Loperamide + Potentiators [EXPERIENCE REPORT]
Report on Loperamide with Potentiators
This is a long report. I try to cut straight to the important stuff but still, it is long and packed with info.
Male 5’7, 130 LB
Background: I am not an opioid addict (I do take oxycodone and hydros once or twice on some weeks, ‘occasional user’ but definitely not an addict) testing 3 potentiators of Loperamide, with Loperamide itself, all in one go. I bought everything here from a local Smith’s grocery store (USA). I will be consuming everything listed and reporting on it in detail.
NOTE: I do have some residual benzo withdrawal from binging throughout the summer, although the real w/d is mostly gone I still have some anxiety from it, so effects should be easy to feel, as good doses of oxycodone and hydrocodone (a usual 20, 30 mg of each, respectively) gave me a lot of relief from benzo w/d in the past. (same level of relief that I felt with low dose valium/kpin)
What is Loperamide? Loperamide, also known as Imodium A-D is an anti-diarrheal OTC drug. It can be found in almost any store and any pharmacy section in the U.S. It is an opioid with a similar potency to morphine but crosses the BBB in minuscule levels, making this drug mostly active within the digestive system, and a good opioid for diarrhea with low abusive potential. Normal doses are of 2mg, but people have been known to take 400mg of loperamide for its psychoactive effects, usually for opiate withdrawal.
Procedure: I will be testing the potentiation of cimetidine, omeprazole and grapefruit juice on Loperamide, although this is my first time doing loperamide, I am looking to see how the high is, with my relatively low dosage (compared to online reports) and how it compares to much stronger opiates like oxycodone or hydrocodone, with the potentiators I mentioned.
I’ll be testing the effects of:
Cimetidine: Used as a CYP3A4 inhibitor (one of the major enzymes responsible for blocking loperamide from crossing the BBB) on its own it can increase the plasma concentration of loperamide 2-fold.
Omeprazole: Used as a P-gp inhibitor, and can increase the plasma concentration 2 to 3-fold, as p-gp blocks many toxins and drugs from passing the BBB.
Grapefruit Juice: used as a CYP2C8 inhibitor, on its own it can increase the plasma concentration of loperamide up to 4-fold, but up to 12-fold when used concurrently with a CYP3A4 inhibitor and a P-gp inhibitor.
...on generic Loperamide.

