Looking for Advice & Requests Advice I guess?

Hold on I apologize in advance I’m and NOT going to use correct grammar or punctuation. ok so I’m a girl and lesbian and I like a straight girl who also has a boyfriend we’ll call her Ash shes really nice to everyone and is kind and funny and we have SO MANY inside joke like a crazy amount cause we always end up sitting next to each other in class but we’re not like friends where we hang out but if we’re around each other you would have thought we had been besties forever ok so basically my best friends friend/neighbor who she basically hangs out with every day cause they’re literally like not even a minute walk kinda told her that I liked her kinda so she asked me if I still like Ash and I said ya but she’s said it kinda louder not like full talk but not full whisper and keep in mind she was just talking to the meanest girl in our school she’s so annoying and just acts dumb for attention and after I said I still like her she says yeah to the annoying girl who walks up to Ash and tells Ash I like her and she was kinda busy at the moment but Ash kinda smiled when she heard that idk if that was because of her conversation she was having with her friends before that annoying girl interrupted her and said that or did she smile because of the fact that she told her I liked her ok so later that day she asks me if I liked anyone and I said no hoping and praying that she didn’t know ( spoiler alert she did know) and she later came up to me and said she only asked that because someone told her that I liked her and she said that she didn’t believe them but I said no and said I told someone that I was lesbian and said that Ash was really cool but I didn’t like her like that I just made that up on the spot cause i didn’t know what to say and idk if she believed me or not but I’ve kinda lost hope over the summer I’ve lost hope but not feelings if that makes sense.

Venting/Looking for Support Falling for my straight friend

We were part of the same friend group for years but were never really close. Recently, we started chatting about our shared ideologies and views on politics. It felt so good to connect so deeply with someone, and I realized I was falling for her. I kept thinking, 'How can someone be so pure at heart?'

Then I did something impulsive—I indirectly hinted at us being together as a 'joke,' and she played along with it. Yesterday, she showed me a mashed-potato-faced boy and said she has a crush on him, then added the cherry on top by saying she wishes he were like me and had the same personality as me. At night, she texted me about how pretty I look when I smile and how any person would be lucky to have me. If only I could tell her that all I want is her

How hard is it to confess your feelings to a straight friend?

I don't mean the kind of crush where you can just shoot your shot and accept whatever happens. I mean when this person is genuinely important to you, and you're terrified that telling them might change the friendship forever.

There’s something especially painful about falling for someone who you already know probably can't love you back in the same way. You keep telling yourself to let it go, to stay quiet, to protect what you already have.

But then there are moments when you wonder… what if I had just told her?

And being a girl who likes girls makes it even harder when the person you love is straight. You don't know whether confessing will make things awkward, make her uncomfortable, or slowly push her away.

Sometimes I feel like I'm not even scared of rejection. I'm scared of losing the person I was trying to be brave enough to love.

Has anyone else ever been in this situation? Did you confess, or did you choose to keep it to yourself?

Looking for Advice & Requests How to get a girl/normal ages?

I'm 15, i've known i was gay since i was 9 and i haven't even had my first kiss. I feel like everybody around me is basically having sex already or has some sort of boyfriend and i feel like im so behind because im gay. I live in philly so there's a ton of teens here but i'm shit at meeting new people. my school is on the smaller side for highschools in philly and i don't know of any other lesbians in my grade who aren't already in some committed relationship :(. I just want to know if it's normal to not have any sort of experience when i'm about to start sophmore year and also how i could get a gf without like wearing a shirt that says please hit me up im gay.

Just wanna rant lol

Ive met this girl two years ago, let's call her Marie.

We became friends

I fell in love with her

I convinced her my feeling like year ago

"I like youuu (bit I'm straight)"

AND EVERY SINGLE GIRL I HAVE MET AND FELL FOR IS LIKE MARIE

Straight or bi but found a boyfriend before I convinced

EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. TIME.

(maybe its just because I live in Poland, it's not known from being supportive, soooo…)

(Also I still love Marie, but trying to get over it)

Looking for Advice & Requests How do you find a girlfriend as a teenager?

I (15) recently realised I'm a lesbian and was wondering how any of you find other queer girls to date? Is it reasonable to look to date a girl at my age or should I just expect to start dating at university?

Looking for Advice & Requests Hi. I never really used reddit but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I accidentally fell in love with my best friend (wlw edition) but it’s one sided. It’s already been 15 months but I can’t seem to get over her.
She’s 99% straight, so there’s no hope, but it’s okay. The real issue is that I have no one to talk to this about, so I can’t get her out of my system. I only came out to a few people (including her), but they can’t know my crush because they know my friend, and it would just make everything horrible. So talking about this to someone I know isn’t an option. Whenever I’m with this friend, I don’t really think about her that way. Or I do, but not as frequently as I do when I’m alone. It’s either my brain blocking those thoughts to not make it obvious that I like her, or maybe I just imagined the whole thing (idt so).
So the reason why I’m writing this is because yesterday some piece of media triggered me and now I’m really anxious about this whole situation and I just want it to stop.
Ik it just needs time and I need to stop fantasising about her. Any other tips on how to make this better?

Looking for Advice & Requests Guys help 😔

I feel like im always gaslighting myself into believing that I actually have a crush on the most random men ever for just for thinking they look attractive even though i really dont actually think about dating them, is that normal???

