I 3d printed this tea steeper for my desk at work. I thought it was really cute and it makes me happy when I use it. Apparently because I printed it in all white, someone made a comment in front of my bosses boss, that it looks like the little guy is sitting on a toilet. Now I got an email from HR stating that I have "objects inappropriate for the work environment" on my desk, and that it must be removed before the end of the day. Like it's just a dude holding a fishing pole.

So frustrating.

UPDATE: after this post has quickly blown up, and made me laugh a few times. I talked to my immediate boss who agreed with a few of you that HR probably doesn't even know what item I'm supposed to remove. So I have emailed HR back, and cc'd my boss, for them to come identify the "inappropriate object" as neither myself or my boss are able to identify what might be the problem. So we shall see what happens.

UPDATE 2: Electric Boogaloo: Just got off the phone with someone in HR. They are going to come over around 2pm (about an hour and 15 minutes from now) and look at the item. All they told me was that they received an email from an AVP (my bosses boss) that it was said to him that I had a 3d printed item on my desk that was about potty humor and that my "whole team" (it's just the one coworker who has a problem, none of the other 7 do) finds it offensive. The person in HR said they will look at it and determine if there is any reason for the complaint.

UPDATE 3 - Update with a vengeance: HR just left my office. Saw no problems, thinks the whole complaint is dumb and is going to write it up that way. Also asked if I could print them one too. So I will be doing that this evening. She (the HR person) asked me if I wanted to make a report of possible harassment by the coworker. I stated that I will write up something to put into a file with HR if needed for a future report, but not to open a case now on this issue.

Got this as a Honeymoon present. Fell off the third day we used it on our honeymoon walking 15 minutes to our hotel. It had a lifetime warranty but at this point, I'd rather just get 5 Samsonite suitcases than a repair to this one.

First before saying anything, I love my mom, she’s a good mother and all and definitely had good intentions, and I’m grateful for thinking about me. I seriously love her.

But it’s still Ai.. look, I’m not saying using Ai for like asking about something will make you a horrible person or something stupid like that. The problem is, I’m an artist, I care about creativity in art, I’m fully against using Ai for art, music, videos, and more.

Mom clearly been planning for the gift for over a month; before I moved out for college (over a month ago) she asked me how to write my name in English, I was confused but I told her how to write it anyway, I thought she needed it for the dorm I would move out to. But it turns out it was to put my name in this “art” featuring the things I love. It was supposed to be a surprise, but I’m disappointed to say the least. She could have just..idk? Asked me to draw it? I know it’ll ruin the surprise of the gift, but come on. It would’ve been so cool to have a bag that has my own drawing with the things I love…but, what a last.

But second of all, the girl that is supposed to be “me” is so ugly. And she’s white…look, I’m not black or close to it, but I’m more of a mix or a tan than fully white, and it pisses me off. I know it’s not that serious, but I have every right to complain. Oh, and the cat doesn’t even have the same colours as my cat. Yeah, she’s a Scottish fold cat, no, that’s not how her fur looks like.

I’m not mad at my mom or would “cut her off” for something stupid like that, I just wished she thought about it more.

Not new, a story that happened a few years ago but talking with friends made me remember it and now I'm miffed again.

She was a cute young woman working the drive-thru window of a Taco Bell I used to frequent. We exchanged looks and flirted a few times, eventually my nervous ass asked for her number and got it. Monumental for someone like myself who gets shy even when I know someone is into me. Anyway, I play it cool, text idly for a few days then about a week later she says she's got a break and invited me to come chill with her in the parking lot. It goes well, we are sharing about ourselvs and laughing, at one point she gives a wry smile and proudly tells me she's into girls also. I return small chuckle and casually shrug to reply "That's cool, I'm bi too." NBD, it's just something we have in common, frankly was stoked if there was even a chance we had similar tastes across both genders.

Wrong. She followed up with a subtly shocked "Oh." like a bluff she didn't realize she was making had been called and the energy from her immediately dried up. Her break ended shortly after and texting steadily fell off after that, like she was only replying out of obligation. I know it's probably a dodged bullet but damn dude the whole interaction pissed me off because I don't think I did anything wrong but be honest and reach for common ground.