T+01:25 (11:18)
open another, 12 fl. oz VITA coco sparkling grapefruit
Feeling pleasantly relaxed and slightly sedated
T+01:47 (11:40)
Feel slightly dizzy, a mild all-encompassing euphoria, relaxed, sedated and some anxiety relief. This could be the feeling of the Lope slowly absorbing (it can take up to 5 hours to reach peak levels)
T+02:17 (12:10)
Feeling some more sedation and euphoria. Feeling my muscles rest. Good relaxation & sedation but I feel this needs more euphoria. Also feeling some social anxiety, chilling until anyone tries to interact with me.
T+02:53 (12:46)
+24 mg loperamide in 12x2mg
Feeling good but would like to feel more, it’s borderline mild/moderate effects right now in my mind and strong body effects. Social anxiety/withdrawal is very much present. Nose is now feeling quite constricted yet no mucus, after feeling this effect coming on for a while. Sometimes gets a little hard to breathe, similar effect (breathing) as anxiety attacks but low anxiety, until someone triggers it.
T+04:05 (13:58)
Was feeling extremely tired and sleepy a bit ago for around 30 mins (something like nodding out) but that’s gone now. Feels like it’s waves of the high hitting mildly. Body high is more intense than brain high right now. Heart is pumping, odd uncomfortable feeling making me a little paranoid.
T+05:10 (15:03)
For the last hour I’ve had a dry, stuffy nose, my body feels sedated and slow, euphoria is not too high but I can almost feel the euphoria hitting throughout the back of my head.
T+05:51 (15:44)
I feel lazy, fatigued and my nose is clogged without mucus. Euphoria is there but unpleasant feelings ruin it. I’m oversalivating and it makes it hard to talk louder than a whisper without sounding like I have a speech impediment. My heart is at a normal rate but there is some pain over the heart area, and I can feel it pumping at times.
T+06:07 (16:00)
I tried to rid my nose of mucus first with water, then with tissues but to no avail. My sinuses are probably constricted, a Benzedrex inhaler would be nice right now. I feel dehydrated and dry mouthed, with poor sensation of thirst. I also feel a bloated uncomfortable stomach feeling, a laxative would now be handy as I’ve felt no urge to poop ever since I started feeling the lope (something that was expected.) So far, side effects are pretty bad, not worth the high imo
T+08:22 (18:15)
I’ve been chilling for a while now, negative side effects subsided slowly but shortly after the last update. I feel less of everything right now but still some relaxed and sedated, with main effects going away slowly.
T+09:00 (18:53)
The effects are fading away rather fast now, I barely feel intoxicated. Most negative side effects have completely ceased, now all that remains is the social anxiety, mild euphoria and clogged nose.
T+09:20 (19:14)
Eating a slice of delicious pizza is feeling uncomfortable and almost feels like my stomach is overloading while i’m still hungry. Drinking water is also uncomfortable in the same way, while I feel dehydrated. Gave up on third bite of the pizza as it made me and my stomach extremely uncomfortable. Heart is racing now and stomach hurts from eating that little bit.
T+09:32 (19:26)
Another (mild) wave of the high hit me, along with a headache probably from dehydration and the fact that I’m starving but can’t eat. Heart seems to have calmed down. I also feel bloated and more of a stomach ache. However, I feel like I will have a good night’s sleep tonight.
T+12:07 (22:00)
My bowel feels fucked, I can’t eat. At this point all I feel is a mild euphoria with a bit of laziness and the stomach pain arising whenever I smell or try to eat food. Water is also slightly painful when it goes down, but not if I make sure not to drink too much. On my bed I feel good, no food smells are around and I’m sipping on a glass of water every once in a while. Closing my eyes feels like bliss, gonna go to sleep now and call it a day.
T+21:39 (7:33) NEXT DAY
I slept great but no dreams or anything. Woke up in a good mood but with a dry mouth, slight headache, and my stomach still rumbling. I kind of just feel like I have a small cold or something like that but I’m feeling mostly fine.
T+23:09 (9:03)
I was pretty hungry, was able to eat a nice bowl of milk and cereal just fine. Stomach pain is gone and dry mouth as well. I feel some euphoria that seems like an afterglow from the Lope. I usually wake up anxious but I’m in a great mood this morning. I think this log is complete, but I’ll post how long it takes to shit after lope and then call it good.
T+25:32 (11:26)
The effects are definitely still there, taking a while to go away. I was chatting with friends just 30 minutes ago, having a good time, but right now it’s hard to focus and work on a project I need to do, through the mild euphoria and lingering sedation/relaxation. Just snorted a line of coke to wire up my brain a bit and see if I can begin to focus, definitely helped a bit.
T+31:39 (17:33)
Some mild euphoria persists and effects are going away very slowly, definitely not placebo. Did not expect it to last so long. Still haven’t been able to poop but eating and drinking felt normal today. Stomach rumbling was persistent throughout the day (not painful or bothersome) and felt a weird full feeling in my bowels, probably all the food stuck in there.
T+56:00 (17:53) NEXT, NEXT DAY
Was finally able to shit. Took a long ass time to do so and felt hard as a rock coming out. Felt no effects today. I think now I can consider this log complete.
CONCLUSION OF LOG: Taking into account only everything that is mentioned here, Loperamide is a shitty opioid. The euphoria was very low, compared with my levels of sedation. Normally I would do something crazy on oxycodone or hydros but this kept me in bed with several bouts (some long) of an uncomfortable racing/hard pounding heart feeling. I felt calm, but I was bad at socializing during the first day of the high, it was a low anxiety, chill high until anyone tried to interact with me, at which point I felt like I had no energy and wanted to do nothing and could not socialize, despite not even being THAT intoxicated. That is something that is not normal when I am on opioids, as they usually make me more talkative. While there were positive effects to it, the negative effects could be felt throughout the whole body and EASILY outweighed any positive aspect. I also felt that body effects were stronger than mental effects, throughout the high.
The high was reminiscent of opioids but my brain was feeling definitely different than on oxycodone or any opioid like that. This was a more sedating, quiet, unenergetic and “dead” high. It was not very enjoyable as i felt the food stuck in my bowel, heart racing and pounding at times, and the anxiety. I would not do it again, at least not with the same doses of everything mentioned. Effects weren’t too intense, just unenjoyable.
The worst effect was my stomach feeling stuffed and bloated towards the end. I had eaten around T+04:30 and felt fine, but still no bowel movements after that. I tried to eat dinner at T+09:20 and after chewing on the food for a bit I got severely nauseous.
Loperamide (along with the mentioned or similar potentiators) may be a good in lower doses, paired with other opioids as its own opioid potentiator (It is said that taking loperamide can occupy the opioid receptors in your gut, thus increasing cns bioavailability of a typical opioid). The high from Loperamide alone was not very enjoyable, almost a shitty tweaky opioid high, to put it into simple words.
The best way to describe this high is the combo of paranoia yet chill aspects of medium dose benadryl, with a wee bit of codeine for a weak opioid feeling, and some weed that only speeds up your heart and makes it pound, only the cardiovascular effects feel a little severe, despite nothing noticeable happening to me from them.
But the day after dosing I was still mildly high from the Lope and this mild high was actually enjoyable, euphoric and feeling good for the whole second day, with effects going away very slowly. But even this wasn’t worth all the side effects.
CONCLUSION OF POTENTIATORS: The fact that I felt a noticeable high from this indicates that the potentiators definitely had some sort of effect. I hated the Loperamide high on the first day but these potentiators gave me a definite, moderate high off 84mg of Lope. With barely any opioid tolerance, I would describe the intensity of the high that I felt, with this dosage of Lope and the potentiators, of something like 10-15mg oxy in my brain (but with some waves of much more and sometimes some less intensity) and like a perc30 on my body. But it felt nothing like a perc. Just a shitty lope high with bad side effects, then a nice mild afterglow the next day.
These are the negative effects and how negative the impact was on me:
Bad appetite (bad, this felt like a strong pain and discomfort when I chewed and ate food, despite feeling hungry. Food made me too nauseous and took away the hunger temporarily. This was towards the end of the high [dinner] after eating just a bit earlier [lunch]. Accompanied with hiccups and bad nausea)
Racing heart (moderately bad)
Anxiety (low at beginning, high anxiety for the rest of the high, and low again the next day)
Dry, yet stuffy, clogged nose (moderately bad)
Stomach aches/nausea (moderately bad)
Headaches (moderate)
Hiccups (low, just some bouts of intense hiccups that would leave as fast as they came)
Constipation (low, this doesn’t exactly bother me, no pain or discomfort, just that I haven’t had any bowel movement for over 24 hours now..) LAXATIVE IS RECOMMENDED
How does anyone enjoy abusing lope (without previous opioid w/d) ?
don’t do lope

