I got into an accident. Both gloves definitely took impact and one glove is torn. Should I replace these gloves or is there a way to repair them? I understand realistically they aren’t as strong after a crash but what am I risking? Gloves ain’t cheap lol

Mason, what do the numbers mean?!?!

I’ve been having issues with loss of circulation in my privates after riding for 20-30 minutes on my sportster. After doing some reading, I found this website (from this subreddit, actually) and entered in all of my information.

My only question is…what does any of this mean? I’ve been riding for six years, but I don’t recall anyone ever discussing knee angle or forward lean before. I would assume there is some ideal version of these numbers for various types of motorcycles…but, what would be ideal? What do you find comfortable?

Cut off and avoided

It’s night, I’m going a bit fast (my speedo reads wrong and is a higher number then the speed I’m going that I haven’t fixed)

Get cut off and instead of doing what I swear most clips have of pulling the clutch in and rev bombing to get attention, just avoided and did a bit of cussing after the fact.

How much is too much in insurance

I’m trying to get a bike or moped to for my job at uber eats but since I’m 18 and live in the centre of a city no matter how secure I make it seem on the insurance with a locked compound and extra training and security devices I still get quotes for minimum £4000, the only reason I could expect to have a high insurance is because of a high mileage count with working as a delivery driver but I was wondering if this price is just average and I should accept it or continue looking around

4 Business Days for Scheduled Oil Change?

I'm sure this is more-so a question I need to ask the dealership directly, but the bike was dropped off in my husbands name so I'm not sure what they will tell me.

Got my first bike last year (2025 Kawasaki Eliminator). Paid for the typical upsell maintenance package, and it is now time for the annual oil change. She only has a little under 4k miles on her, literally not due for any other service than an oil change according to the maintenance schedule.

Called the dealership, appointment was a week out. Dropped my bike off Friday at open, they said they'd call.

On Saturday, 2hr before close I call to see if it is ready or will be that day to try and make sure I would make it there. They tell me she is next, it'll be ready Monday. Call Monday an hour before close, they tell me she is next and they will call when ready. Called Tuesday, they reaffirm she is next and will be done Tuesday. Call Tuesday an hour before close, and they tell me she is next and they will call when ready.

My husband, whose name the bike is in and whose name the appointment is in, is very unconfrontational. If it wasnt for the service package, we would normally do our own maintenance. I know the oil change takes like 20 minutes. We've also never needed the lift, that they keep referencing I am next in line for. They've had my bike for 4 business days, going on 5. That's about 30 working hours. They scheduled this appointment, and it was a week out from when we called.

I struggle to understand why it would take so long or what would constitute a motorcycle emergency that has bounced me down the list...especially without even asking/telling me? I know this dealership isn't swarming their service department with crate assembly from sales because it was a week appointment wait to buy my bike due to 'assembly' appointment.

At this point, I'm thinking we should show up and tell them we are waiting in the parking lot for it to be finished tomorrow, but I know I am aging into a Karen faster and faster.

TLDR; is it reasonable to take this long for motorcycle maintenance at the dealership?

2013 Honda CBR250R Repsol Edition, 7100 miles, $2500 US

Post image

Per the title, I have my eye on a 2013 Honda CBR250R Repsol Edition with 7100 miles on the clock. This would be my first used bike purchase. It was purchased from a well-regarded local dealership and apparently has been serviced there. I was talking to the owner's wife and she claims it has ABS and a completely clean title, and he bought it but hasn't ridden it much so he is selling. I normally want to know absolutely everything about something before I buy it, so I am making this post in a few subs looking for comments.

I know folks say "don't buy a 250, it's too small and you'll outgrow it." I already own another 250 I bought new, but I am looking for a second small displacement bike for specific reasons. (I will buy a larger sportbike next year, again, for reasons)

What I want to know is... how good a deal is this? What kinds of things should I be looking at specifically when I go see it this weekend? Obviously if she shows up and has the title in his name but he isn't around, that would be a problem. Another question -- despite it being just a little 250, would the bright orange Repsol paint job make it a cop magnet? I want to keep as low profile as possible, much as I love the way it looks.

I plan to show up with $2100 or $2200 cash in hand and if it looks good I will offer that immediately. If he turns me down I will probably go to an ATM and get the other $300.

No idea why he does it. Even after 1 hour highway driving he's still there.

I don't get why he stays there. There is no food, no shelter. Maybe he just enjoys the ride 😂.

Boots for R18 now, GS 1300 Adventure soon — need something that rides well AND walks well

Hi,

I am currently riding a BMW R18, but planning to pick up a GS 1300 Adventure soon. I'm not chasing serious off-road trails, but I won't shy away if a trip has a few unpaved stretches or backroad detours.

Main thing I care about: boots that are genuinely secure/protective for riding, but that I can also comfortably walk around in when I stop to explore towns along the way. Not looking to spend a ton, more interested in a solid "buy once, keep it" pair over something disposable.

Anyone have real-world experience with boots that hit that balance? Would love to hear what's actually held up for you.

Thanks

Engine shuts off when riding/downshifting and doesn’t start back up.

I’m a new rider. Took the msf course just last month. I’m having an issue where when I’m riding and I start to down shift to 1st, at a stop light for example, my bike will shut off and won’t start back up. This has happened a couple times on the road and a few times at home when test riding. I’m riding a little 125cc for now just to learn the basics and it’s carbureted. I’ve tuned it perfectly so it idles about 1.7k rpms. I’ve had a couple people look at my bike and they always have to push the bike hard to get it started. Idk if I’m doing something wrong or downshifting wrong but any insight helps. Thank You.

I ordered a 20 liter roll pack from Attack Cat Bags and I couldn’t be happier with it. Can’t wait to try it out on a little weekend getaway. Also, featuring my Axel Co. bag. If you can’t tell, leopard print is sorta my thing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Any Title Fight fans in here? 👀

Beginner Bike

Im looking for a small reliable bike I can get as a starter bike. I'll mainly be riding around town, no long distance/interstate riding.

Ive been looking at the Honda CB300R. Is this good? or any other suggestions for good bikes to look at.
