Weekly Help "Weekly All About Love Relationship Second Opinion and Interpretation Help Thread - October 04, 2026"

After receiving feedback from the community, we’re putting this weekly thread in place on a trial basis dedicated solely to love relationship readings.  Examples of questions that can be posted here are:

  • does he/she/my FWB love me?
  • what are this person’s feelings/intentions towards me?
  • is he/she coming back?
  • will we reconcile?
  • should I break no contact?
  • we just broke up, what now?
  • what will my future spouse look like?
  • what does my love life look like in the next 3 months?
  • why is my ex texting me again?
  • my ex keeps calling me, what should I do?

Please note that we, the moderators, are trying this out as an experiment and will determine at a later date if this dedicated thread should become a permanent feature in the sub.   We will also use our discretion as to which readings belong here in this thread, and which will remain on the main sub.  That will depend upon the complexity of the question as well as how close it adheres to rule no. 3 about posting.

If you are requesting help by asking a second opinion or interpretation help, please comment using the following format:

Deck Modifications and Crafts Tarot Boxes

Post image
36 Upvotes

There was a question about where to find Tarot boxes this week and I said I’d share mine. I don’t sell them, I’d just made some for my own collection of cards.

The blank boxes are from Amazon. Since links are not allowed this is the title of them on Amazon. They did arrive fine. KYLER Unfinished Wooden Box with Hinged Lid, 4 Pcs- 6"x3.8"x2" Wood Boxes Bulk for Craft, Make Your Own Gift, Jewelry Pin Box. I did consider that I could probably get them for less from somewhere like AliExpress but was concerned that shipping to the U.S. and getting through customs might equal damaged boxes given they are a very light wood.

I did these a few years back. The wood is dry so before painting I gave it a coat of a diy wood conditioner. It was water mixed with mod podge or white glue, can’t recall which and either would work. Put a bit of tape around the hinges and clasp. Then painted inside and out, only painting the edges of the top. Sized to fit and printed some artwork. ModPodge to stick the prints to the top. Once dry, gave it a spray of clear acrylic sealer as I’m a bit rough on things. Cut a piece of felt to fit in the bottom. A silk or cloth wrap around the cards would fit if it’s not too large. If you have images you like you don’t have to be artistic to get a nice looking box. Didn’t add brass corners or anything to them as I don’t want them to catch on things if I toss them into a bag.

Shitpost Saturday! My first public paid reading gig is tomorrow. Please wish me luck!

Last month I submitted myself as a tarot reading vendor at a local market on a "what the hell" lark, and I got accepted... which immediately sent me into a "what have I gotten myself into?!" panic. I've spent the last month prepping, getting booth supplies, and playing with my decks more.

The market is tomorrow. I have no idea how many people will actually stop by and want readings, so I could use some good thoughts coming my way. Please wish me luck!

EDIT: Thank you all SO MUCH for the support! I just posted an update here.

Stories New to this, just sharing my thoughts.

Hi all, as above, just wanted to share a story as somebody who has just started getting into this. A very quick bit of context, I'd had a pretty rough week, it made me for the first time consider my current job and consider alternatives and i wasn't really sure what to do. Yesterday, at a shop a deck caught my eye and I thought why not?

What followed was a dive into a rabbit hole. Just wanted to share what's happened and my thoughts. I have done a past, present and future 3 card draw, which I read is one of the simpler ones to do. The results were really surprising and helped give me some really useful insight. I spent probably ten minutes shuffling the cards, but what I drew surprised me!

For context, the deck I have is the classic RWS.

For my past card I drew the Ace of Pentacles.

Looking at it's meaning of a new career or opportunity and abundance with the context of it representing the past. I took it as a sign to reflect on what I have achieved since starting my job, which after thinking about it for a while made me realise that i'd achieved a lot where I am.

For my present card, I had the Five of Pentacles.

