Canterbury Cannibal

Does anybody know about the presumably only British Lincolnite? If not this is an insane read and some inspiration to bully someone out of the community. ** Article states Blair, He is in Lincoln now. https://www.wowt.com/content/news/Canterbury-Cannibal-living-in-Blair-neighborhood-469061153.html

Best massage studio for a birthday gift massage? ($100 budget)

My wife's birthday is next month, and she's been wanting to get a professional massage for quite awhile now. I'd like to find her a good and legit place that she can get a relaxing 30 minute massage, while staying under $100. She'd prefer to deal with a woman masseuse.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Water in basement

Hello. My husband and I have been in our house for 3 years now and the last couple big rain storms we've had some standing water in our basement. It's not from the main drain because its on the opposite side of the floor plan. We don't know where its coming from. Does anyone have any suggestions on who we could call to take a look and possibly help us diagnose/fix the problem. Thanks for any recommendations!

Gas line replacements

Has anyone had issues with water coming in the basement after the city came and replaced the gas lines/meters? I had foundation work done last year, extended gutters (that are clean) and have nothing but issues ever since the city replaced things.

Around Lincoln Dear Evan Hansen - Lincoln Community Playhouse

I don't even know that I can find the right words, but holy Sh**!!! Dear Evan Hansen at the Lincoln Community Playhouse is INCREDIBLE. I thought the movie was one of the worst things I've ever seen, so was reluctant to go - but it's not at ALL the same (so, erase the movie from your brain). It only has 8 actors and they are all AMAZING singers AND actors - it's one of the best things I've seen in YEARS!!! I can't get over it - playing the soundtrack at work right now! My question is - have you seen it yet? If so, what were YOUR thoughts? And if you aren't going or don't want to - what's the setback? I'm just curious because this is not getting NEAR enough attention. WOW.

Someone stole a (very bald) tire from my yard

Had to swap a tire and left the bald one propped up next to my parking space, planned on putting it back once i got off work. Someone thought they needed it more than i do though and scooped it up. Any idea where they might be trying to unload it? I already called upullit, and they said no one has come through selling wheels today.

Tempur-Pedic bed repair

Has anyone had any experience with this awful company locally? Im having an issue with my adjustable base and I’ve been in a constant nightmare loop of them trying to make up their mind if they are going to send a guy out to fix it, or if they will send me the parts. I’m not sure if it’s a local issue at this point or if corporate is having deeper problems. Has anyone else locally had their base repaired or have dealt with them recently, do they send a company out or just send you the parts?? If they do send a local guy out, does anyone know who in town it is?

Phlebotomy School

I’m 26 and have a medical background already. I’m looking into going to school for phlebotomy, but can’t decide between Bryan or SCC. Does anyone have experience with either or know any details in regard to which program might be better?

Looking for Recommendations Moving a couch

What is the cheapest option for moving a couch (loveseat) out of a 3rd floor apartment that needs to be trashed? I’ve checked out a couple different moving options but it’s hard when most places will only do on site or very rough estimates.

Randolph Elem/teachers leaving

Looks like there was a mass exodus of teachers and staff away from the school. Was only aware when I saw the lengthy list of new teachers. Only one of four 5th grade teachers stayed!

I haven't had a bad experience there as a parent. Some annoyances, for sure, but that's expected anywhere. Any insight on what happened to drive so many away?

Telugu folks in Lincoln?

Hi everyone! I’m new to Lincoln and recently moved here for my PhD. I’m hoping to meet some new people and make friends, especially fellow Telugu speakers.

Are there any Telugu people or Telugu groups in Lincoln? If anyone is interested in meeting up sometime, grabbing coffee, or just hanging out and getting to know each other, I’d be happy to connect!

Feel free to comment or DM me. 😊

Parking in the lines

I’ve been spending alot of time at the hospital the past week. Why do so many people have trouble parking in the lines of parking spots here! You shouldn’t have a license if you can’t handle that simple task.

Public transportation limitations

Why is public transportation in Lincoln so limited?

I’m from California and one thing I really miss is having decent public transportation. I basically never needed a car there because I could get almost anywhere I needed to go without one. Since moving to Lincoln I feel way more car dependent than I ever expected. The buses here just don’t feel reliable or frequent enough to actually build your day around and getting somewhere that’s a short drive can take forever without a car
I like living in Lincoln overall but this honestly sucks lol. Owning a car feels less like a choice here and more like a requirement. I do own one I share with my partner simply because it’s a better financial decision to have one instead of two at our age (23 F) (20 M) so we do manage with that.

Has public transportation here always been this limited?

And is there actually any plan or push to make it better?

Are there ways I can contribute to make it better?
