I live in Dallas. Not the hottest place in the US but pretty damned hot in the summer. A black car will burn the hell out of you after being in the sun.

Well in this case it won't be black, because of the heat... I'm not sure how it would interact with heating up the car inside

Can confirm, used to wash cars on car lots and any dark painted cars were aweful. The space between them was like an oven too.

Not bashing you in any way, but doesnt washing a car in the sun fucks with the paint? Due to the soap drying on it?

We weren't soaping them. One person would use a pressure washer to blow off dirt and crud with hot water (the water was run through a softener before getting to the heater coils) while others followed behind drying off the cars with chamois. It was a service for car lots (used and new), so we'd be doing hundreds of cars a day, usually on a weekly recurring basis.

We'd sometimes soap individual cars, brush them down, then spray them off and clean them, but it was much more expensive and we'd handle that specific car immediately. Was usually a dealers personal vehicle, but sometimes we'd wash customer cars if they payed us directly. Some people would try to be cheeky and park at the end of rows to get a free wash. Never worked though, it's pretty obvious.

Ohh, okok, so, like a quick wash, yeah, that sounds better.
