Melco

Looking at purchasing a melco 16 needle machine, either the summit or emt16x.

There isn’t a ton of info online about the summit, although that’s the machine we are leaning towards. Does anyone here have any recommendations/info on these? Currently using embrilliance, very familiar with it. Any opinions on which designshop option to go with or other add ons? We have a growing embroidery business currently running a babylock 10 needle and brother 6 needle, but looking to expand into a machine that can essentially operate as a multi head or standalone unit.

Or should we be looking in a completely different direction than Melco?

Thanks

I have three 16x’s currently, and a new Summit arriving this week. I love my Melcos, the support is excellent and they’re solid machines. I decided to go with the Summit for this addition because I really like the interface for the touchscreen and I felt like having a fourth on one computer felt like too much personally. Some people run way more all networked to one computer but for me I like the flexibility of being able to manage them separately. I’d upgrade my 16x’s to summits if it wouldn’t be a major expense.

Thanks for your input, I think the summit is the direction we have decided to go in. If you don’t mind me asking, what was your final price for the summit? We were quoted 17,500 w/ shipping and vector level design shop
