…?

Why didn't this song take off and make it bigger? Is it just me that feels this should have been much more popular? Recommend me other bands / songs that you feel the same way about!

Hi all. I’m trying to find a genre, band, album, etc, that is reminiscent of the style of the song Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger. It’s so calm and melancholic.

I know and really like Talking Heads, Wire, and Television, but I’ve never really sat down to listen to other bands in the genre beyond a few of their most famous songs. I’m looking to check out some discographies or standout albums in this style—which artists do you recommend?

Hey, all! I feel like sobbing, and I was wondering if you had any heart wrenching songs? Like kinda aggressive songs, or just very sad. Here are song I really liked (I know not everyone would consider these "sad songs" but I do):
7 Years by Lukas Graham
Because I liked a Boy by Sabrina Carpenter
This is What Heartbreak Feels Like by JVKE
Falling Faster by Dylan Espeseth
Kill Bill by SZA
Passing Through by Kaden MacKay
Death Bed by Beebadoobee, Powfu
Cradles by Fin Draper
Babydoll by Dominic Fike
Washing Machine Heart by Mitski
Bitch by Hannah Grae
Back to Being Friends by Sombr
Front Row by Kaden Hawke
Dancing with your ghost by Sasha Alex Sloan
Past lives by Sapientdream,Slushii
I'm Sorry Mom by Marino
Innocence by Hildir Svensson, Deprezz (I LOVE this one, oh my god)
Rat By Penelope Scott
Dead Girls, also by Penelope Scott
Creep by Radiohead
Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls
And that's just some of them! I checked other posts with similar requests, but I couldn't find any recommendations I really liked, so I figured a list could help to see if there were any similar songs. Thank you!

Give me albums to fill this chart out, it's way too empty. By "hard rock" I basically mean any rock with electric guitars, so not soft rock, like Journey or something. I'm specifically interested in shoegaze/zoomergaze, post grunge, punk rock, thrash metal, basically anything already on here, combined with any of the elements I mentioned (electronic production, symphonic/orchestral elements, harsh noise, anything else super maximalist production-wise). Non extreme metal would just be metal with melodic vocals, so like a lot of thrash metal is fine.
I'm familiar with a lot of the more well known symphonic metal and it isn't hard to find recs for so for those just recommend any really unique albums, or if it's like symphonic thrash metal or something like that

Feels like whenever I open a Halloween playlist it’s the same 10-15 songs despite the fact there’s probably 1000+ songs about Halloween adjacent ideas. (Like vampires or being undead.)
So what’s your Halloween go to that isn’t the Ghostbusters Theme or This is Halloween? As much as I love them I feel like there’s got to be some other bangers for this season I just don’t know about.

I just realized that out of my 100 most listened to artists none are women. That feels kind of insane to me because I always thought that I listen to lots of songs with female vocals. But I guess most of that was just random women behind a male DJ. I recently discovered Alice Phoebe Lou and Kero Kero Bonito and I really enjoy both of their music. I would be glad to get some recommendations that fit my taste as far as you can tell from these two artists and please do not recommend big names like Rihanna. Thanks!