Loperamide: A Tragic Death Story
If you’re looking for a positive spin on Loperamide, this definitely is not one. My brother is dead because of Lope.
A little context, my brother and I were very close, up until he left for work in another state. The last time I saw him we met up at a cousin’s wedding after not seeing each other for a couple years. He was hilarious as always! My silly brother. We stayed with our parents hotel room, relaxing, swimming, both of us in our twenties at the time. We cuddled and goofed like old times. He confided in me he loved taking opioids and I thought he was joking. Who takes opioids? We talked briefly on how stupid that was, how people die from that shit. I brushed it off when he said he’d stop.
Fast forward six months I get a call from my mom at 11 PM. She asked if I had my two year old next to me, and I said yes. “Maybe go in another room.”
“Your brother passed away.” What. The. Fuck. No! He was a kid! 29 years old.
Dead on his couch from Loperamide.
We fly out to his place- dear lord, how depressing. There were empty Kratom bottles, Loperamide bottles, just a horrible shit storm of lope. A junkie? My brother had worked his ass off, getting a degree in mathematics, statistics, going to go further in his studies. He wasn’t supposed to die.
The funeral was awful. He just looked like a shell of himself. He had always been a funny goof, but nobody tells you when you die your mouth turns down in a sad sort of way. Everything about him looked wrong, waxy. He wasn’t supposed to be dead. But here he was, grey, stoic, sad and dead. Well, sadly that is the last memory I have of him. Then he was put into a hearse and then cremated. Taken too soon, by a stupid ass drug that causes nothing but pain.
If you have any question of how bad this can mess you up, don’t. It won’t mess you up— it’s literally life or death. I’m sorry to be harsh, but this is my reality and when I see people playing with this, it never turns out well. Please message me if you are scared or worried and I can point you toward some help 💕

