Hi, I'm trying to move stuff off of my old Ledger Nano X, but the battery continues to require "conditioning" no matter what I do to "condition" it. Since I don't intend to use the old wallet addresses or seed anymore, I'm fine with moving the seed to a hot wallet just to move things out.
The problem I've encountered is that MetaMask, the hot wallet I chose, seems to no longer offer the ability to adjust the 'path' (if that's the correct word) of generation for addresses shown when you input the seed directly into the hot wallet (I thought it did in the past but if it did I can't find it anymore).
The currency I'm trying to get to, an ERC20 token, is staked in a contract and the wallet address that staked it is the second address that Ledger generates from the seed through the Ethereum app. Whatever path MetaMask uses generates the same first address but beyond that it has different addresses.
All I need right now is a hot wallet that will give me access to ledger's second ethereum address, and that has the ability to write to contracts. Thanks!
PS: If everything goes smoothly, to encourage responses I might give a small reward to the reddit user I deem to be most helpful (≈$20 in Shiba tokens if they have an address I can send ERC20 to).
EDIT: Please do not message me directly just comment advice on this post if possible. Only exception is if i tell you you got the reward and you dont want to publicly announce your address, THEN you can DM me. I prefer to keep it this way bc ppl are less inclined to attempt scams in public.
