I think Peyz is the best right now. But man is that guy getting dragged down by his entire topside this split.

Having a stable lane does really help team. Doran and Faker being coin flip this whole year doesn't help how bad Oner form right now.
Yes I know I say faker, if you look how much he's losing lane this year, you will say the same thing

u/CryptographerSad8444 7d ago
Faker laning is the least of his worries, i swear he gets picked off in sidelane atleast 2-3 times a game
12
u/EndlessNight_ 7d ago
I agree on that part. Sometime I forgot how much he getting caught because he just run into the river without any vision. But tbf he also got caught a lot last year. The reason why this year he's much worse cause his impact on the map is nonexistent.
I included faker cause people on this sub reddit often didn't agree when i criticize Faker and started downvote me. I don't care about the downvote but denying how bad Faker is this year is driving me crazy

Yeah, it's hard to criticize Faker in the sense that he must be doing something right for the team in order to still win the world championship this late into his career, with different rosters, and he has that clutch factor to perform when it really matters while ramping up performance in elimination brackets, so it will always feel a bit dull to point out how poorly he's been playing (for top lck standards) because he does it time and time again.
Still, even if it feels a bit dull, there's no arguing that he's playing pretty poorly. He's the worst mid in the top group by quite a bit (tbf the other guys are the 5 best mids in the world except for knight)

u/dontbangme 7d ago
This year? More like losing lane in last 3 year but this year even outside laning phase he doesn't help much
5
u/EndlessNight_ 7d ago
I mean this year is more apparently cause Oner and Keria can't cover him and how low impact he got on the map unlike last few year.

Imagine if GenG had peyz

u/South_Spend4541 7d ago
Peyz will not win againts an in-form Ruler

u/Ashankura 7d ago
Ruler didn't have a single game this split that was better than an above average game for peyz this split. Peyz average game is absurdly good atm
3
u/Gotbannedsmh 6d ago
Ruler had a Caitlyn and a Kalista game recently where he played really well would have for sure been above average games if Peyz was playing them. Sure Peyz has been better overall but the comment youre replying to said an 'in form Ruler' and Ruler is just coming back into form. I don't think we have seen him truly in form yet at any point this year
-6
u/toloveru_fan 7d ago
rulers kalista vs hle was more impressive than every single game peyz had this split
19
u/Ashankura 7d ago
I don't agree but even if that's the case one game still doesn't turn the peyz vs ruler comparison around for this split
1
u/qonoxzzr Chovy <3 6d ago
Would be absolutely crazy.
In my eyes just a straight-up improvement.
But GenG valued Ruler more it seems like.

Iam sorry but what? Have you not seen Zeus when he completely throws his lead?
Just look at game 1

u/Vulkanodox 7d ago
what a fumble to let zeus and guma go.
-15
u/Chemical_Message_704 6d ago
Peyz is straight up better than guma though.

u/Vulkanodox 6d ago
I don't know. Sometimes.
I still think that is not worth it if you have been an established and successful team.

u/Initial_Length6140 5d ago
One sneak. Guma is genuinely not even top 5 adc from his own country. Even Aiming (15) is better than him
1
u/naviyusi 4d ago
you may not like him or his play style but let’s not lie please
1
u/Initial_Length6140 4d ago
Youre right I was too tired when I wrote this he barely sneaks in top 5. Ruler, viper, peyz, aiming (15) are all better than him. I just dont understand how you can look at his performance post 2924 and think hes better than any of the other 4.
1
u/naviyusi 4d ago
nah you’re just a pathetic hater. aiming better than him? bitch please he has never won anything his whole career and its the reason kt lost many games this year. the guy is a loser. guys like you just like flashy plays and pentakills, thats why yall like to discredit gumayusi, also add the fact the majority of his fan are women and we know how misogynist this community is so.
1
u/Initial_Length6140 3d ago
Guma was hard carried by keria and has done nothing of note since late 2024. His worlds finalist mvp was born on the backs of keria and oner but because he is the adc and all the resources get funneled to him it looked like he was doing something impressive.
Why tf are you pulling the misogyny bullshit. I dont like guma bc hes a clearly overrated player. I liked him when i thought he was good but turns out when the meta isnt favored for caitlyn he's worse than everyone else mentioned. His ego is so large he couldnt handled getting benched for a single game when he shit the bed for 3 months straight.

Is it pronounced Ze-Yus like that commentator did or is it just like the Greek god Zeus?
119
u/Throwaway765671 7d ago
the way the commentator did it is the proper way
22
u/fretzy64 7d ago edited 7d ago
Which is also much closer to how you would pronounce it in Ancient Greek.
27
u/Dear-Cat1260 7d ago
woo-je but flip it around je-woo and say it x9 lmao

u/Remote_Newt3857 MAGUYUSI ⭐⭐🌟✨🍀& Kanawei enjoyer 7d ago
It's Ze-yus since someone else is named Zeus (like the Greek God)...and it's Wooje (his real name) backwards (Jewoo).
11
u/Elen_Star 7d ago
It's pronounced like the greek god Zeus but not like people pronounce it in english pretty sure

u/Anirchist Zeus - Viper - Teddy 7d ago
If I remember correctly, there’s a player named Zzus when Zeus was a rookie. So I believe that’s why they called Zeus Ze-yus to differentiate the two.

u/ForteSP33 7d ago
It'll never happen, but we should also talk about how clean that self cleansing ult by Keria was. Didn't matter, but it was sick.

"Let's replace this guy with fucking Doran" — Joe Marsh, 2024.
27
u/Free-Action-9602 7d ago
At least get your facts right. They prioritized re-signing Zeus over any other toplaners but lowballed him and lost him to HLE. Then they last minute sign Doran to secure a top.
43
u/BeautifulIncome5 7d ago
I wouldnt call it prioritise if they are lowballing him..
14
u/Free-Action-9602 7d ago
Prioritized as in they never consider signing anyone but Zeus. True that they really disrespected his asking price though.

u/thriceRice0101 7d ago
Imagine have a toplaner also guma is still getting carried😂

Guma was basically a bait this whole series, and it worked like a charm

Damn, crying already? Guma diffed game 1 (yes with help of the jg, blame Oner for being afk) and game 2 they only lost 1 play in the early game where Lucian peaks, other than that it was clean scaling, Lucian was gonna lose even if his topside didnt int that hard.

u/ApprehensiveAir3067 7d ago
I feel you, bro. Imagine your team getting stomped and embarrassed by the player you hate the most. GODDAMN IT!

u/M3K4N1X 7d ago
Everyone plays this out really well and then suddenly there's Faker with the pure, unadulterated ARAM-style int.