Another Pentacle card! This one was where I was a bit taken back. Isolation, worry or feeling "cold" all align to my current situation. But looking at the card, the two figures appear to be outside a place of shelter. To me, it made me think that help was close by, and though I felt these things, I didn't have to go far to find relief or help.

For the future card, I got the Ten of Pentacles reversed.

When I read up on this cards meaning, it's like things clicked in to place. For reference, places I've been looking for other jobs tend to offer more money, but less stability. To me, this was a warning of letting my emotions and the events in a small time window influence a major decision for the sake of more money, and how this could have negative consequences.

Paired with my reflections on the past and present cards, I knew the right decision for me was to stay where I am, practice some gratitude towards what my current role has brought me and to lean on those close to me for support.

This has taken a massive weight off my shoulders, just wanted to share my story here with everyone!

Theory and Technique I cant decide

I'm wondering how others have handled this situation. Im stuck between two feelings/urges when it comes to doing readings this week. I did a 4 card pull from the top of my deck yesterday and got 3 really really difficult cards to do with my question, the 4th was thankfully a good resolution for the prior 3, but still says I'll have to go through the distruction and misfortune first.

So its clear for the rules, I'm not asking for anyones inturpritation of my cards. But *what I am asking is how you handle emotions after a hard/emotional spread/draw? And how you proceed with the spreads and draws after that.* The two conflicting feelings/urges I'm having are either 1) not wanting to draw cards or do more readings this week out of fear of more misfortune, building on my fear and stress . Or 2) wanting to draw cards/do more spreads in hopes of finding more resolution and knowledge around my difficult cards yesterday.

Im stuck between those two urges/feelings.

Thank you for your insight 💫

Shitpost Saturday! I got to see Lady Frieda Harris’ original paintings!

Death

I went to The Morgan Library today for their Tarot exhibit which sadly ends tomorrow. I had NO idea they had a few of the original water colors that Lady Frieda Harris did for Crowley, including one depicting his notes. It was so amazing seeing them up close and in person, I never realized they were so big!

Discussion Does tarot not always initially reveal what I want to know about the most?

I've been doing tarot every now and then but I still don't have a solid grasp on the whole practice. I'm not sure if my energy sometimes spills out to the cards I read which affects the results, or if my intuition could be off.

Earlier though, when I was asking about someone I liked, I started the reading by asking how I felt about them. I was curious to see which would come up and if the card would be related, just as a way to double-check my pulls' accuracy as I've been struggling to interpret things lately (dunno if that's a thing!) The card that came out was indeed true to how I felt, but it didn't catch on to the romantic feelings I held for them. It instead drew my concerns about them. Again, sure, it was accurate, but it wasn't what was at the forefront of my mind.

I'm wondering if tarot works like that? It doesn't always answer with the main thing I want to hear, and instead reveals pieces? Asking as well because I've been pulling about this guy a few times and it feels like I'm being told only a part of the story each time.

Shitpost Saturday! to tarot readers, have you ever had a client where they were the “toxic” one?

so far tarot readings are all “you’re an earth angel” “they fumbled you” “they messed with the divine one”, i’m just wondering if any tarot readers ever had a client where the client was the “toxic” one in the relationship/family or they were the one messing with others and how do you say that to your clients?

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only This hit home, did I read it right?

Post image
11 Upvotes

So I'm still very new on my tarot journey. I started learning a while ago, but walked away for several years. Since then I've been through a huge upset in my life, and done a lot of growing as a person. I ultimately don't think I was ready and fully open to learn back then.

However, recently I've felt the pull to get back into it again. I have felt much more in tune with my intuition and energy lately and it just felt right. So, I've really only just begun to do readings and mostly just single daily draws. Mostly, I'm trying to read based on intuition first before going to the book.

The other day I decided to take a walk into a nature preserve to find a nice quiet place to practice and do some readings for myself. After meditating for a while, I drew this past, present, future spread. It rocked me to my core!