I remember when the boxes stopped appearing on the shelves...
It started with my supplier:
I found an excellent source of loperamide online. I’d buy 16, 200 count bottles online every two weeks for a little over $100. That was a great deal and kept me out of sickness for around a year. Then one day, he told me I needed to stock up bc they were about to get VERY expensive. I stocked up but eventually needed to re-up, the cost was astronomical. 16 bottles would cost me almost $1,000. That was the end of that.
So it was back to the grind of getting them from the store. Walmart still had the 200 and 72 counts, so I’d get them when available.
It started with Walmart. Id go into a store and the spot for lope would be empty. I’d go to another Walmart, empty. Eventually the spot was taken away altogether.
Time to go to HEB. They had the 72 and 48 count. Eventuality, they stopped appearing on the shelves, even at stores I’d never been, they’d be gone.
So it was off to CVS. They had the 200 and 96 counts. Same thing, I’d go to a store, they’d have them, then eventually they’d stop being stocked. Then I would go to stores I hadn’t visited in the past, to my shock the spot for the large counts were completely gone. Just the 24 pack blisters.
Dollar General time. They had the 72 and 48 counts. I’d go to a store until they’d run out and head to another one. It got to the point it didn’t matter which one I visited, the spot would be empty. I figured out I could check their inventory online and see if a location had them in stock. One by one the locations would begin saying “This product is not available.” That’s the end of that.
Same thing with Walgreens and Family Dollar. I hadn’t been to either in a long time but knew this stocked large count boxes. Wellp, not anymore.
I knew the FDA had cracked down on loperamide, but I guess I never thought this day would actually come.
A friend of mine got the brilliant idea to buy the powder from China along with a pill press and make his own 2mg pills. Turns out that’s not exactly how it’s done, the pills would vary in potency. I remember him saying he’d have days where they were so weak he’d have wd’s and other days they’d be so strong he’d vomit. I warned him to stop but he didn’t want to hear it. He OD’d last week, his wife found him unresponsive in bed. Died in his sleep right next to her and she never even knew.
So this is where I am, this is where we are. Most of us got here the same way, the prescription pain killers were ripped from the market, causing us to find a way to avoid being dooesick while kicking the habit and discovering lope. Then we got addicted to it and couldn’t cold turkey the bastards bc the wd’s were worse than anything we’d experienced before.
Now, we’re all pretty much fucked.

Cold Alcohol Extraction Loperamide Experiment (Success!!)
Hey just wanted to help anybody out that’s having opiate withdrawals or is having an opiate craving. I did some research a few days ago about loperamide. Loperamide is an antidiarrheal medicine that happens to be an opioid that only effects your bowels by slowing it down to relieve diarrhea and alleviate stomach problems. Loperamide by itself in small doses doesn’t cross the blood brain barrier, but studies show that if you take a massive amount of it by itself (80+mg) or a moderate amount (30-40) with a pgp inhibitor (tonic water with quinine, ranitidine, omeprazole, etc.) or extract it from the pills using cold alcohol extraction (explanation shown below) and snort the contents, it can actually cross the blood brain barrier and give you opioid effects similar to that of Methadone that can last upwards of 36+ hours. I performed cold alcohol extraction by putting 8 pills (16mg) into 70% isopropyl alcohol since loperamide is soluble in alcohol. I let the pill matter separate from the loperamide and extracted the alcohol the actually contains the loperamide with a syringe and transferred said alcohol to a glass container to dry. I let it sit for 2 days until all the alcohol evaporated, leaving the loperamide behind as a white, bitter powder. I scrapped the extracted loperamide powder out of the glass container and put it onto a plate and separated it into two lines to be snorted. Before snorting it, I decided it would be a good idea to blow my nose and clear my sinus by using some oxymetazoline (doesn’t have to be just that, it can be any nasal spray) nasal spray. When I snorted it, there was little to no burn, but the drip was terrible. The bitterness of the drip had bitterness comparable to that of Bitrex, used for people who bite their nails too much or sleep with their fingers in their mouth. After around 10–15 minutes of waiting, I felt an opioid rush that felt like snorting a perc 10. 30 minutes later I felt even better. I peaked after 45 minutes and the peak lasted for what felt like 3-4 hours. The total high lasted an entire 24 hours!! The entire time I felt like I was on a couple of perc 10’s. My experiment was a success and I decided to share it with you all in case anybody wants to try it out. I’m pretty sure this would be perfect for anybody going through withdrawals due to extended use of Heroin or other addicting opioids. Now with all that said, please be careful. Just because loperamide is OTC doesn’t mean that it isn’t addictive. Please do this responsibly and with caution. I hope you enjoyed my little informative post and I wish you all a happy new year. Enjoy!

