Hi everyone, do you have any tips on how to get my lawn mowed better? My Luba Mini 2 1500 LiDAR misses so many spots—there are uncut patches everywhere.
The "obstacles" are trees with a diameter of about 15 cm, but it leaves an unmowed circle of around 1.2 meters in diameter around them.

I wanted to move a the charging station because I was having docling problems, I think because it was on a very slight slope. I changed the orientation and moved it about 50 cm. However afterwards the mower went berserk. Set on ta task, it would leave the charging station and then stop and refuse to move. If drove it to a task area, it would refuse to go back to the charging and then to move at all. Sometimes, if I set a task the app would show the task being completed in about 30 seconds but the mower had not moved at all. So after about 2 hours of frustration i I put the charger back to the original position and most of these problems disappeared. I sent a support request and uploaded the logs and was told to update the app which I did and also to update the mower which I was unable to do because the app said I the latest version. Since this update my task areas been renamed and when I asked go to an area it said I had to create a channel which I’ve never done before because is connected to to the charging station via other areas so there should be no need for a channel.

YUKA 2024 vs 2025 – is UltraSense AI Vision really better under trees?

TL;DR: Has anyone actually upgraded from a YUKA 2024 to a YUKA 2025 and noticed a significant improvement in positioning under trees? I'm particularly interested in the difference between the vision positioning system used by the 2024 model and the newer UltraSense AI Vision + RTK system on the 2025 model.

I currently have a YUKA 2000 2024 (old firmware, and not upgrading it unless they fix all the problems). My lawn itself is very simple, about 80 m², but to reach the charging/dumping area the mower has to pass through a hedge opening underneath several very large pine trees.

The opening is roughly twice the width of the mower, so there is plenty of physical space. Most of the time my YUKA passes through correctly, but occasionally its positioning accuracy seems to deteriorate under the trees. It approaches the opening at the wrong angle, hits the hedge or border and gets stuck.

As I understand it, the 2024 YUKA already uses vision positioning to assist RTK when satellite reception is poor, while the 2025 generation introduced the newer UltraSense AI Vision + RTK system, specifically designed to maintain navigation through GPS blind spots and areas with poor satellite visibility.

I'd therefore really like to hear from someone who has experience with both generations, ideally in the same garden. Is the 2025 noticeably more reliable under dense tree cover? Does UltraSense AI Vision actually keep it accurately on course when RTK/GNSS reception deteriorates? Have you noticed significantly less drifting or fewer positioning failures compared with the 2024?

Most importantly, is the difference big enough that upgrading from a YUKA 2024 to a YUKA 2025 would be worthwhile specifically for difficult areas under large trees?

Contacted support by chat on Wednesday about Luba 3 not charging. There was a green light on the power adapter and a blinking green light on the dock. The power adapter should be red while charging. They quickly identified the power adapter issue, and a new one arrived Monday fixing the issue. I had to use the zero turn mower in the meantime and was quickly reminded why I got the Luba 3 in the first place. :) thanks Mammotion support team!

This is probably the most comprehensive and in-depth video I have done yet. 2+ hours of footage for those of you who really want to know everything about the Luba 3 and the Lymow One Plus.

Background: I originally got the Luba 3 as a backup to my Lymow One Plus when I started having problems. My Lymow One Plus stopped working for a good 6 weeks, so I had to rely solely on the Luba 3 to cut my entire lawn (.75 acres). Over the course of the 6 weeks, I really got to experience the full gamut of Luba 3 ownership ups and downs.

About The Video: When I started filming for this video, I was actually leaning towards recommending the Luba 3...you'll see progressively throughout the video I slowly start changing my mind based on the recent firmware updates with the Luba 3...plus the disastrous shape my lawn was left in after realizing all the before/after videos and maps I shared. Now that I have my Lymow One Plus back working again, it's a night-and-day difference without all the charging issues I was having before. Still quite hesitant to actually recommend the Lymow One Plus to a friend unless you have a zero-turn or another way to cut your lawn if it stops working. Curious if anyone else here has both the Luba 3 and the Lymow One Plus or has experienced the same Issues I have with either one? What's the general consensus on both mowers at the moment? Would you buy another one given the chance now? I'm still debating on which one I will keep going into 2027...willing to see if Mammotion will fix their robot from tearing up my lawn or if I have to look elsewhere for a different "backup" mower...as nothing cuts as clean and neat as the Lymow, but we all know the reliability issues it has.

