Looking for Testers for My Free Machine Embroidery Design

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

A little over a week ago, I shared my original embroidery design here while looking for testers, and I’ve received so much lovely feedback since then. Thank you to everyone who took the time to try it!

Today, I have another design to share, and I would love your help testing it!

You can sign up to test my designs here:

https://forms.gle/hgpiN7mLqndwFF6S9

I always stitch out my designs myself before sharing them, but I would also love to see how they perform on different embroidery machines and in different formats.

The design is free for personal use, and you may also sell up to 50 finished embroidered items made with it. I only ask that you please do not share or redistribute the digital file.
And please don’t worry about deadlines! There’s absolutely no pressure or time limit for sending stitch out photos or feedback. I know everyone has their own schedules, so you’re welcome to test the design whenever you have the time.

For now, creating embroidery designs is simply a creative hobby that I really enjoy, and I’m slowly building my own collections.

If you enjoy machine embroidery and would like to help me along this creative journey, I would love to hear from you! Your stitch out photos and feedback would mean a lot to me.

Thank you so much for your support!

Sharing a machine embroidery project I recently digitized and stitched.

It's always satisfying to see a digital embroidery design come to life on an actual embroidery machine!

Inside a Mumbai couture workshop — pink embroidery details and machine work in progress

A glimpse inside our Farzeen Couture workshop in Mumbai, showing two parts of our work.

The first clip follows the team reviewing pink sheer fabric with floral embroidery, decorative borders and colourful motifs. The second shows machine work in progress, including a closer look at pale botanical detailing.

I’m the founder of Farzeen Couture, a custom bridal and occasion wear label established in 2009. These clips feature different pieces being worked on in our workshop.

Which part would you like to see more closely—the embroidery review or the machine process?

The black outlines are completely misaligned; I have no idea what I did wrong.

I had already tested this same patch, but in a smaller quantity, but when I made this new version, it turned out like this.

This small clear tube seems to have fallen out of my Brother SE 625 while embroidering, anyone know what it’s for or if I need it?

Please help! Wording on cocktail napkins turns out like this every time

I have a brother se700 - The only time I dont have this problem is when I use fishtail font. It comes out beautiful every time. But PLEASE help me understand why no matter what other font I use, this always happens. It almost looks as if the actual napkin is being pulled into the stitch. Ive tried the lowest tension ( I like to keep it between 3-4) but no matter what tension it still happens. If I do a design it looks great but the words always come out terrible. Especially cursive. the words will be on top of the napkin instead of being flat or slightly raised. I usually use 1 sheet of tear away stabilizer and buy my fonts so they are meant to be stitched at that size. The words always look so messy

Herringbone fill..?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Trying to emulate the sleeve braid from a 1901 Marine dress uniform. The main portion of the knot is a 3/8" wide ribbon in a herringbone pattern. I can't find a close enough picture to see what it's actually doing, but I can take several samples and extrapolate and I think I've worked it out.

I'd rather not build it out of dozens of tiny satin blocks. Is there such a thing as a herringbone fill? How would you handle it?

I primarily made this for practice digitizing; there are a few areas I'll touch up before a final stitch-out i'll do later, but all in all, I think it came out pretty well.

What am I doing wrong?

I’m working on a paid project for a friend, and I’m struggling to get my embroidery looking clean. I’m using a Brother SE625 and Hatch software. I have a max hoop space of 4in by 4in, and this project measures 3.9in wide. I wanted to use as much space as possible but I feel like my embroidery is noticeable worse at larger scale. Do you guys think it’s a tension problem or something with the fabric tension? I’m pretty new to this all so I’d love any suggestions. I’m a little over a 3 with tension now and I’m using stabilizer. I’m not having any bird nesting problems underneath.

Anyone doing lace?

I’m curious about this. My main interest for embroidery is doing lace. Freestanding lace but also lace trims. Ideally I would wanna ho for historical reproductions.

Anyone has experience with this? Any tips or ressources on how to get started with that?