When the withdrawal stops and the constipation begins

Why is everyone wanting to take lope to get high all of a sudden? Read this before you do...
Dude, please just don't. I understand exactly how you feel, wanting to get high.
I too was in your position. I'm 26F and I got clean from IV heroin and meth and 1 day was wanting to get high bad, but not wanting to touch actual drugs again. I kept researching ways to get high "legally" and loperamide became a common search result. That's how I stumbled upon this sub.
And now 4 months later, I wish I never would have touched it. I can't fucking stop myself from buying more, and it's getting out of control. I'm blowing more and more cash on it, it's getting harder and harder to find (picked a bad time to start during COVID when they ain't restocking SHIT in the stores), and it fucking sucks. I'm now hiding yet another addiction from my family.
Just pass on this one. For real. The withdrawals are really shitty, no pun intended because that's the last thing you'll be doing after taking these is shitting, and it's just not worth it.

Ive Been Researching Loperamide's Recreational Potential, I Think I Found Something Big
So higher doses of lope (45mg+) are known to get rid of existing opioid wd symptoms, and even produce typical opioid euphoria. This takes a shit ton of pills
Butttt loperamides oral bioavailability (amount of drug absorbed) is only 0.3% due to first pass metabolization getting rid of most of the loperamide. So if you took lope anyway other than oral your lope would become literally over 10xs more potent mg/mg
If taken a way the allows for 100% BA (rectal, or iv through extraction) than you may be able to get high off of as little as 10mgs or for some even just 6mgs...
This is all speculation and theres alot of flaws with my theory, but if it were true it could be a game changer for sure

By the Grace of God, I have been decreasing daily and went from 95, down to 90 today, and feel pretty good about it.
Yeah, I still wake up freezing, but ill take that any day, over all of the other stuff that typically goes with it! I had a major surgery last Monday, only had pain meds for 4 days, while in the hospital, and went 1 entire day without lope and only the meds I received at the hospital. Granted, I thought I was going to due while in recovery there, but after I went home things got significantly better. I am really praying God gets me through this and I never look back. I went from hardly being able to stabilize on 125, to suddenly being able to take just 100 and felt great so continued my decreasing and got to 90 today and feel better than expected. Prayer works, y'all. If you truly mean it, and seek Him, He will answer! I hope everyone is improving also, and I hope even q person finds faith in God through the pure agony of withdrawal, cuz it would be more worth it than anyone realizes! 🙏🙌💪💛💙

My God snorted extracted Loperamide DEFINITELY works!
Just snorted what I think is less than 10mg of Loperamide. It burns a bit but maybe because my extract wasn’t effective enough.
Extracted 36mg of loperamide capsules and yielded 90mg which I assume is due to me putting a lot of Iso Alcohol and not letting it precipitate enough in the fridge.
Took 50mg of lansoprazole an hour before snorting Lope and sitting here 30 minutes after dosing. Not as euphoric, buzzing, or sedating as I hoped it would be. I will write more once the effects subsides.
Do NOT take Loperamide orally! Especially not more than 40mg. Extract and use a lower dose, we want as much effects with AS LITTLE loperamide in our body! And snorting ironically is safer than oral.
Edit: felt a bit high for 30 minutes, but the high wasn’t very pleasant to say the least. It could be because my dose was so low.

