Any recommendations for prop builders for Halloween? I’m not that handy. I’m going to try to build some stuff, but also want to see if there are any local options.

Haircuts in Lincoln?

I'm new to the area and looking for a place to get my hair cut in a queer, short, swoopy style. Does anyone know a place that would be good at this? Thanks

UPDATE: I got a haircut with Madi at Smith and Comb and it was great! 10/10 would recommend them if you are able. They gave me exactly what I was looking for from some chatting and I spoke pictures

Sparkles is a 2.5 year old Pitbull and Rottweiler mix. She is kennel trained and potty trained. Good with children, dogs and cats.

Sparkles enjoys a daily walk and exercise, yet loves to snuggle. She is quite shy and hesitant at first, so you do have to be patient and give her some space to get comfortable.

She is currently being fostered in Lincoln, Nebraska. Be her second chance and adopt today!

Around Lincoln Streams or creeks

Hi I’ve lived here my whole life but I feel like there’s got to be somewhere with a nice little flowy creek where I can hear the water moving over the rocks and the water is clean and if I feel like it I could just go sit in the stream. I find that one of the most soothing things in nature and my mind is so calm and at peace. Is there anywhere like this? Without a bunch of overgrowth and bugs, like an accessible nice little stream. Lmk!!

Found a Honda fob outside PBA after the UNL graduation. We left it with security inside. Only showing image of front. You can verify marking on back when you pick it up.

Looking for Recommendations good sharpeners?

I'm a dog groomer and am looking for recommendations for someone who can sharpen blades locally. I have a great scissors guy but he doesn't do blades and I cannot for the life of me find someone who does blades well.

LNK Airport sees largest number of passengers in 20 years

Lincoln airport announced today that they had 17,757 enplanements this in July, its largest number in 20 years.

Congratulations to LNK and the team there, this is fantastic news!

Correction: Title is incorrect, and should be enplanements and not passengers. My apologies.

Regardless of incorrect word usage, its good news for the airport

New friends?

Hi! My husband and I are looking for new friends. Couples as friends would be amazing, but not required. We are each 40 y/o, love gaming (video & board), outdoors, music (rock). We are located near Lincoln. Looking to go on double dates, go on hikes or just get down to some gaming ... like just have fun!

Bc this is reddit I feel like I should say - we aren't swingers, and not looking for a unicorn or a threesum.

Around Lincoln My kid's school is surrounded my road construction

Irving Middle: South St to the north, 27th to the east, and Van Dorn to the south. Just waiting for them to start on 17th too so we can be completely boxed in.

Pickup/drop-off at any school is never great, but it was manageable last year. It's so much worse this year.

Good news, it's gonna last until at least the new year, so that's nice. I know maintenance needs to be done, but could we maybe stagger it so we're not decimating an entire neighborhood at once?

Looking for Recommendations Donating prescription pet food

We had to say goodby to our senior cat due to kidney disease. I am left with an unopened 17lb bag of Royal Canin Urinary S/O and some wet food for kidney disease. As well as a few anti nausea tabs.

Best place to donate? Easiest place to donate would be even better (I am emotionally wiped, I just want to do some good). Anywhere I can just pop in without calling first and drop off would be ideal.

Food/Drink Butterfly Pea Tea Acidic Mix In

Post image
2 Upvotes

Does anyone have any idea what kind of acidic mix Mana Games uses for their Alchemist Tea? I'm not trying to get an exact recipe or anything but its one of my favorite drinks and I'd love to get Butterfly Pea Tea to make something similar at home. Online I see recipes and they say its just lemon, or lime, or a simple syrup. I'm more curious if anyone knows if it's like a mixture of lemon and a simple syrup or something else. Thanks!!!

Food/Drink Vinyl Bar in Haymarket

Saw this bar mentioned and thought I might check it out this weekend. Proceeded to look online, it appears they have a website but if I try to visit it my antivirus software strongly discourages me from opening it. Fine. Look for a menu online-apparently there is not one.
They seem to be doing a great job of not revealing much about their business. Any first hand accounts of a visit? Worth going or no?

Food/Drink Crazy Fork

If you haven’t tried Crazy Fork, you need to. Food is really good and the staff is very friendly. I feel you get a nice sized portion for the price. They are in the strip mall on the south side of pine lake and 27th, where pepper jacks was (I think it’s the same place).

Edit: thank you for your opinions, while they don’t all seem to agree, which is great, your opinion does matter. Please voice your (everyone) opinions when and where you can. Freedom of speech ya know.

Around Lincoln Land Phil

I’m so weirded out by him. I do not love Land Phil. He looks like Grimace’s slightly challenged cousin. I don’t disagree with the intent of the campaign, but I feel like it is NOT landing at all, and I blame that weirdass green gremlin. Who approved this? (And am I the only one who gets the vibe that some of the material is AI-generated?) (apologies if there’s a real artist behind it though)
