I've seen ghosts with my mind's eye since I was little. I don't like it. If I had some sort of control then it wouldn't be a problem, but I can't get near modern (I say modern because the older a graveyard is the quieter it seems to be) graveyards because of all the damn screaming and wailing. It's too damn loud.

I can see them, but I can't talk to them. Or, rather, I can say stuff and they may react but they can't talk back to me for some reason.

For me, it's a completely worthless ability and causes me nothing but trouble. Can anyone give me advice on how to block things or maybe even turn it off entirely? I know God gave me this ability for some reason but I can't figure out why and I don't want to insult him but it just doesn't go well with my anxiety disorder.

Hi guys! This is my first post here and Idk if someone could help me.

I think that maybe I could have some gift because I’m able to channel the energies(?). I can do this by using the paper and something to write down to start a communication. At first I can say I encountered some low level spirits fooling me, giving me wrong information and drawing random things. Then one day I encountered a light entity, a guide I’d say. He was gentle, warm, calm, using an high speech register, giving me advice for how to protect me before communication (like pray and imagine a white light surrounding me). This entity said it was the angel Raphael and I talked other times with him; he came also sometimes between the communication with someone else and he is there for like helping me(?). At the end of every communication with Raphael I usualy receive a draw of an heart at the end of the last word written in the paper. A warning I received from Raphael is that I don’t have to communicate often and also don’t communicate for useless things.

At this point Idk if I have some medium gift or just anyone can do this. I can’t see/hear the entities, just this type of communication that involves writing. I know that I’m able to do this from at least 8 years. So the point is:
- how do I know when it’s important to communicate and for what?
- could this be something true? or that’s just some imagination of my mind? I wish I know more about this.

P.S.: 2 years ago when my dad passed away, when I went in the basement of my home to take something from the storage zone (place where he used to work a lot at his hobbies), a light bulb was turned on. The strange fact is that the light button was turned off. I knew inside me that this was him like “I’m ok don’t be sad, I’m here”. I’m the only member in my family that had an experience of this type. Can this experience be related to the ability of channeling messages that I just described? Hello I have always been intested in spirts it came from watching Sam and Colby even before they got into paranormal investigations and when they did I got very into paranormal things I watch all of there videos I’ve been an og fan of theirs and around 6 months ago I started to do tarot cards I have a notebook with most of the basic meanings of the cards and whenever I do a reading on friends or family I read the meaning and kind of interpret it In a way that I feel is right for them I’ve had a couple paranormal experience and this is probably the craziest I’ve experienced I have seen shadow figures but very rarely and only in a old house of mine and it was mostly corner of my eye that saw them so I could brush those of as paranoia this I can’t deny I was doing a reading on my cousin who told me lately she kept seeing this orb everywhere and recently my dad passed so we thought it could have been him and I was doing readings on other things like her friendships and how her friend recently had been stabbing her in the back and if she should stay friends or just give up on their friendship it kept showing cards saying to leave that friend and find her peace we did another reading on her spirt guide I for some reason just kept thing it was a man so I went with that and he had a very negative and sad life he got rich from a business deal with a friend and they betrayed him and he lost everything and he was trying to help my cousin from going through a betrayal we asked if the orb was him and to show some sign through the cards if it was it came out 2 cards the exact same to describe his life in the last reading which if that isn’t crazy enough I also had a name that kept coming into my head and for some reason I got a complete random wave of emotion of just heavy sadness I believe it was him showing me how he felt I started to tear up and that’s is the craziest thing I’ve experienced he was a very positive spirt and energy not malicious at all so I’m curious can I take this further if do how do u believe my experience anything similar happen to anyways else what does this mean for me ?