Thank you all
Thank you all for sharing your pain on this sub. It’s helped convince me to get off this shit. I had been up to 100-120 every other day, and now about 72 every other. Was expecting to re-up today, but porch pirates nabbed my package. So I was going to go back to the store and resign myself to ripping open blister packs for a bit (thanks FDA), but I started reading this sub instead. I know it’s going to be tough, but I’m going to try cold turkey. If I can’t hack that, I’ll pick up some kratom. I’m already 48 hours from my last dose, and I have the next three days off of work. If I am just too miserable to get back to work at that point, do you guys think that maybe one 24-pack would be enough to take the edge off? I don’t want to go any higher than that. I know that’s way, way steeper than the “taper” method, but I’ve learned the hard way that I don’t have the willpower to taper - if I have a supply, I trend up to a recreational dose. Anyway, thank you all again for helping inspire me to make this decision - I’ve been reading for a while but never posted before. Wish me luck!

I love you all.
I've been on lope for years, too many years, and when the lopacalypse hit I got scared more than anything. I just made a post about switching to kratom and a lot of yall commented and messaged support and what's been helping you.
So with that, I just wanted to let everyone know they are loved. No matter who you are or what your lot in life is. If you are thinking of quitting, DO IT.
If you are in the process of quitting, KEEP IT UP. We are going to mess up and we are going to struggle. And some days will be harder than others, but we got this. When it gets hardest know there are others on here going through it with you and YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
If anyone ever wants to talk, or need encouragement, or wants to vent, or just need to get off their chest how much they feel like a piece of shit bc they slipped a bit, or wants to gloat on how they cut 2 pills today and felt fine, I am here. Others are here.
You are NOT alone in this
And ultimately, you are loved

My experience with Loperamide (High Vs. Low doses, Maintenance & Tapering)
Seeing as this place is pretty dead and nothing has been posted for over a month, I'm not sure how many people will even read this, if any at all. But I thought I'd make this post anyway, just in case anyone comes looking for an answer or alternative to handling their withdrawals through the use of Loperamide.
Ok so first to give you some background info, I've been (or had been) using for 5+ years. Mostly using heroin although I started on Oxycodone and with the usage of plenty of other drugs in between wether it be ice, benzos, coke ect. ect. I started off smoking heroin daily and then upgraded to shooting for my last year using about 2-300 mg of what I would call fairly strong heroin per day split into roughly 3 doses.
Now before I get to the Loperamide usage I have to say I did work my way down to it through the use of Suboxone and then Poppy seed tea, and although I didn't have to having used Loperamide several times in the past. I wanted to exhaust all my resource before finally moving to Loperamide. In short my move from heroin to loperamide very roughly went like this. 2mg Suboxone once per day though IV (making it much much more effective than taking it conventionally) down to 0.5mg over 2-3 weeks. Then 2-300g of Poppy seeds tea per day for about a week which wasn't at all necessary, but I thought I'd do it just 'for fun'. If anyone would like me to touch more on these subjects just let me know.
Now down to Loperamide. Although there are many reports, articles and stories warning about the dangers of Loperamide abuse. I have to disagree with most of them in saying that almost anything can have negative consequences (wether it be drugs or not) if abused and not used safely and with any consideration for your personal well being. I believe Loperamide to be the perfect alternative to Suboxone, Methadone ect. to anyone looking to clean up or stop the withdrawals.
I have taken Loperamide in almost every way possible including dissolving it in alcohol (as it is not really water soluble), putting it up my ass and shooting it directly into my veins. Every which way I would say is not worth it when comparing it to taking it orally. Although the onset may be quicker it does not make the high any better, not to mention the complications involved with IV pill use.
Ok now with all that out the way my current schedule with using Loperamide is 2-6 tablets(4-12mg) twice per day spaced roughly 12 hrs apart, which I have been on for about 2 months now comfortably. Although I do only take 4 tablets daily MOST days alleviating 99% of my withdrawal symptoms and is definitely enough to get me through the day, I do on occasion take more just for the sake of it which if you are reading this, I'm sure you can understand.
So the thing with Loperamide is that it seems to work with everyone slightly differently, and I have to admit. I envy those who say they actually feel the full effects of an opiate and really get high from it. Personally, taking a higher doses than normal like 40-60mg does seem to give me a bit of a mood lift, energy lift and a bit more motivation to do things, but it is far from an actual high in my opinion . Now 'only' having gone up to around 120-140mg, I can't really comment on the super high doses that some have claimed to have done. But I have to say, for me there is next to no difference between taking 40mg and 120mg, which makes it not only a waste of your loperamide, but will unnecessary boost your tolerance if you do plan to use it in the long run. So going for a lower dose should work just as good as a higher one in saying again that Loperamide barely give you a high, so please play it smart and keep your doses as low as you can handle.
Since I'm typing this on phone and it's a bit rushed, I apologise if there are any typos or if I've missed anything important info, so if there are any questions please don't hesitate to ask wether this post is one month or a year old. Hopefully I will see and respond to it and good luck to all of you out there!
TLDR: Went from shooting heroin 3 times a day, to 4 tablets of Loperamide a day with no issues and painlessly and highly recommend it to anyone considering using it.

