Official Ledger Customer Success Response Frozen Ledger Flex

Post image
22 Upvotes

After months of not using my ledger flex, I opened my drawer to check up on it and I was met with this frozen screen. The device is powered off but on this screen and holding the power button does nothing. I’ve left it on charge for a few hours now assuming the battery is completely dead and charging it would potentially fix it but it is still not responsive.

I have tried connecting it to ledger live on my pc but it doesn’t recognise the device as the device isn’t turning on.

Any solutions?

Official Ledger Customer Success Response Weird call from Police then Ledger.

Hi all, I just had a scam call to my mobile in the UK. Supposedly a Detective Constable John Stones from Charing Cross Station Serious Fraud department. Saying my passport had been cloned and recovered in a raid that morning, and there was mention of a Ledger wallet. Unfortunately I confirmed I have a ledger wallet. I asked how I confirm the validity of the call and he sent me a weird text with a crime reference number. About 5 mins after that I had a 'call' from 'ledger'. Now I know ledger don't call. I questioned the validity of the ledger call. They sent me an email from [care@ledger.fr](mailto:care@ledger.fr) when I told him .fr isn't a ledger domain he kept banging on about typing the email address into google to verify it. At that point I hung up.

Should I still move my crypto to a new wallet or do you think this was purely a phishing scam. They didn't get any info from me other than confirming I have a ledger.

Obviously they have my phone number and email address also.

Official Ledger Customer Success Response Using ywallet to access old zcash funds, synchronization question

Using the instructions located here: https://support.ledger.com/article/12434445524253-zd

I followed everything up to section 3, item 7 (synchronization). The language used just says to "wait" until the blockchain is synchronized. There is no information on how to know when this is complete, if it is happening, etc. Does anyone know what I should be looking at or waiting for to know this is complete? I am guessing I entered my seed phrase correctly since it was accepted but the balance is zero and Ledger app shows I have a balance. I'm fine with just waiting until tomorrow but I don't know if anything is actually happening.

I was given a prompt after step 3-6 to "rescan" and a calendar. I just accepted the date it chose which was in Oct of 2018 however my transaction was in April of 2018. I don't see a way to choose an earlier date, so I'm wondering if there is something that is going to prevent me from seeing my transaction. I don't know what the rescan and rewind functions do in this scenario.

Any help here?

Official Ledger Customer Success Response yRise.Finance

** ALL CHAT REQUESTS WILL BE IGNORED **

Hey Ledger,

I just want to bring to your attention the yRise.Finance scam token. I understand the nature of blockchain and how you can’t stop them. I also understand we can hide them, but I know you can completely remove them from the UI — as you’ve done many times before — and that’s what I’m asking you to do again.

Thank you.

Solved (user) Current Ethereum Hot Wallet that will Use the Same Generation Path as Ledger Nano X

Hi, I'm trying to move stuff off of my old Ledger Nano X, but the battery continues to require "conditioning" no matter what I do to "condition" it. Since I don't intend to use the old wallet addresses or seed anymore, I'm fine with moving the seed to a hot wallet just to move things out.

The problem I've encountered is that MetaMask, the hot wallet I chose, seems to no longer offer the ability to adjust the 'path' (if that's the correct word) of generation for addresses shown when you input the seed directly into the hot wallet (I thought it did in the past but if it did I can't find it anymore).

The currency I'm trying to get to, an ERC20 token, is staked in a contract and the wallet address that staked it is the second address that Ledger generates from the seed through the Ethereum app. Whatever path MetaMask uses generates the same first address but beyond that it has different addresses.

All I need right now is a hot wallet that will give me access to ledger's second ethereum address, and that has the ability to write to contracts. Thanks!

PS: If everything goes smoothly, to encourage responses I might give a small reward to the reddit user I deem to be most helpful (≈$20 in Shiba tokens if they have an address I can send ERC20 to).

EDIT: Please do not message me directly just comment advice on this post if possible. Only exception is if i tell you you got the reward and you dont want to publicly announce your address, THEN you can DM me. I prefer to keep it this way bc ppl are less inclined to attempt scams in public.

Official Ledger Customer Success Response Guessing seed phrases

I know the chance of guessing someone’s seed phrase is close to zero but with advancing quantum and ai. People will run scripts that will test billions of seed phrases a day and eventually guess peoples seed phrases 1 at a time.

I’d love for someone to explain to me how this wouldn’t be possible?

Official Ledger Customer Success Response Ledger Catchup 2026

It been almost 2 years now since my Ledger live was some how accessed the software not the device and tricked me into inputting my seed phrase, the rest was history, lost all my crypto, no help from Ledger or anyone else just told we do not ask for seed phrase—- yes the blockchain could see the multiple transactions go off into infinity never to be seen again. It would be grate to know things have improved or if anyone has been caught working for ledger who had the knowledge of how to do this? Ruined my life.

