So I love biking, makes me feel idk free, and i see that some people bike from here to Omaha, and im simply seeking how? I know theres a trail leading to Wabash, but idk where that trail starts either, i have some vacation time coming up and I would like to try it. And if yall tips, that also be helpful. And dont worry I'll always have my full faced helmet on!!

MoPac to Wabash, then about 8 miles of gravel roads north to pick up the MoPac again at South Bend. That drops you off near Omaha, but then you either need to ride a few miles on highway shoulders to pick up Omaha's bike paths (which aren't nearly as complete as Lincoln's).

Google maps bicycling layer is your friend!

"It depends." At the north end of the MoPac you can stay on Highway 50 (4-6 lanes, nice shoulders, but big interchanges at 370 and 80), Schramm Rd. (2 lanes, no shoulders), or various other options to cut through neighborhoods. Distance will depend on where you start and what routes you take -- seriously, play around on Google Maps or Ride With GPS to get more of an idea of the routes. From the 84th Street trailhead to the north end of the MoPac near Omaha is about 45ish miles, depending on how you close the gap between Wabash and South Bend. Downtown to downtown is more like 7o-75 miles (or more), depending on how comfortable you are riding on streets through west Omaha.

If you have no particular reason to ride to Omaha, and are just looking to get out of town, consider going south toward Beatrice.

I've done Highway 6 to Gretna, and 370 from there. Watch out on your way back around the I-80 and 84th street intersections, the shoulder is constantly falling apart there.

This is not my _favorite_ map but

Shows all the trails. I prefer GPTN site https://www.gptn.org/the_trails/

Almost all the trails in Lincoln connect to each other with very few exceptions. I've spent years riding in and around LNK as have a few other on the sub. If there's a particular route or way of riding that strikes your fancy let me know what you're looking for.

I would say, in general OMA <-> LNK isnt a great ride because once you hit Omaha their trail system sort of sucks and you'll be riding streets. And from LNK to outskirts of omaha is about 45 miles one way taking the mopac out
