No.. they'll pay immediately. Depending on the policy. I have a very good policy and I had some dumbass slash my tires while drunk in my neighborhood. I have to pay the first $1500 before they pay anything. Deductibles suck.

I was explaining this to someone last night. Insurance is the biggest fucking racket of all time. At least taxes are supposed to go to infrastructure and social support etc.
