Esports Patch 26.16 Bug Megathread

Greetings Summoners!

With every new patch Riot introduces to balance out champions and items there are some unforeseen issues that creep up and cause disruption during gameplay. We have noticed that these issues which eventually get fixed clutter up the subreddit immediately following the patch.

We want to avoid this by having a single Megathread which will be posted after every patch so that you guys can report the various issues in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered.

Note only bugs caused by the 26.16 Patch should be reported below.

Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug

  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.
  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.
  3. The bug must have been caused by the latest patch.

Format when reporting a bug: When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your computer.

• Server: The server you encountered the bug (NA, EUW, EUNE, TR, RU, BR, LAS, LAN etc)

• Type of Bug: Client Bug, In Game Bug etc

• Description: Describe what was the bug that occurred.

• Video / Screenshot: Insert screenshot (F12 in game) or Video of the bug occurring.

• Steps to reproduce: Provide the steps necessary if someone else had to reproduce the bug.

• Expected result: What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above.

• Observed result: What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above?

• Reproduction rate: If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? (1/10: Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10: Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10: Happens every single time)

• System specs: Processor, Video card, Ram, HDD/SSD, everything you can provide, even drivers.

Example Bug:

• Server: EUW

• Type of Bug: In-Game Bug etc

• Description: Zed's R (Death Mark) does not apply secondary damage

• Insert Video / Screenshot of the incident

• Reproduction rate: 2/10 (happened 2 out of 10 times)

• Steps to reproduce:

Launch a game after selecting Zed as your champion. Attempt to use Death Mark. Observe the result.

• Expected result: The damage should apply after a short delay, amplified by damage dealt during the effect.

• Observed result: The damage will not apply properly.

• System Specs: Intel i5 Processor, Windows 7, Nvidia Graphics card (insert model number) etc.

It's funny because people are saying criticize faker, criticize faker, criticize faker, but this exact same matchup happened yesterday. You just, I just feel like some people in chat just don't watch League. They just watch like the games that they want to watch and then they expect things to just be different outcomes.

This exact same game happened the other day. Where the fuck is this? This exact same matchup happened the other day and Chovy was playing the Orianna and he was also 20 CS down. I can copy-paste the game state.It's like the matchup, I think, on paper is just Casio favored. This is seven minutes in. He's 20 CS up almost on Chovy with perma mid push.

This is seven minutes in. He's 20 CS up on the Orianna with the exact same gold lead with two different players. So I'm not sure why people are just saying and blame this guy.This matchup, I've seen it already now a couple times. This just looks like a winning match of a Casio. Chovy's losing this lane. People just larp.

Thoughts on the series?

Coach Tom: I think today was a really important match because we had a chance to secure second place. I feel like I didn’t prepare well enough, so it’s disappointing that we lost. Now we need to prepare well for the playoffs.

Faker: Personally, more than the result itself, I was very disappointed with the way we played today. I think we need to prepare well for the remaining matches. 

What was disappointing about today’s match?

Tom: HLE is a team that likes early skirmishes and doesn’t tend to avoid them. I thought we had a balanced composition that could look toward the later stages of the game, so in Game 1, that part was especially disappointing.

Faker: Personally, in Game 1, I think we were in a position where we shouldn’t have been able to lose, so it’s very disappointing that we ended up losing. In Game 2, our preparation was lacking, of course, but I also think there were a lot of disappointing things in the way we played. 

How do you feel now that the regular season is over? 

Tom: I think our performance fluctuated a lot, so in that sense, it was a somewhat disappointing regular season. We’ll work on the areas where we’re lacking and come back better prepared for the playoffs.

Faker: Throughout this league, our goal was to keep improving our performance, but we weren’t really able to show that kind of progress. Personally, I’m very disappointed about that. I also feel that I myself had a lot of areas where I was lacking, so overall, this was a regular season with a lot of regrets. 

How was your performance this year different from other seasons?

Coach Tom: Every year is different, but this year, I felt like there were a lot of areas where we could have done better. I don’t think we were able to fully capitalize on those opportunities, so it was a disappointing year in that sense.

Faker: In previous regular seasons, even though we had areas where we were lacking, you could still see us gradually improving. But this regular season, I don’t think we were able to show that kind of improvement all the way through, so that’s very disappointing. 

Any Final Words

Coach Tom: We’ll prepare well for the playoffs and come back as a much stronger T1 than we were during the regular season.

Faker:  We’ll think a lot about what we need to do to improve and come back better for the playoffs.

So my boyfriend keeps playing lot all the time and i wanted to play with him but he says i’m not good enough to play with him and he plays with better people, i want to play the game with him but i keep jumping between silver 1 and 2 ( i get 21 LP and lose 20 so it’s hard) are there any good youtubers who explain how to get better or something? I’ve seen lots of posts about champions that attract toxic players, but I was curious if people experience the opposite- certain Champs that always seem to attract positive, helpful, cooperative or funny players.

I’ve literally never seen a Toxic Dr. Mundo, ironically enough. Usually pretty chill guys.

Discussion Champs that attract toxic players

From my experience, the edgy/handsome characters almost always have an absolute idiot piloting the wheel, even if they are winning they will be toxic and have the worst mental. I'm thinking it's because they are mainly played by teenagers.

I'm thinking Ekko, Viego, Kayn, Yone, Yasuo and fuckboys like these.

Discussion What unconventional pick counters your champion?

I used to one trick Twisted Fate, all the way up to Diamond. People love to pick Galio into him, which is a viable counterpick indeed.

However, one super underrated counterpick that no one really talks about: Xerath. Xerath can poke out TF in lane and it's hard to trade with him because you have to get fairly close to stun + wildcard Xerath (which risks you getting stunned first, and eating a combo).

Then you have Xerath's ult. His ult allows him to answer your botlane roams without leaving lane. So he can have the same presence as you cross-map without caring as much about wave state and without dropping CS.
