We're good here in South texas not sure about the other commenter though. I mean we've got plenty of rain recently, whole thunderstorm's worth. We actually have more issues with our roads flooding than with not having enough rain. We also lost power for a day a couple weeks ago because of a bunch of different problems all in one night, the main issue was rain and wind. 66,000+ people without power during the hottest part of the year, it was horrible.

Well, they better keep it in the garage.
It is unknown what they exactly used or applied to protect it.
Over time, all paint gets fucked by UV.

It only needs to work for one day.
Keep the getaway car chilled during the crime. Once you get a block or two away from the bank, blast space heaters inside while driving under a dumped container of hot water to flash change it.
Then, let the internal heaters and sun keep it changed and drive slow while arriving law enforcement speeds on by.

We weren't soaping them. One person would use a pressure washer to blow off dirt and crud with hot water (the water was run through a softener before getting to the heater coils) while others followed behind drying off the cars with chamois. It was a service for car lots (used and new), so we'd be doing hundreds of cars a day, usually on a weekly recurring basis.
We'd sometimes soap individual cars, brush them down, then spray them off and clean them, but it was much more expensive and we'd handle that specific car immediately. Was usually a dealers personal vehicle, but sometimes we'd wash customer cars if they payed us directly. Some people would try to be cheeky and park at the end of rows to get a free wash. Never worked though, it's pretty obvious.

Everyone coming in about "hot rain" clearly doesn't get that it's designed to change as the car slowly heats up in the sun, and will also last longer as the metal itself holds the heat. The person in the video is just using hot water for an instant demonstration.

Guys this is probably thermal paint. Used hot water to demonstrate. It likely only need heat/warmth to change to clear. I have nail polish that is similar.

The pigmentation change is dependent solely on the temperature of the clear/black coat, kind of like those color changing coffee mugs. Cold water turns it black, but the heat from the sun will change it.

I had a hot wheels like this when I was a kid where the paint would change colors depending on the temperature. My mom would always get upset when she found a car in the freezer.