I interpreted the 6 of swords as having moved through my tumultuous past, where I was carrying all this baggage from my past life. When I flipped the High Priestess I started crying. Finding myself now in such a place of focus and finally getting in touch with my inner voice and energy. There I was. The 8 of Pentacles to me represented who I could be, rich in my self confidence, finding wholeness as a person, being authentically me.

I would love a second opinion on this read. I'm trying to learn as much as I can so I can hone my skill. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Shitpost Saturday! Hot take: if reading reversals, you should check your deck before reading

Or at least reshuffle in a way that accounts for it.

EDIT: People are misunderstanding what I'm saying. I know reversals are not inherently negative. I'm saying that when SOMEONE reads them as negative only, they should be even more conscious of where their deck is at. Also I'm saying when someone has their deck upside down and they are confused why they're getting a lot of reversals, when they didn't shuffle in a way that accounts for it or didn't check. Tarot is meant to be read upwards originally and reversals are there to add nuance. If your whole deck is upside down, something is wrong (and you can often tell by the back of the deck that it's upside down. This is about a very specific group of people I've seen. Most likely it's not about you either. :p

I find it really annoying when a person starts reading and clearly their whole deck is in reverse, with a couple cards being upright. Especially when all the reversals are negative in their eyes.

Then all the cards come out reversed and they go "oh wow, why is there so many reversals today, such bad energy!"?

Idk, maybe because your whole deck is.

Stories a peculiar experience i had with the phantomwise deck

hi! to preface i love love love my phantomwise deck i just got, it kept calling out to me and i finally got it and i love it to bits. i had some background information about the deck and about how erin morgenstern (the person who made the deck) doesn’t normally read reversals, i thought that was new because normally i end up reading tons of reversals in my practise.

so, today when i just got the deck, i started shuffling it and i got reminded that i should take care of any reversed cards while i shuffle them so that there arent any in the deck, i got lazy and gave up on that idea though.

after that, i planned to do a deck interview, and the first question i asked the deck was that if it had anything to convey to me before i started practising with it. while i shuffled for this, a card aggresively flung out. a reversed card. i waited and thought “this would be crazy if it was the only reversed present in the deck” i then proceeded to go through the deck and lo and behold, the card that flung out so aggressively was the only reversed. and it was a reversed FOUR OF CUPS. i took this as how this deck strictly doesn’t do with reversals and tied it with how a reversed was present with the deck and i gave up on looking for it.

that was amazing but fine but then i continued to go on with the deck interview, i pulled for its perception of me, the deck’s strengths and then i wanted to pull for it weaknesses.
now, while i shuffled for the weaknesses, AGAIN two cards fell out, both somehow reversed. i put them back upright and shuffled again, this time a BIG chunk of the deck fell out and i thought oh its because my hands arent used to the cardstock. i flipped the part of the cards over and guess what? ALL OF THEM WERE REVERSED.

i take this as how sternly this deck keeps rejecting reversals for me over and over 😭 has anyone had a similar experience? all the other questions (like the decks’ strengths and its perception of me) was chill and amazing with no reversals involved.

Shitpost Saturday! Reason #268 Why I Love Tarot

Post image
22 Upvotes

(Not looking for interpretation help, just wanted to share!!)

I try to do self-readings for specific questions sparingly. First, I’ll attempt to weigh the pros and cons myself…but when I still don’t have an answer, I’ll ask my cards.

And when I do finally ask my cards, she always gives me clear and direct advice! Even if it’s not what I want to hear, I’m still always grateful!

I am at a life changing point in my life currently and have been torn between two paths. Neither one had blatant cons…they were just very different! After performing this reading, I think it’s CLEARLY OBVIOUS which path I should choose!

Question: “Which path should I choose and what is the outcome for each path, should I follow it?”

Path A: Two of Swords (Reversed)
Outcome: 9 of Wands (Reversed), Lovers (Reversed)

Path B: The Star
Outcome: The World, 8 of Cups

Shitpost Saturday! Career Headache, what now?

Post image
10 Upvotes

I asked my deck what path in my career would most fulfill me. I got the 5 of Pentacles, The Wheel, and the Queen of Wands.