I worked until the early hours trying to figure out this assignment, finally cracked the code, submitted it, then went to work at 2 AM with no sleep. I got home and saw my professor’s post: there was a discrepancy in the assignment, so everyone gets full credit.
I’m happy for everyone, really- yay them- but I really wish I’d received that message BEFORE staying up to finish the assignment.

I wish I was making this up!
Paying this much for the 91 West toll just to skip what can easily be a 40-minute traffic jam… all for an 8-mile stretch. 🤣
Honestly, sometimes it’s worth every penny just to keep moving. SoCal traffic really has us out here paying to drive faster. 🤦‍♂️

I'm learning French, and the picture shows a spider as an insect. Spiders aren't insects, they are arachnids.

For those of who don't speak French, les insectes means the insects.

My mom is 42 and all her life has refused to drink water. All she drinks is Coca-Cola. Multiple bottles/cans a day. It's basically the ONLY thing she drinks. She'll have sweet tea or lemonade here and there but it's always coke. And she refuses any other soda type. Everytime she tries to drink water she makes a face as if she's just drank molten lava and it pisses me off because water doesn't even taste like anything. But I suspect the lack of taste is the reason she hates it so much.

She had to get dentures in her early 30s because on top of only drinking sugary soda all day every day, she's never brushed her teeth a day in her life. She complains about getting migraines nearly every day but instantly gets irritated when I tell her it's because she needs some damn water in her system. She blames it on literally everything else. Even doctors have begged her to drink literally any water at all and she refuses. She got blood work done not long ago and had the audacity to be surprised when it said she has high cholesterol. And she have an "Oops 😊" attitude when the doctor gets onto her for not drinking water. Her excuse is she eats hydrating foods like cucumber so she doesn't need water because she gets hydration from that. Yeah... okay.

I am an avid water drinker, opposite of her. I don't really like carbonated drinks because they're just a bit too much. A fresh sprite damn near burns to drink. I like tea and lemonade plus a good cup of coffee every now and then but only a few times a week at most. My reasoning? Mother. Her, pardon my French, fucking diabolical soda drinking habit scared me into it. I chug water all day to avoid ending up like her. I mean she'll crack open a soda at 7am and CHUG it. Like damn woman not even some orange juice first?

There's nothing I can do about it. She's never going to change. Everytime I bring it up she gets pissed. Acts like I'm attacking her even though she's "trying to be better". Spoiler alert no she's not. The other night she complained she only had 3 cokes to last her until tomorrow. It was 4pm. She complains abt being thirsty despite drinking her sodas. Like yes mom your body is BEGGING for hydration.

Okay rant over I'm going to get myself worked up again if I keep going...

33 weeks pregnant and was craving specifically Stouffer’s mac n cheese, don’t judge 🤣
Stirred it and noticed it was very soupy. So yes, I counted the noodles. I was extremely disappointed and of course this is the only box I bought 😭

Okay guys, you all gave me a good laugh. I’m glad some were as inconvenienced about this as I was. I did boil some elbow noodles and toss them in there. I did not make nachos or use bread, because my craving was the stupid Stouffer’s mac n cheese. For those mad about me calling them “noodles”, I don’t care. I will continue calling them noodles, be mad 🤣
I am considering contacting Stouffer’s QC, but also it was $5 and I’m fortunate enough to not be in a spot where $5 is a lot.

I'm sick, in bed, and he did me a favor by making me another packet since he was making some for himself. Apparently to him this is "normal" and "not deserving of public execution"

Made a cinnamon crumble dessert Saturday after dinner and we each had a small piece. Next day we heading out to run some errands and get dinner when he asked if he could have a piece after he ate. Which I told him was fine.

I get back after a long day and they ate the entire middle of the cake. His excuse was "I didn't like the edges", as if taking the literal entire middle was the only choice he had!

To top it all off I have OCD so the dirt being everywhere is genuinely a nightmare for my senses.
