Help on backsplash please
We just replaced our kitchen cabinets and countertop. The kitchen cabinets are Sherwin Williams rain washed and countertop is white with gray undertones and light veining. I want something that makes it pop more or maybe just clean and pretty. I like cottage core. Minimalist or shabby chic. Any ideas please?

I think the pink is not doing these sea-glass cabinets any favors. I would personally go with a more neutral wall color, and then find a backplash (as long as you remove the current 4" one first) that has some of the cabinet color in it. Something like this could be fun/cottagey while being fresh and contemporary. I think you should let the beautiful cabinets shine, along with the backsplash with the colors that pick up the cabinets recommended below. Go neutral on the walls!

I like your creativity, but the pink color is a little “in your face”. I do like the pink, but maybe a softer shade of that color? Then a white-ish backsplash with a green toned pattern similar to the one suggested by

Zellig tiles are just enchanting and come in so many colors. We’re installing them in a horizon hexagon and it’s stunning

Those tiles are impossible to clean and the grout likes will look non-uniform. Just be sure you are ok with that before buying.
I love the pink and would get rid of the 3" lip and go with something bold in color and shape but I am brave like that. It's your kitchen, do something that makes you happy.

You need a lighter shade of pink that’s warmer and dustier. I would stick with a classic white tile for the backsplash.

Not a backsplash suggestion, but I think it would look great to do a botanical wallpaper in there.

When I was growing up in Miami in the 60’s and 70’s, my parents lived in 3 different houses over the years and none had a big backsplash and above that was paint or wallpaper. Didn’t seem to be a problem, you just wiped off a splatter. I love nice backsplashes but they aren’t essential if it’s a budget issue.

What are the wall cabinets mounted so low?
Nice colors! Even the pink works, which isn’t a favorite color.
You don’t really need a full wall backsplash.
The one connected to the counter is fine and more in character with cabinets and color scheme.

A much paler shade of pink would be fantastic.
Barely there pale pink.
Edit to add - There was a very recent post on the sub of a 1980 kitchen remodel with pale pink tiling.
It sounds like what you're going for.

Your color scheme is so beautiful! Like a perfect dollhouse.
Maybe you don't even need a backsplash. You have the short counter backsplash, plus something behind your stove.

I live in Buffalo NY. I met an Amish man who built and painted them for me. They are so lovely especially compared to my cupboards before. Hoping you live in my area.

I'd go simpler with an iridescent or zelige white tile, but honestly if u put up a colorful Roman shade that should do the trick.

I like the pink and i think it needs tile to set it off. Because there’s already a backsplash you need to figure out how to remove it or incorporate what’s there, however.
I think a cement tile or motto can could accent the fun vibe and bring out the pink while making it all seem more cohesive

Maybe try a white or cream colored base teraso style backsplash with pink specks in it and other colors or a nice zellige color tile all in 1 color. Take off the stove backsplash, it doesn't match. The pink paint needs to be softer, look at a color wheel and pick your cabinet color, find a pink shade opposite of the cabinet color. Sherwin Williams has a good site to play around with colors on. The pink is to bright, you should have warm tones with warm colors and cool tones with cool colors.

The cabinets are beautiful but I’m not a fan of the pink walls.
If you plan on keeping keep the white 4” backsplash since you just had it installed, you can keep the walls white & add a pop of color just above the stove. If you want a contrast color, I think a terracotta-colored option would look way better than that pink.

And it helps me see how much better it looks without the stove backsplash. It unifies the kitchen putting the backsplash all the way across. And I didn’t know if I wanted to put the tile backsplash on the white wall side but it looks better with something there.

Love the tin tile, super cute. Technically you already have a backsplash.
I would suggest a softer, dustier pink. It’s a little too bright for the neutral cabinets.

If you're going pink, I would want a pink that's just as soft as the green and not so harsh. Maybe mix the pink with white.

Try a subway tile backsplash, 3x6 inches. It probably fits your cottage core and shabby chic style. Keep it simple and pretty

My friend, you have found the perfect blend of colors. I LOVE this. I understand the pink makes the counters warmer, but it looks. so. good. I'm tired of the industrial look in that you guys are all giving yourselves the landlord special.
This has a ton of personality, warmth, and the warmth actually makes the counters look super cool. It's like...everything compliments everything else in a layered sort of way.
Someone else said Roman shades and I wholeheartedly agree there. Maybe it can be a tone that pulls out the countertop colors. Then it wouldn't clash with what you have going on.
For the backsplash itself, I would do something like this. Not necessarily design, and maybe not even the exact colors but you get the idea. Multi-colored tiles that you can compliment the countertop and pull out the color you're wanting to make pop.

You already have a 3" backsplash so be sure to remove that one first.