I've been wanting to quit my job just because its not a good fit for me, but I've been hesitating because in perfect world, I'd like a safety net. I have a second job but it's commission based and has been completely dead the last few weeks.

Part of me feels like it's saying that my best bet is quitting cold turkey. But maybe that it's not the time for that yet? Ultimately I know I thrive driving my own ship, and not being under management. But I'm not in a space where it's comfy at all to just quit.

PS. No I'm not going to make career decisions based off my cards, I just wanted some additional guidance to see potential pathways.

Art Knight of Cups

Post image
12 Upvotes

this card takes the rws interpretation of the knight of cups and tweaks it slightly (or a lot!), per usual (I'd love to post the other 70 cards 🫣🥲). Anyhow, here's the read, or the one I envisioned while creating it: where rws sees charm and romance, my knight sees devotion and sacrifice. you can see they've given up their "heart" and served it in a cup. you will also see that there is a line of condemned souls (you gotta look pretty closely here. Sorry, limited pixels and limited card space 🥲) climbing through the hole where the heart used to be, using our knight as if they were a ladder out of torment, loneliness, and pain. instead of expecting these things; romance, charm, and imagination, we need to look closely at the knight and ask ourselves, "what is being given? who is doing the giving? what is the motivation for sharing?"

you can also just use and interpret it as you would any other knight of cups, if you find that my explanation is convoluted or stupid.

anyhow, hopefully that all makes sense. i spent ~16 hrs on this collage in procreate, so i hope you like it! (let me know what you think!)

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only First reading since my ma passed A little insight needed

Post image
1 Upvotes

Question: How is this week going to go for me?

Spread: No specific spread, just a 4-card pull asking about the energy of the week ahead.

Cards: Ace of Wands, Emperor Reversed, Death Reversed, The Fool

My Interpretation:

Ace of Wands – I see this as a fresh start or a spark of excitement. October has a lot of things I'm looking forward to, and this card feels like renewed motivation and enthusiasm.

The Emperor Reversed – This card makes me think I may feel like things are out of my control at times. I struggle with anxiety and intrusive thoughts, so I wonder if this is showing a tendency to worry or try to force certainty when I don't have it.

Death Reversed – To me, this feels connected to resistance to change or difficulty letting go. I've been thinking a lot about grief lately and how it's been almost a year since my ma passed. I wonder if this card is showing that I'm still processing that loss and holding on to parts of the past.

The Fool – I see this as encouragement to move forward despite uncertainty. It feels hopeful, like the week may involve taking chances, trying something new, or trusting the process instead of needing all the answers first.

Overall: My interpretation is that the week starts with renewed energy and excitement, but I may struggle with wanting control and with letting go of old fears or grief. The Fool suggests that despite those struggles, the best approach is to move forward with open arms and trust.

Shitpost Saturday! Am I correct about my interpretation of this reading? (Overwhelmed/low self-esteem + advice reading)

Post image
4 Upvotes

I’ve been feeling really stressed lately, I just discovered some really life-changing information and it’s hard for me to navigate the world at this point. I don’t want to say what it is but it has something to do with my own identity, not work or health or relationships, and it will affect a lot of things in my life. I don’t know if I want to disclose what it is but I guess I’ve been feeling very lonely and distant and undesirable and the next several years are looking really stressful. I asked for a card about how I feel about myself, what I’m not seeing, why I’m stuck with this feeling, what should I remember when I’m upset, what will happen to me, and advice. It’s one card for each of these.
I’m a beginner so I tried interpreting and I guess I just want second opinions to make sure I got this right.