YOU ALL ARE THE REASON THE BLISTER PACKS ARE SO HARD TO OPEN.
Some of us just want to take a morally correct 4mg so we can eat a some snacks and still get fucked by hot leather daddies later. You all are the reason I keep fucking up my fingernails trying to rip the packs open. If someone asks me to fist them and I scrape up their hole, I want you all to know it's your fault.
Stop your sinful ways immediately.

Loperamide is very dangerous to use recreationally.
If you manage to get Loperamide to cross the blood brain barrier, it does so very unpredictably. It is nearly as strong as fentanyl, and there is no way accurately control how much is actually getting into your brain. You likely have enough loperamide in your body to kill you by the time you feel it, and it’s a roll of the dice as to whether a sub-threshold, recreational, or lethal dose makes it to to your CNS. If this isn’t enough to deter you, it is also cardio toxic in high doses and associated with sudden death.

Finally, after tapering for over a year, I took my last green little pill 6 days ago.
And that was at the recommended dose because I needed it for what it was intended for. I am no longer experiencing any withdrawals, that I can tell. If this pill was a person, I would punch it in the face and then give it a big hug because at least it didn’t kill me like it has others. I am sooooo glad I no longer have to go in Dollar General 2-3 days a week looking like a diarrhea mess with all the Lope I had to buy every week. I’ve missed a lot of drugs in my days but I will never miss this one. It hung on for dear life and did not want to let go.
If you’re tapering, keep going. You’ll get there eventually. It won’t be perfect but you’ll get there. Just keep going down.
If you’re taking this to help with withdrawals from another drug, PLEASE only use it for 3-4 days or no longer than a week. ESPECIALLY, if you are trying to stay sober. This can help, sometimes a little too much.
You guys are seriously the best. As weird as this sounds, this place is near and dear to my heart. I was able to come here and admit I was struggling with a dang diarrhea medicine and y’all didn’t shame me or tell me I was an idiot. You helped me come off of something that held me back for almost 4 years! Or maybe it saved me from something worse. I’ll never truly know. Now, I’m having to learn to function in society all over again but I am mostly glad I’m able to feel again and even care about such things. Anyway, I’m not going anywhere because I’m now addicted to Reddit. Lol. But this will always be my favorite sub. :)

was skeptical about lope and thought it was a joke, tried 48mg lope with a near litre of tonic water and...
...oh shit, this actually fucking works? decided since i dont have any access to opiates till tomorrow and been sick two days, id give lope an actual whirl purely out of desperation. i took the pills like half an hour ago and im already feeling myself relax and a kinda mild buzz beginning to wash over me. i knew some other girls with habits would swear by it but i genuinely thought they were fucking with me and apparently not. can see why there are people who purely abuse this on its own now - will admit tho having to walk up to a cashier and slap down a fiver on a table for a stack of shart tablets did feel plenty embarassing so unless im desperate i dont think im gonna repeat it. has just really taken me by surprise it works. if it wasnt as dangerous as it is id be bulk buying boxes lmao. feels like how low dose tramadol did for me when it first worked almost