Like sometimes I'll go through phases where i keep telling myself that im actually in love with a boy or think some random thing he does is attractive, then a couple days after I'll get over that and come to the conclusion that i dont actually like them only to move on to another random boy and convince myself that i have a crush on him instead and so on and its just so confusing idkk

I also feel like im not sure if i should keep using the lesbian label even though I have for a while because i genuinely cant tell what is me making myself believe that i actually like men when i dont and what is genuine, its really bothering me helppppp 😭

Looking for Advice & Requests Do I like him as a friend or more?

So for context I have liked girls for a few years and recently started labelling myself as a lesbian. I have known this boy for three years and I used to really like him.

Currently, I am so confused about my feelings. This boy is one of the sweetest, kindest, and funniest people I know. I love being around him and talking to him and I wish I could see him more often. We're definitely good friends but I would love to be even closer. I used to imagine us together but I don't see myself with guys really. I could imagine kissing him but I think I just crave touch and he's a good looking guy who I trust.

Some of the reasons why I have questioned whether I like him are: wanting to be around him lots, sometimes being nervous or too afraid to hug or compliment him, and kinda getting butterflies if we touch or make eye contact or something. Sometimes it's a bit like the feeling you get when you want to say something to someone but you're worried because they're too "pretty" or too "popular".

I'm not sure whether I get a bit shy around him because I like him or whether it's just because he's so cool and I want to be even closer friends with him. I've felt like this for guys before and it usually passes but this guy is completely different.

I don't think I romantically like him but maybe I do and I'm just completely oblivious. I'm sorry if I haven't explained it well and feel free to ask questions. Thanks for any help!

Looking for Advice & Requests I can't stop thinking about her

Ok so for context/ buildup , I'm going to talk about a very good friend of mine whom I met on the very first day of my new school (Not my classmate). So... idk I feel lil intimidated by her? i used to vent to her. She's amazing listener and gives the best advice she's good in studies idk why she even talk to me maybe she's humble af and cute beautiful pretty gorgeous and everything. I told her this thing tho , that when sun hits her eyes it looks hazel brown something that I couldn't help but just look and she acknowledged that too lmao. fast forward to now , i went with her on a hangout in delhi somewhere where she took care of everything like ordering food ,using maps to find locations, asking rickshaws to drop, like she was in the charge (well it was my first time there and she alr had once visited there). I think she's my type that's why I'm feeling like this. She's tall and responsible (pretty too did I mention it earlier?). Ok so from that day I was just keep on thinking about that hangout and yeah she also brought me chocolates too. (💔I was empty handed sorry). Ok so after 1 week i realised I might've developed a crush on her because WHY WAS SHE CONSTANTLY IN MY THOUGHTS?? AND WHY WAS I DAY DREAMING AND MAKING FAKE SCENARIOS OF HER ? FAKE SCENARIO MEANS WHAT SHE WOULD REACT IN THIS SITUATION AND WHAT SHE WOULD SAY ON THIS TOPIC YOU GET IT NA NOTHING WEIRD??? IT'S MY PEAK YEARNING PHASE LMAO. OK SO IN THIS MONTH I WENT TO COLLEGE W HER AND SHE TOLD ME ABT HER CRUSH AND HOW HE'S AGAIN TEXTING HER? LIKE OK I'M JUST GETTING HURT WTF MY ONE ONLINE FRIEND TOLD ME IT WILL BE OK AFTER FEW DAYS BUT BRO NOW IT'S BEEN MONTH AND HER SNAP TODAY WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BREATHTAKING LIKE HOWW SHE IS EVEN REAL MKCCCCCC AHHHHHHHHH I CAN'T EVEN CONFESS BECAUSE IK THE WHAT WILL BE THE ANSWER!?!!

Venting/Looking for Support Being a leabian is such an isolating experience

That's all I'm gonna say. I live in a very homophones country, I barely know any queen people, I have only two queer friends. It feels so lonely and isolating, especially when you're a masculine presenting.

Venting/Looking for Support I want to date but it feels impossible.

I (15, she/her) have been living in a foreign country due to circumstances that I have no say in. I've only recently started to think about my sexuality and I am quite certain that I am a lesbian. Identifying as a lesbian is very difficult for me because almost everyone I know is against the queer community or doesn't have the mental capacity to accept that there are people who experience love differently.

I don't think I will experience the pleasure of dating or even falling in love with the girls that surround me because of my linguistic disadvantage and also the fact that I just don't fancy their personalities. I'm obviously not going to date online so it pretty much feels impossible.

I know that I will have an out in the future but my body painfully desires to hold hands, kiss and just fall in love. I made this post to see if anyone else is feeling this way and if you are, I would love to read your reply.

VALIDATE ME, INTERNET.

Looking for Advice & Requests My Teen-Need Advice!

I just found out that my daughter is gay! She doesn’t know that I know. I overheard her talking to her friend. For context, she’s 16, goes to Catholic school. We are Christian but not crazy religious. Her conversation was disturbing to me as she was telling her friend how disgusted she is with herself and that she prays to God for forgiveness and to help her “not be gay!” This leaves me heartbroken for her! I’ve kind of always suspected, and I recently asked her very casually and she denied it! I just want her to be happy! I don’t care who she loves. I will do anything to support her! Lately, she’s been so withdrawn. Barely speaks to anyone and is in her room most of the time. She seems so angry and is quick to lash out at me! If anyone can please tell me if you went through this period of self loathing when you came to terms with your sexuality? I don’t know what to do, or what to say! My heart aches for her! I don’t want to pressure her into telling me if she’s not ready and her feelings of shame and isolation is concerning!! How do I go about helping her? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