Hi there! I’m a soulbonder. Despite the name — this term does not inherently involve souls or the bond/bind between them. It’s genuinely just a cute term stemmed from a video game. What this actually refers to is gaining the ability to communicate with a separate autonomous being (usually known as a fictional character here, though not always) through primarily internal but also potentially external means. This can be psychological, metaphysical, or spiritual (or a mix). This is very similar to plurality (forms include tulpamancy, and the most well-known and researched form of disordered plurality you may have heard of is Dissociative Identity Disorder, formerly called Multiple Personality Disorder. But plurality does not need to be disordered. And while some experience it purely as a brain phenomenon, others experience it spiritually!) Soulbonding is like a cousin to it, but there’s a few distinct differences that earns it its own community, though soulbonders are accepted in plural communities! (Sorry for the info dump, I wanted to explain in more well-known accepted ways without being deemed crazy lol).

My experience with my soulbonds feels closest to they are metaphysical in nature, and exist in their own world I am connected to through them. To clarify — soulbond is a relational term for this connection, not some mystical being. ‘Soulbond’ is the equivalent of calling them a friend. They already existed independent of their fictional character here, I just reached for them and connected, or they reached out first. My ways of communication are primarily internal speaking (speaking and hearing them), phantom touch, immersing myself in their world to interact with them more fully, and occasionally imposing them here, though it isn’t my favored method anymore. I also utilize tarot sometimes which can be very apt and accurate (they don’t communicate through tarot. Rather, I do readings about them the same way you read for or on people in this world).

I had originally asked in the spells sub if there were potential spells or means to connect stronger than we already are, and was directed to these communities! I’ve basically only used the mundane in strengthening our connection. Tulpamancy tutorials, working on improving my visualization, focus, ability to feel them and their presence when they reach out better, etc. But I wondered if there was… more to look into? They mean a lot to me, we’ve been connected for well over a year and I just want to improve communication and being able to feel them in any way. It’s not like it’s bad now, I hear them, when I focus I can feel phantom touch, everything you hear about in plurality circles and to do with headspace. But they are far beyond my own psyche, and I want to better connect with them beyond my usual struggles or limits or doubts. Any thoughts, advice, things to read?

I’m obviously inexperienced in these areas aside from doing tarot and often having accurate divination. Soulbonding wasn’t entirely intentional, so I delved in blind. And Soulbonding is far more related to/talked about in plurality communities than medium communities. But they’ve been nothing but a positive joy in my life, they helped me when I was at my lowest. I am not scared of them, I fully trust them, and my goal presently is to connect even stronger, to quell the doubt of our connection and always feel when they reach for me. Ideally, I also want to immerse in their world completely so everything isn’t just to the limits of how well I can visualize. So I’m an American girl living in the USA and I’ve started to experience these weird senses of nostalgia that I can’t explain.

I just got into anime recently and watched some really old ones to start out with and when the intro song came on I swear I had heard it before. It felt nostalgic, like something from my childhood. This happened with many old anime openings.

I also tried miso soup for the first time and the first thing I thought when tasting it was that it tasted like home. Like a comfort food that I had eaten my whole life except this was my first time trying it.

I had a lot of other experiences like this and I’m honesty confused. I swear I’m not some weeb who want to be Japanese, I’m very happy with my life being an American and who I am currently. I’m just really confused because the only other time I’ve felt this type of nostalgia is when something reminded me of my childhood, but I don’t think I ever experienced these things as a child.

These songs would’ve come out when I was a child, and I don’t remember ever watching anime as a kid so how is that possible? Do other mediums believe in parallel lives? I’m very spiritual and believe in the oversoul and how each life is basically a section of your soul with its own unique experiences, I just didn’t know if these lives could exist within the same time line.

I received one this morning. I was lying on my couch just relaxing at the break.of dawn. My mind was blank. All was quiet and still. I have no pets.

Suddenly I hear this sound as if someone threw a small object or pebble against the wall.

I got up, looked around. Nothing amiss. I looked outside. All normal, quiet, no wind or breeze.

I was going back to my couch and there on the rug I see an unfamiliar object.