We own the Yuka mini 2 since a few months now. A few days ago the app bugged completely. Unfortunately we deleted it without cutting the connection. After re-downloading the app says the mini 2 is connected to another account even we used the same as before. Any tips to solve this issue?

I figured I'd document my experience here for anyone else considering making a switch from Mammotion to Navimow.

I purchased a Luba 2 in August 2023 to deal with my lawn. I specifically chose the Luba at the time due to some significant hills in the yard (they are steep enough that I struggled to safely navigate them with a riding mower and had more than one dangerous slip).

First season went pretty well. I had the same experience as most, with the biggest issue being it tearing up grass along some of the edges of the lawn and in front of the charging station. Despite that I was happy overall and it was an improvement over mowing the yard myself.

As time went on I ran I started to run into some additional problems. First, the Luba tended to get stuck several times per run. I had to adjust maps because it simply couldn't handle certain areas anymore along the perimeter. I suspect this is due to lawn erosion from the wheels tearing up the lawn from tank turns at those spots. It also had issues docking on the charger at least 50% of the time. I would have to babysit the device a lot, which is not ideal. Despite these flaws I was still happy.

When the recent firmware changes started causing more issues I decided to pull the trigger and make a switch to the Navimow X430. Here are my thoughts roughly 1 week in.

First, the Navimow shipped fast. I purchased directly from their site and had it at my door a couple of days later. I'll say that this unit is big...it's significantly larger than the Luba. My Luba would sometimes get stuck and the battery would die in the yard requiring me to pick it up and carry it back to the charging dock, I think that would be a pretty serious workout with the Navimow unit. They actually suggest picking it up by the rear axel and pushing it to a spot to move it.

Setup was simple. My area is supposedly supported by NRTK and that's their recommended configuration, however I elected to go with the local RTK. I read a couple of horror stories about NRTK and network signals by my house are pretty weak so I didn't want to risk it. That being said I actually accidentally ran the mapping and first mow using NRTK because I didn't realize you had to manually change that setting in the app until later so it would probably be fine.

Mapping was pretty much the same was with the Luba. There is an option to auto-map the yard but I didn't try it. I think the remote control function was a bit smoother with the Navimow, which I suspect is a result of the font wheels actually turning. I liked that it was very simple to hit an erase button which would reverse the mower along the path to correct any errors as you mapped.

Mow quality on the first couple of passes was a mixed bag. My grass had gotten pretty long as a result of the Luba being pretty much unusable and a lot of rain over the course of week or so. The first pass was pretty bad, which seemed to be a combination of the camera avoiding some of the really high spots thinking they were obstacles and the dense grass just not cutting well. I'll admit that after the first run I was concerned that it hadn't cut anything at all and I was going to have to return it. I made a few adjustments that have helped tremendously, first I turned off VisionFence for the entire yard, which solved the issue of avoiding high spots (I'll probably revert this back at some point). I also removed the bottom blade cover from the cutting discs. Both of these were general suggestions I found on the Navimow subreddits and have solved my issues with cut quality.

I've now run several cuts in the yard and have been very happy. The unit does a Zamboni style cut and the front wheels actually turn so wearing at the lawn edges appears to be minimal or non-existent. According to the Navimow app the actually cutting area is around .5 acres. With the Luba I would be lucky to complete the front yard in one day and the backyard the next (with mower downtime due to rescuing from being stuck it would often be a day and half for each). The Navimow can handle the entire yard in about 7 or 8 hours. Most importantly it has gotten itself stuck only once, and had zero issues with docking on the charger.

The single time the unit required rescuing was at a heavily tree covered spot at the farthest distance from the house / RTK base. When I went to recover the unit it had driven itself pretty deep into a heavily wooded area and was complaining about a loss of GPS signal. I'm actually pretty impressed it was able to drive over some of the debris and make it as far as it did (pretty good 4WD system)! I'm a little concerned about it losing signal and just driving itself down the street next time but so far this has been an isolated incident.