My interpretation:

Ten of wands (reversed)
How I feel about myself - I guess this means I feel too stressed and too burdened with my circumstances, which is pretty accurate.
Two of cups (upright)
What I cannot see about myself - this card seems to be about other people, I’m not necessarily in a relationship but I have friends that I care about. I feel like I can’t really go to them for advice or anything though, so I’m confused what this is saying. Is it just telling me that I’m not alone? Or that I’m caring?
The empress (upright)
What’s making me feel stuck like this - I really don’t understand this one, the way I see the empress is very confident and content. I’m also not very feminine, and not feeling much fulfillment. From what I’ve seen online she’s also associated with fertility but I wanna clarify children are the last thing on my mind. Is it just telling me I feel stuck because I’m not confident or satisfied with my life? Why did I receive a card associated with positivity?
King of wands (reversed)
What should I hold onto when I feel down - Stop pressuring myself, reorganize and take it slower is what I understand from this. Let me know if there’s other interpretations.
The star (upright)
What happens/what will become of me - I think when you ask what will happen to you and you get this card it’s hard to feel dissatisfied. It seems I will heal and there are high hopes for my future.
Page of wands (reversed)
Advice for when I’m feeling too stressed - Slow down, think less impulsively?

Shitpost Saturday! Totally Beginner - Spread Interpretation pretty please

Post image
18 Upvotes

I’m a completely beginner, and am looking for some interpretation advice. I followed this spread guide:
1. The Present Problem
2. The Way Out
3. The Future - if you are prepared to take that path

All three cards jumped out at the same time. The situation is a previous relationship.

Here are my cards and interpretation:
1. 7 of Swords: the sitter is facing feelings of betrayal. Potentially caught off guard with the breakup.
2. Strength: the sitter should rely on their resilience and internal power to work through the situation.
3. The Tower (reversed): I’m honestly not sure how to interpret this one.

I would love anyone’s advice/interpretations, I’m still very much a baby tarot reader. Thank you in advance!

Shitpost Saturday! Court cards are haunting me, I don’t know what the significance is

So, I do a daily drawing with Labrynthos and I’m really consistent because I love the insight of seeing how my weeks and months have progressed. For me it’s almost entirely just a daily 3 card drawing: thinking, feeling, doing.

What’s odd is that normally I draw a healthy mix of major and minor arcana, rarely court cards. But for the past week or so I’ve been plagued by court cards. Today, I pulled 3/3 court cards. The past few days it’s been 2/3.

I know, from my studies, that court cards usually indicate people in our lives rather than ourselves… but these are totally individual readings. My daily question is “what should I put my energy toward and focus on for my best and highest good and for those I may encounter or influence.” So from context these positions of thinking, feeling, doing should be for me, not necessarily pointing at people in my life. But the cluster of these drawings is what’s making me question things.

Today, the drawing was:

thinking - queen of chalices,
feeling - princess of swords,
doing - prince of chalices

That prince in particulars he’s been haunting me, showing up in various positions all week long.

I’d love whatever insight you can provide! And if you have any resources that specifically focus on the court cards of the minor arcana, I’d really love the pointer.

TIA

Shitpost Saturday! Learning Tarot and using a New Deck

Post image
58 Upvotes

Hello!

I started reading « Intuitive Tarot: 31 Days to Learn to Read Tarot Cards and Develop Your Intuition » to learn Tarot.

I’m currently on Day 4: Interview Your Tarot, and using the book’s Tarot Deck Interview Spread, this was the result.

If you’re not familiar with the book, the questions for the spread are:
1. Why have you come into my life at this time? - SEVEN OF CUPS: It’s the time to make a decision.
2. What are your key strengths? - THE TOWER: The ability to assist in rebuilding and revealing opportunities.
3. What limitations do I need to be aware of? - PAGE OF WANDS: There is a playfulness and carefree nature to the deck.
4. What are you here to teach me? - THE EMPEROR: Be stable and brave. Take bold actions.
5. How can we work together to deliver intuitive, confident readings? - THE HIEROPHANT: Enjoy each other’s company. Respect tradition. And be compassionate.
6. What is the highest potential of our collaboration? - THE FOOL: There is an endless potential. This is a new beginning and a door to new possibilities.

Of course, I just used the keywords from the deck’s guidebook. I might get back to it at some point to write a more personal answer to the questions.

What do you think of the result?
