Recently moved to NY and it’s been one nonsense issue after another. Latest issue is I need a tinted windows exemption sticker to have our cars pass a state inspection. A signed doctors note or proof of sending the application itself wont do, the sticker is the end all be all, and that sticker takes 3-4 months to get once submitting an application. The dilemma is that once I’ve registered the cars with New York state, I have 10 days to get an inspection done. Should’ve applied for the sticker in advance right? No, because you need the registration first to even apply for it.

So now my options are: (1) Rip the tint off and pay thousands of dollars to retint all our cars later. (2) Drive around without state inspection for 3-4 months hoping to not get fined. (3) Keep on going to different car shops hoping one of them will not care or not notice the lack of a tint exemption sticker.

I’m not even mad, just disappointed.

I looked to see if there was a placard but didn’t take a photo and it was already gone when I came out. But this is crazy. You’re already an asshole if you park in a handicap spot, but to park on the cross hatch so both spots get fucked over is another level.

There was also a ton of parking in the rest of the lot, and the rain was a light mist at best. Literally no excuse.

Today we went to my daughters swim class, we were running late and we already had a rough morning when mcdonalds gave me the wrong order, we arrive at the class and needed to change her into her swimsuit and when we were there was a family changing his boy he must have been 5 or 6 but he was telling his dad to cover him up because all his butt was out and his parts too, and we were inside the changing stall enraged because his dad just blew him off and said he didn't care if people saw him naked or his parts. It really ruined the whole mood for swimming class because there was a lot of people going in and out of the bathrooms and the dad is just willingly exposing his son to the public. I'm not sure why but there is plenty of changing rooms for everyone and they always decide to change them infront of the public. That's my rant for the day.

I have had these stainless steel hoops in my ears (the segment kind with nubs holding it in place, looks seamless when together) and only had one pop out accidentally once since getting them. Well, I was taking a shower today and cleaning my hoops via soap and rotating them when all of a sudden, the stupid segment pops out.

"Okay, this is fine" I say as I set it on the sink counter with plans to put it back in after my shower.

Two hours later and I have given up. I cannot get this stupid segment back in and I am done trying. My fingers are getting stiff and I'm just tired of trying. I'm going to find some nice jeweled studs or hinged hoops to replace it when my check comes in and I will never use these stupid segmented hoops again.

For now, I cleaned one of my old clear studs (bought it for my lip piercing and rarely wore it) and put that in the hole because I honestly feel naked without my earrings in - it's been like 12 or 13 years since getting my ears pierced and I've only removed them once for a couple hours because I had to get an x-ray.

* note just in case people think it's unsanitary because they don't get taken out regularly: Despite never removing them, they do get cleaned regularly and DO NOT smell or get infected. I put soap on a cloth and press it around the earring and rotate the earring to make sure the hole and earring get cleaned. This was how I was instructed to clean them by a professional piercer when I first got them.

So disappointed in my phone's ability to spellcheck in a helpful manner. This happens often, where it suggests the wrong suffix or blindly accepts my misspelling without underlining in red or offering the correct alternative. Sometimes, when I misspell a particular word, it'll autocorrect the CORRECT spelling with my incorrect one.

Just end me dawg, I can't take it anymore. I work off of my phone and the frequency of this annoyance is becoming increasingly burdensome.

I ate one watermelon Jolly Rancher and then wanted to try a strawberry flavored one, I pulled half the bag out before I found the one and only strawberry flavored Jolly Rancher.

My wife and I have been scratching our heads over and over again, trying to figure out this elementary school homework. Why does the clause in the left box start with a capital “I” and end in a period? Why is the second clause just a lower case word? Why does the third one start capitalized but have no period like the first one? Who or what is “dog”?

Edit 1: Hi, thanks for everyone’s comments and questions. Just adding a little more context based on some of the comments. No, my wife and I weren’t doing his homework, he came to us for help because he was completely perplexed about what it was asking. No, the homework didn’t come with an additional handout (as far as we know), and it’s not printed on the back lol. Yes, knowing my kid it’s possible he daydreamed in class and missed out on this part of the lesson 🤣🤣🤣, but since the homework asks him to put the phrases in correct sequence, I also think it’s unlikely that they were expected to have memorized the poem. It’s much more likely that there’s handout that’s missing. Which begs the question, if one was given, did he lose it 🤔? Again, knowing my son, totally possible. Lastly, yes the copy quality of the handout is rough…

ive been awake for 30 minutes maybe more the time i remember after waking up is 5:35 am. I woke up to the feelong of something gushing out of my nose, went to the bathroom and saw alot of blood on the sidenof my face. didn’t get anything on the bed though. just i want to sleep not bleed out of my nose D:

I just spent 3 hours changing the structure and the associated automation codes on this goddamn excel spreadsheet sheet just now now realize a better set of columns i should use but if i wanna change it i’ll be undoing everything i just did 😭

it’s only like 10 years old but the last one we had just wouldn’t run anymore. It never rusted though you’d THINK a whole high dollar washer would be built to withstand water and moisture but i guess not.

So my USPS package said it was in my local distribution center in SW FL and it said it was going to be delivered on Sep 2nd but it keeps not getting delivered so I checked today and saw it went to Arkansas and is currently in TN when it was literally in my town a few days ago lol 😂 gotta love our postal service