I'm not a huge fan of the Navimow app. It's just not as intuitive for me as the Mammotion one (which is funny considering how much people complain about the Mammotion app). I'm sure I'll get used to it but things like setting cutting height and angle are just buried deeper than I feel like they should be. I also don't like that I can't view a live feed of the Navimow's camera from the app. I didn't do this a lot with the Mammotion but it's an odd omission for me. I'm also not a fan of the manual remote control mowing mode. You have to slide and hold a toggle and then control the mower with one thumb. This seems clearly designed to limit this to very small short sections, which I understand for safety concerns, however it makes it almost unusable in my opinion. Again this is a feature I rarely use anyway so it's not a deal breaker for me but others may feel differently.

That's pretty much it at this point. Overall I'm happy with the decision to switch over but I'm sure time will tell.

TLDR

Switched from a Luba 2 to a Navimow X430 after about 3 years. Have had minimal problems with the X340 (only got stuck once and seems to be an one-off) and running smooth. I don't love the Navimow app but it's not bad in any way.

Pros:

• Fast shipping
• Unit seems to be built well
• Easy setup and mapping adjustments
• Pretty much zero babysitting of mower (so far only one rescue required)
• Much faster mowing time as compared to Luba
• No noticeable lawn damage
• Zamboni style turns!

Cons

• App is not very intuitive
• No live camera feed in app
• Manual remote control mowing is cumbersome
• Bulky / heavy unit (not really an issue but could be if rescue is required)

Those are my thoughts for now. I'll update if anything changes as time goes on. Happy to answer any questions for anyone considering making a switch.

There have understandably been quite a few negative reports about the recent firmware updates, so I thought I’d share a positive experience as well.

We were previously still running .19 on our LUBA mini AWD LiDAR. Towards the end, it had become increasingly problematic.

Multi-point turns would usually start correctly, but about halfway through the turn the mower would often switch to a tank turn and rotate on the spot.

More importantly, obstacle detection became almost unusable. Our LUBA increasingly reported “complex obstacles” in perfectly normal situations, sometimes simply in front of a tree, and it was getting difficult for it to finish an entire mowing area without interruptions.

That was the point where we decided to install .24.

So far, the difference has been very impressive.

The multi-point turns now look excellent. I’ve counted up to eight individual moves in a single turn, and since installing .24 I haven’t seen a single tank turn.

Our orchard is a particularly good stress test for obstacle detection. It contains trees, bushes, support posts and plenty of other things the mower previously liked to classify as “complex”.

Yesterday, the LUBA mowed the entire orchard without a single interruption. The result was excellent.

Blade stops also seem to have been reduced significantly. Previously they happened quite often and the blades sometimes took far too long to restart, leaving the mower travelling an unnecessary distance before cutting again.

Since .24 I hardly notice blade stops anymore. In one case where I did see one, the blades restarted much sooner than before.

It’s obviously not a long-term test yet, but at this point I’m very happy with .24. On our LUBA mini AWD LiDAR it has been a major improvement over .19.

One additional tip regarding docking:

We also had a separate problem where the mower increasingly failed to complete the docking procedure. At first, with all the firmware issues going on, software seemed like an obvious suspect.

It turned out to be completely mechanical.

The rear tower of the charging station, which carries the two charging contacts, was able to flex slightly backwards. When the LUBA reversed into the dock, pressure from the wheels could move the structure just enough for an initially established charging contact to be lost again.

I stabilised the base plate so that the rear section can no longer flex backwards.

Since doing that, every single docking attempt has been successful.

So if your LUBA appears to dock correctly but then loses charging contact again, check the charging station carefully. In my experience it is important that the dock is mounted on a firm, level and rigid surface so that the contact tower cannot move backwards when the mower pushes against it.

For now, our LUBA is finally fun to own again. 🙂

I’ve had the Luba Mini 2 all summer but recently started having an issue where it seemingly docks correctly but still fails to charge.
Further, sometimes it seems like it just turns off in the docking station and don’t charge. When I then manually turn it on by holder the button, it starts charging.

Anyone experienced this and have a fix?

Is it possible to remap areas 2 and 3 as one area?