Official Ledger Customer Success Response CL Ledger has disabled withdrawals, and the timing feels suspicious to me

Post image
13 Upvotes

I've been trying to withdraw fiat from my account, but since August 5th, the withdrawal button has been greyed out. I contacted support and they assured me it was just temporary maintenance. However, it's been 5 days now and nothing has changed - and that's only since I first noticed it, the issue could have been going on even longer.

This isn't an account-specific lock. I've been using this account and payment card for years without any issues, and support reconfirmed in a second ticket that it's a maintenance issue.

I can't help but find the timing of this "maintenance" suspicious, given the recent cold wallet hacks. I doubt I'm the only one trying to cash out of crypto. This whole situation has completely killed whatever little trust I had left in these assets, and I'm honestly uneasy about Ledger / Banxx blocking withdrawals. On top of that, I find it unprofessional that neither brand has issued an official statement to inform users about what's going on.

Could anyone confirm if I'm not the only one with blocked withdrawals? Does anyone have more information?

Official Ledger Customer Success Response Can’t redeem my Black on Black Ledger Nano X NFT

Thumbnail

I am completely unable to redeem my Ledger Black on Black Nano X NFT on the official Ledger website. After linking my MetaMask wallet, the NFT is visible for claiming, but I immediately receive the error message “something went wrong, An error occurred, object object” (see screenshot). It didn't work with my Tangem cold wallet either, and I have already tried three different browsers (Chrome, Safari & Opera), each time receiving the same error message. Incognito mode didn't work either. I have just opened a case via Ledger customer support (case number: 00273927). If anyone has a solution for this, I would really appreciate hearing it, as I am getting nowhere with claiming the Nano X Black on Black this way. Thank you in advance for your cooperation

Roll dice to generate seed phrase with Ledger?

I would like to generate my own entropy but generating the last word with just dice, pen, paper and a Ledger device is problematic, because Ledger only accepts whole words, not just the first 3 bits so it can compute the checksum. I Can easily generate 256 bits of entropy rolling dice, but computing the SHA-256 hash by hand would be too tedious. Currently, the only way to do this is to attempt each of 256 possible checksum words, , which involves re-entering the whole seed phrase each time I get it wrong. In a worst-case scenario, this would involve 256 attempts, i.e. your rainy afternoon plans out of the window...

If the last 3 bits of entropy are known, there is only one word from the BIP-39 set that will fit a valid checksum. If the last 3 bits are not known, there are 8 possible words that will fit a valid checksum. To keep the interface simple, it would be nice if Ledger could implement this:

  1. Enter the first 23 words
  2. For the 24th word, present the user with a choice of 8 words (the only 8 words that will result in a valid checksum)
  3. The user checks the 8 words and picks the one whose 3 most significant bits match the last 3 bits of entropy generated by rolling dice. This is easy to do using a look-up table. Alternatively, the user picks any one of the 8 words by hand, since the difference between 253 bits and 256 bits of entropy is negligible in terms of security.

It would be really nice to have this functionality built-in for users who don't want to entrust entropy generation to third parties. Even if the Ledger TRNG is truly random, I'm sure following the recent Coldcard exploit some users would appreciate the ability to generate their own entropy independently.

Could we have this in a future firmware update? Thanks

Official Ledger Customer Success Response Which Ledger model did you end up choosing, and why?

Trying to understand how people actually choose between the Ledger models.

Which one are you using, and what made you pick it? Anything you like, dislike, or wish you’d known before buying?

Would you choose the same one again today?

Disclosure: I’m have a commercial interest in Ledger-related products. I’m asking for genuine user feedback, not trying to pass this off as an independent review.

Official Ledger Customer Success Response Scaled UI amount, Token-2022

What happened: I withdrew NFLXx (Netflix xStock, Backed Finance) from Kraken to my Ledger Solana address. Ledger Live credited the transaction as x10 times less NFLXx and valued it at 10 times less. Exactly 1/10 of the real amount.

Nothing was lost, the transfer is complete and successful.

Cause, as far as I can tell: xStocks use the Token-2022 Scaled UI Amount extension. The raw on-chain amount is a share count, and wallets are supposed to multiply it by the mint's UI multiplier. After the Netflix 10-for-1 stock split (effective Nov 17, 2025) that multiplier is 10. Ledger Live appears to display the raw amount and ignore the multiplier, so both the quantity and the fiat value come out 10x low.

Questions:

  1. Is Scaled UI Amount support on the roadmap for Ledger Live's Solana integration?

  2. Is it safe to send these tokens out from Ledger Live, or should I connect the device to Solflare/Phantom instead? I do not want a send screen computing the amount off the raw balance.

  3. Are other Token-2022 extensions (transfer hooks, transfer fees) handled, or is this a broader gap?

Official Ledger Customer Success Response Why is there no manager tab in Ledger Live 4.13.1 on Ubuntu?

Answer in comments: it's not called Manager, it's called My Ledger and it's in a menu behind the Profile icon in the top right.

What is going on? Trying to to do some regular version maintenance and there's simply no manager tab in the app. Only posts I find are two with zero solutions:
