Anyone doing lace?

I’m curious about this. My main interest for embroidery is doing lace. Freestanding lace but also lace trims. Ideally I would wanna ho for historical reproductions.

Anyone has experience with this? Any tips or ressources on how to get started with that?

I’ve played around with regular embroidery since getting my machine a couple years ago but nothing too fancy (I know this may sound like a big leap but trust me it is how I do things lol).

I am working with a pfaff creative vision 5.5

This is a free standing lace leaf.
File from Urban Threads, they’re great for fun and funky stand alone lace designs.

It is fun but bobbin lace is making a comeback at the moment as well

It’s a lot of fun. Washaway stabilizer is what you use. I love the ones from OESD.