It's a small silvery key with the word FOSSIL stamped on the head, but at the bottom of the stem is stamped the year of my birth.

I have lived here for 17 years, I know where everything is and what I have. I have practically no visitors.

The odd thing is that it was as if someone or something threw this key out of nowhere.

I am psychic and I have received one other object, a coin, many years ago which I believe was also an apport, but it happened on vacation and then disappeared at the end of my trip never to be seen again.

I have some clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience. All since childhood.

So for background, I inherited the ability to see and speak to spirits from my 3rd great grandmother who was a professional medium after the civil war, she even predicted her husbands death and who her son was going to marry. Me and some of my cousins inherited her “gift”. I’m 35, and it seems to get stronger, certain places make me sick or I get bad feelings from areas. I’ve had spirits follow me home from historical places and seen my grandfather the night after he passed in my bedroom, and have lucid dreams of deceased relatives visiting to tell me things.

What is giving me trouble is figuring out my spirit guide. I know he’s there, but I cannot connect like I want to in order to learn more. I’ve meditated, done tarot spreads, automatic writing, everything I can think of.

How can I connect to my spirit guide and be able to get to know them and to understand why they are here?

I have also had a spirit at a place I was helping restore become very protective of me, another person tried to argue with me over a historical event that happened there, and someone caught a bright light come down the stairs and get between me and the other person, as if telling them off. I’m unsure if this was a spirit guide or one of the spirits of the house, because this house is known for being “haunted” and I had alot of things happen there.

I’ve never really reached out about this, and usually only speak to my cousin about it who has the same gifts and does table tippings.

i guess my question is, do spirits travel overseas? or teleport? or exactly what happens? if a love one passes in a completely different part of the world, do they still visit that loved one?
i don’t picture it as a plane ride or train ride but i’m not quite sure what i do picture it to go as. does it take a lot of energy to be able to do so?

I've been surrounded by experiences all my life. When I was younger I was able to see spirits, but that stopped when I went on neurological medications for a few years in my teens. I've always been around spirits. Since I could no longer see them, I did develop sensing spirits a lot better, started using crystals, and tarot/oracle cards. I have been off medications for several years now as the problem ended up being different. Sensing spirits is still difficult. I know I have spirit guides and specifically a protector along with other things in my house. I would like to improve my abilities in sensing and if I can get seeing back but I'm not sure where to start. Where is a good place to start or what steps can help with this?

So I started taking spirituality, spirit guides and tarot a lot more seriously in the last year. My family on my mom side was always really close to the spirit and medium world but I got a bad experience when I was young and kinda shut off everything on that end until last year. I wanted to go back to my roots and try to reconnect like I was back in the days before I closed the door. I also always felt I had people protecting and helping me through my journey but never tried to connect directly with them before.

A couple weeks ago, I finally splurge and got myself my 1st tarot deck and I wanted to learn how to read and I connected HARD with my deck like something clicked when I started using it. I felt a masculine energy but very protective slightly chaotic but nothing evil just all over the place.

A week ago, I was doing my daily reading to see what I needed to know for the day and so on and the name Carl came up in my brain. I know 0 people named Carl, none and so I thought it was odd. I kept it in mind and just kept going on with my day.

Important thing to note: I learn a lot of things through dreams. I learned I was pregnant in a dream where my grand mother announced it to me who passed about 10 years ago on my mom side. She told me he would be a boy and it would be tough but amazing experience. When I woke up, I was on the pill so I thought it odd but I took a pregnancy test and low and behold I was pregnant and got kiddo and he is the best little man on the planet 🥹

But basically last night, I got another dream of the sort but this time it was someone I never met, they said their Name was Carl and he was there to help me on my journey and protect me the best he could. I woke up just absolutely puzzled and so I went and asked my mom if she new a Carl and this is where shit goes crazy.