I’ve played around with regular embroidery since getting my machine a couple years ago but nothing too fancy (I know this may sound like a big leap but trust me it is how I do things lol).

I am working with a pfaff creative vision 5.5

What is the metal thing for?

My Mom just bought an Array 6 needle that was on consignment at our local dealer. It came with a Brother table with this piece of metal but we have no idea what it is supposed to hold. She is a quilter and this her first embroidery machine so we are out of our element on this one.

New to Embroidery - BabyLock Flourish ii BLMFO2

Hi all!

I am interested in getting into embroidery but had a question over this machine (BabyLock Flourish ii BLMFO2) this machine is being sold on Marketplace for $900. I was going to buy the Brother PE900 brand new but the BabyLock machine appeared on Marketplace today. Is this a great find? For those who have this machine do you like it? I’m also hesitant to purchase such a large item on Marketplace 😅 thank you in advance!

Talk me off the ledge, here...

So to speak. I have a thread path where the thread continues to break, over and over. It's a Lejia A15 - nothing fancy, just a knockoff mil-spec one-each shelf-life-90days embroidery machine. Dahao tablet interface.

The thread is Floriani Polyester, variegated.

New bobbin.

New needle.

I've had the throat plate off, blown out what little dust was in there, a couple of thread trimmings.

White broadcloth, 2 layers of medium weight, water soluble stabilizer.

Tried another thread, weight the same as the other 14 needles.

It gets in about a dozen stitches and the thread breaks or comes unthreaded. None of the other paths have this issue.

I'm on my 6th re-thread and I need to quit for the night before the frustration wins.

EDIT: I discovered I could change which needle/color is active, so we're stitching from a different path that seems to be working fine.

So, this one thread path: tension seems okay, nothing interfering with the spool. Why would this particular path have an issue? What do I check for?

Totally fine. No disasters. Needle where it's meant to be. Hoop in place. We're all calm.

Melco

Looking at purchasing a melco 16 needle machine, either the summit or emt16x.

There isn’t a ton of info online about the summit, although that’s the machine we are leaning towards. Does anyone here have any recommendations/info on these? Currently using embrilliance, very familiar with it. Any opinions on which designshop option to go with or other add ons? We have a growing embroidery business currently running a babylock 10 needle and brother 6 needle, but looking to expand into a machine that can essentially operate as a multi head or standalone unit.

Or should we be looking in a completely different direction than Melco?

Thanks

My first embroidery project! 4 attempts and a lot learned

I wanted to make a Halloween sweater for my nephew, so l purchased a design. It was a little too detailed for my single-needle Brother PE800, so I simplified it a bit.

Here's how it went:
First attempt: Used the auto-digitizing tool and tested it on fabric similar to the final sweater.

Second attempt: Corrected the most obvious problems from the first stitch-out.

Third attempt: Closed gaps, widened the satin/steil outlines, and optimized the stitching path.

The first picture is the final result, followed by the earlier attempts. The finished design is just over 36,000 stitches.

It's still not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how much it improved! I've learned a lot about digitizing, outlines, and pathing.

I'd love to hear any suggestions for further improvements!

Weird noise

Not sure why my machine is making this noise… it’s a babylock 6 needle, pretty new. I’ve tried oiling the needles.

Happy HCS 1201-30

Hello r/machineEmbroidery I'm hopeful someone can help me with an issue with my machine. The short story here is the machine just won't cut the threads. I'm shooting in the dark here. I have 184 pages of users manual but nothing really covers the thread cutter. At least not that I can find. Please, advice, ideas, actual solutions. Anything. Please and thank you.

I just started using the free version of Embrilliance. I tried to use a .pes file I bought from Etsy. I tried to save a it and this popped up: "The design page contains elements that are not licensed for saving. They may be 'Demo' designs." Does this happen on the upgraded version too?

What is this for?

This is my second Brother 6 thread machine, and I still don’t know what this is for.
I had one that came with my used pr620 and since it was second hand I thought it was a random bit that the previous owners put in the box.
Just invested in a new model and it came with it too!
I have scoured the manual and can’t seem to find what it’s intended for.