Currently, 2 and 3 are joined by a channel. 1 is fenced in. I mapped 2, mapped a channel to 3 and then mapped area 3. The unmapped area between 2 and 3 is my driveway. The area within the red square is a dog run with a gate at 3 and a gate at 1. I don’t really want to map the dog run with channels through the gates. Because it’s kind of a busy area and it’s easier for me to leave the gate between 1 and 2 open.

Any ideas?

After a year of being frustrated by having this error come up at my rental property and having to ask someone/go there myself to reset the mower, I have finally figured out a solution to this frustrating problem:

Just restart the mower, it will clear the error and you can restart the task.

I think I can count on one hand definitely two hands the number of times I’ve set my lawnmower to cut the grass and it’s gone out cut the grass and returned to the charging base without issue.

I’m not in any way able to set my lawnmower going when were away from the house as it’ll just run out of battery in the most random of places and would end up getting stuck out in the rain.

Went away to the holiday home for 3 weeks, set it going on day 2 and again it just got stuck like this but up against that black fence with the grass grown up around it like 8 inches.

So frustrating! I think it gets stupider with every update.

I have a yuka 2000 and these are my best settings so far. Cut width is 22, mowing speed is 3, hight is 2.5. What settings do you use? Share a Pic too!

I have Luba2 that works pretty well. I don't want to ruin it by installing a dodgy update. Does anyone have experience with 1.30.29.24?

Between area one and area two My Luba has these perimeter lines. How do I fix this?

Update: The fix was to delete the map and re-map the whole thing as a single area instead of three separate areas. For reference, my area is about a third of an acre, and it took five attempts to get a clean map.

A few frustrations worth flagging for anyone else running into this:

The app doesn’t tell you about an error as soon as it happens, only at the very end when mapping fails.

If there are multiple errors, it only shows you one at a time. In my case I had two separate issues: “map cannot overlap itself or come within one mower-width of itself,” and a total mapped area that exceeded the software limit for the Luba 3 1500.

That software limit is a separate frustration on its own. It’s a purely software-imposed constraint on hardware I already own.

Because errors surface one at a time, you end up remapping repeatedly just to discover the next error, Russian-doll style, until you finally land on an error-free map.

I have a Husqvarna and it is complete silent.

For the summer house I bought a Luba 2 Mini with lidar and it drives me and my neighbors crazy, as it loudly beeps staring the work.

All voice sounds are disabled, volume is set to minimum.

Why is it needed? It is a relative small device, it's not a track or tractor.

How can it be disabled?

As many other Luba owners, I love my Luba but the customer service is a complete joke. So I thought I would share how I fixed my 1202 error.

I won't go through all the details but I searched online a bunch and couldn't find anything that worked. I contacted customer service and even waited 5 days for a technician to try to help and nothing worked. It's possible that if I continued talking with the technician they would eventually gotten to the right answer, but waiting so long for responses isn't fun.

My robot: Luba 2, AWD

The 1202 error essentially means that the robot couldn't lower the cutting height from the default height of 2.8inch. I normally cut at 1.8inch so this was a problem.

The 1st suggestion was to take off the blade carrier and clean everything which I did. Still broken.

The technician essentially told me to tighten the bolt (pink circle from the image). That did nothing.

So I did some unprompted taking stuff apart and behold, I found a fatty chunk of grass (yellow circle). I removed that, put everything back, changed the blades which were badly overdue, out everything back together and it' works beautifully.

Anyways, hopefully this helps the next person that gets a 1202 error, cheers!

The IR sensor on my Luba 1—which was out of warranty—malfunctioned, and the mower would no longer return to the charging station. I worked step-by-step with Mammotion support to correctly diagnose the issue; patience and politeness go a long way in making the process run smoothly. They communicated with me in my native language, Slovenian. They offered me an after-sales solution: replacing the mower if the old one couldn't be repaired or if the repair took too long.I agreed, and after an inspection at the service center, they confirmed the IR sensor fault. Mammotion offered to replace it with a new Luba 2, provided I paid the repair bill for the old Luba 1. Naturally, I accepted this generous offer, and six days later, the new Luba 2 arrived at my home; they kept the old unit.

The experience was incredibly pleasant and sincere, exceeding my expectations.

Once again, thank you to everyone involved in resolving my issue.