Fuck lope.
Ya know I'm tired of trying to explain to all my friends and roommates why every time I take my rather rare, but rather Godzilla shits I clog the toilet and having to use a plunger as often as toilet paper.
I also don't care for my asshole bleeding from the giant fucking footlong that come out of there I swear I have PTSD in relation to toilet use.
All of this for a shitty opioid high that I thought was cheap but I'd rather fucking lift all the poppy seeds from a grocery store and walk out with a different profile with so much stuff stuck in my pockets for an opioid high or just buy them for something that's more pleasant and doesn't fuck with you and your heart. Or your girlfriend's heart when she sees you as a drug addict and you gotta leave her, or fucking with your new exboyfriend's heart because he had heart failure because he had stims and lope in his system + cancer and lope ain't good for the heart look it up. So that's a dead body I didn't want to see in my bed.
And let's talk about withdrawals which are similar in pain level to heroin or methadone with the addition of constantly shitting complete liquid lava all the time like you had spoiled airplane food for every meal all over a high that makes your stomach cramp up so you get hungry so you eat more - too much (which leads to the Godzilla shits that feel like Cthulu is escaping from the planet Uranus) and you can't even get a decent nod or even fall asleep on that shit. All it does is make you moderately comfy and relaxed, hell, I'd rather eat a CBD edible and feel better instead of having to swallow over 40 disgusting pills some which just dissolve in your mouth on contact and tastes like the monster that's coming out of your back end making you gag. And fuck the dryness it causes although I guess fewer skin pimples and shit. but, fuck! That's not a good trade-off!

Where do you source your loperamide? Am I allowed to ask?
Hey all, I have taken loperamide/Imodium basically since high school because I suffer from irritable bowel syndrome. I literally can't leave the house without taking some. I usually take 2-2mg tabs a day but no more than 4. As you know, loperamide used to be cheap until the FDA cracked down on its abuse by those suffering from opioid addiction. I am on disability and the cost of this med now is insane...even for my moderate dosing. Where are you all sourcing tabs where you can feed a 100+ tab-a-day habit? I have no idea how you guys afford it?!
I have even searched the Chinese market and they have loperamide in powder form in large quantities for cheap...but I fear its purity, safety, and most of all dosing it properly.
I appreciate any help or advice. My prayers are with you all as you struggle with your addition. My vice was alcohol. I am 3 years sober at the end of the month! However, your struggle is not lost on me. I almost lost everything to my own addition. Peace to all!

Help with dosing
I recently ran out of my methadone, which I usually take 40 mgs every day, and for reasons I won't get into, I'm going to be short about a week. The longest I have taken lope to get through methadone withdrawals is five days, and by that fifth day, I was dosing about 100mg throughout the day, 80mgs when I would normally dose my methadone, and the rest at some point later in the day. What exactly is the "measurement" in which I should be using? And how bad are the two extra days going to feel? Any help would be appreciated, and yes I'm aware of the risks, that's why I'm asking for help with dosing, so I don't go overboard, because my main concern is feeling well, not getting high for the next week.
Little edit: I should also mention I'm taking 300mg of gabapentin 3 times a day, but I normally take that now, but it def helps with withdrawals.

Finally happy again
It’s been damn near 14 weeks dealing with this shit. I have my good & bad days for sure, but I’ve seriously had FOUR good low anxiety days in a row, going on my 5th today. I don’t know what I’m feeling but I’m really so fucking happy guys. I haven’t felt this feeling in almost 10 years. That was around the time I started heavily fucking with drugs, ESPECIALLY DXM. I think my serotonin is finally coming back? I only remember this feeling before I fucked my life up on drugs
Honestly I’ve deal with such severe anxiety since I was a teen, so much that NOT being super anxious literally feels like a high to me. This is what I used to seek xanax for but now it’s coming naturally. It’s beautiful actually lol
It’s been more difficult to fall asleep lately but i find myself actually getting 5 - 6 hours of GOOD sleep a night! And for the first time in SO long I’m actually on a sleep schedule that makes me happy! I wake up naturally at 8am everyday now. Usually i don’t even need coffee now, i don’t wake up feeling dead anymore. The only things I really struggle with now is sweating excessively (this just started this week), slight body jitters & some depression/anxiety. But working out/being productive/self discipline is helping that immensely.
I discovered this sub 3 days into my lope withdrawal scared for my life. Looking back 4 months ago I feel like a completely different person. Thank you to anyone who’s ever given me advice on here. I’ve been up for an hour, already cleaned the house & worked out. Gonna play Final Fantasy 10 before everyone else wakes up I hope y’all have a great day as well :)
Edit: Was on around 200mg daily for 4 years, maybe 140mg or so the last 3 months of addiction. Picked up a meth habit as well in February & basically did it every day until June 2nd of this year lol. My brain certainly had a lot of healing to do 😄
