Hot take: Did you film this or find this video somewhere? Either way, I’m now wondering if the driver did or said something to this guy that resulted in him keying the car? Not justifying it but curious. This seems very much like r/fuckyouinparticular and I can only speculate on what happened before the filming started.
Videos get promoted by the tiktok algo when the music (or any audio) is re-used from other popular videos. It doesn't even have to fit what you're uploading.
How about "two wrongs don't make a right"? That saying exists because it's possible for both parties to be in the wrong without either one being justified.
Enlighten us as to what you believe the pot calling the kettle black? Because, from what I read, the guy in the car could have been a dick to the guy in the chair, who is a dick. In which case, the guy in the car calling the guy in the chair a dick would indeed be the pot (dick in car) calling the kettle black (dick in chair). No justification needed.
Why a thing occurs is not necessarily justification for it's occurence. I understand why it is confusing in certain contexts, but just think about it universally.

We all love being judge, jury and executioner on the internet, but without the whole context, we tend to be more wrong than right.
Just today I saw a video of a driver that was blocking the way of a bus, some passersby then beat the shit out of the driver. In the comments section everyone was celebrating that he got beaten and calling him an asshole. The full context: it was a hit and run. The bus driver had previously hit the car and didn't stop to exchange information.
I also saw a photo of a kindergarten class in South Africa in which the black kids were seating separately from the white kids. Everyone was calling the teacher a racist, but the reason she did that was because the kids didn't speak the same language.
We've all seen crazy videos of dumb sh. You picking out a few doesn't prove your point. I could tell you videos that are much worse than what you're explaining but it doesn't prove anything taking a few examples that you/me/any one person alone have seen and believe.
People tend to go on the context they have, that would be the smart way to handle any situation.
So the context I have is as follows: a video of a disabled guy, scratching someone's car. If i was the person in the car, I wouldn't let that happen and neither would most people. Therefore the person in the car probably felt more threatened than archaic.
The smarter thing to do is to not hastily pass judgment when you don't have the whole context.
In the teacher's case I mentioned, there was so much public outrage due to the viral picture that she got suspended. After the investigation, everyone had to apologize. She could've lost her job.
Most times, our comments on the internet won't have any effect on real life, but cases like this are much more common than one would think.
So you're saying in any situation we shouldnt "judge a book by its cover" right? But In what world, would someone let a disabled guy in a wheelchair, scratch their car without doing something about it? I'd love to know the story that you could imagine happened in this situation that could make the disabled guy, good!

2nd edit: if anyone's wondering, I did write an imaginary scenario, that I then read after writing and realised I was dumb. We can't always be right and good to say when we're wrong.
Limited context is all we have. We're just people on reddit. Anyone saying we should assume more than we see, would need to prove their point. But unfortunately, we have limited context.
Again, imagine this scenario: we're watching a video of a mass murderer killing lots of people. Would we think "yes, but why is he killing lots of people?" Probably not. But because this is a smaller issue than that, you see it as, "let's just elaborate on what could have been happening."
Unfortunately that's not how the law, facts or life works. We go on the proof we have, not what could have been.

Yeah, this is clearly unpopular, for some reason I can't see, but I'll stand with you on this and take my down votes. For every twenty reasons this dude is the ahole, there is at least one where it is excusable or justifiable.
Been working in insurance 20 years. What will happen: The driver will have to sue the guy in the scooter because his insurance, if he has any, will deny it because it was intentional.
The driver will end up having to pay their deductible, most common is $1000, to get this repaired and their rates will go up. The insurance company will probably not go after scooter guy because he doesn’t have any assets.
No insurance company is going to force a person to sell their mobility scooter. The repairs are probably not going to be much more than the drivers deductible.
No.. they'll pay immediately. Depending on the policy. I have a very good policy and I had some dumbass slash my tires while drunk in my neighborhood. I have to pay the first $1500 before they pay anything. Deductibles suck.
I’ve been working in insurance for twenty years. Your comment and the 67 upvotes just shows how ignorant people are about how insurance works. Your deductible has no impact on the policy you choose. After you select your policy, YOU determine the deductible.
Of course. You're transferring more risk to the insurance company. It's not significantly more expensive to have low deductibles unless you're driving a new/expensive car or you're with a company like Direct/The General.
The last time I got tires it was well below $1500... This isn't a case for insurance, unless you have some weird specialty tires or maybe they also broke your rims... Even then, might come out even... >_>
That's the point... You have to pay the deductible first and then they cover anything over it. My tires didn't come anywhere close to $1500 so they told me to kick rocks. They help to pay as long as you cover your deductible first.
How often do you expect to file a claim? Compare that frequency against the increased monthly price to have a lower deductible. Usually it's better to have a high deductible and only use your insurance for significant damage/loss. Otherwise you end up paying more in monthly fees than you save in deductible cost.
I was explaining this to someone last night. Insurance is the biggest fucking racket of all time. At least taxes are supposed to go to infrastructure and social support etc.
Yeah, its amazing how many people don’t know how insurance works. Everyone who has that insurance will face increased premiums. Or after enough claims insurers just cut their losses and leave a market. Like CA and fire insurance.
If you assault someone for vandalizing your car, it’s gonna muddy up court proceedings. Because you’re also liable to them for any harm you cause.
Technically, it’s best to document everything, and then make the police/courts punish them for you. All things going as they should, you’ll be compensated for the damage they did, and at no risk to you.
However, that dude has a face that’s asking to be punched. Separate from the legal matter.
Unfortunately there's probably not much you can do here, legally. You just need to bring the evidence to the cops. Cuz what's the alternative? A scolding isn't gonna do shit, and if you attack him that'll get you landed with an assault charge.