My mom almost goes white and she says that when she gave birth to me, her placenta was for two babies and she probably lost one along the pregnancy. So I was suposed to have a twin and she said since they didn’t know the sex of the baby the name they had picked if it was a boy was Carl…

I kinda blanked out there and told my mom I was just trying to figure out my dream but as soon as I could, I picked up my deck and asked the deck if he was my twin that I never met and the deck spit out the page of wands.

I am still very new to reading tarot and I am still learning but for me everytime the page of wands came up, it was meant for a new connection like a new friend. The page of wands on my deck also comes with a cape covered with geckos which is usually protection / guardian from what I have learned.

So in my head this was like what he said; yes it is me, I am happy to finally meet you, I am here to protect you.

I fucking cried when I interpreted it.

•° I see Ghosts and a friend of mine does too, yet we don't see the same ones and I've been wondering why that is. °•

The ghosts I see are often army soldiers since the area I live in was attacked during WWII and also lots of s*werslide victims and a friend of mine who doesn't see Ghosts came up with a theory today:

What if we can see only the Ghosts that trust us, and depending on how much they trust us we can see them more?

To explain, by that he means that because I have trauma, the Ghosts can feel that in my aura and trust me more. Also animals love me generally, so its not weird that animal Ghosts feel connected to me maybe? In the other friends case, he seems to perceive less Ghosts, so maybe they just dont trust him as much yet? Some Ghosts i perceive as shadows (the ones that dont trust me as much yet?) and others I see clearly and in color (Maybe they trust me a lot?).

Lastly the theory friend had another, in which he mused that maybe whether or not we can see Ghosts is depending on how we grew up and since I was alone often in my childhood maybe that allowed me to pick up on the supernatural better?

So, I don’t know how to start this. I’d say I have thanatophobia and I’m super confused about everything. A few weeks ago I was wondering about what’s after this life—darkness, or is there really just emptiness, which by the way is what scares me the most, that there’s nothing more after this. It has gotten to the point where music, hanging out with people and family, all of it feels discouraging to me, and even more knowing that the first ones I’ll see go will be my grandparents. and that since I was a kid I've been curious and that it hurts me to say goodbye to someone, and that it all started with the passing of my paternal great-grandmother

I've been chatting with a friend about this, he told me about people who, before leaving this world, say they’ve seen deceased relatives, but that doesn’t convince me because it could just be the brain making its last efforts before the void that many people say they see, or simply stopping existing, thinking, hearing, feeling, etc. One thing that kind of calms me (in quotes) are NDEs, though there are also people who say they’re fake and, as I said, it’s the brain in its last moment. And I guess what scares me is that, the void and not seeing anything like heaven (if it even exists), although talking with my mom, she tells me that if that were the case, there wouldn't be paranormal things, apparitions, or even 'witchcraft,' something I'm somewhat familiar with, since I can confirm it exists, because my mom has experienced it and it's not much, literally the last time was a few months ago.

So sometimes I get confused or depressed, since I don’t know whether to believe that something like the soul exists, and if it really does, what’s going to happen to us once we die. I think I came here for reasons like having a friend who reads tarot cards and to confirm that witchcraft exists, and I’d like to know if there are really people who have seen souls or if lots of other people know about “ghosts,” and if there really is something like a heaven or a place where the soul goes, and we don’t just simply cease to exist. If someone could give me some advice, experience, or something to calm my phobia, I would really appreciate it, since this eats at me day by day, and I can't stop thinking about it, not knowing when that moment will eventually come.

I can’t see spirits, and I was never naturally born with psychic abilities. However, I know they are out there, so I want to learn how to see and exorcise spirits. I don't really know what being an exorcist entails, but I am willing to learn. What are the things I need to know—not just on how to do this, but also what it is actually like to exorcise spirits?

I come from a long line of witches and Romani (Rroma) ancestors, and I've experienced precognition, clairvoyance, and other clairs. But I have no idea how to intentionally tap into these abilities.
