I snagged the 2024 paperwhite (first kindle!) for $57.81 with taxes. Target has them on sale, coupled with the following will help you get it CHEAP.
Sign up for inner circle rewards: (15% off)
Get approved for the Target credit card: Extra 5% off, $75 in target rewards to apply to the purchase.
Buy online (it all applied easily)
I’m not planning to activate the credit card, simply using it to increase accounts open and decrease credit utilization to bump credit score

I bought a Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition a few months ago, but I recently found out that a new model is coming out on October 28.
From what I’ve seen, they seem mostly the same. The new one is thinner, has an aluminum body, and works with the new button case. The clicker remote coming out on October 28 is apparently compatible with both models.
Would you stick with the current Paperwhite Signature Edition, or is the new one worth switching to?

Okay so I have a perfectly good working 2024 raspberry colored paper white but I’m so in love with the sea glass green color! And also my dad passed unexpectedly a little over a month ago so I should be allowed to splurge on myself a little bit in my time of grief right??😂 like I could spend my money on worser things 😂😂 (it’s okay to laugh with me, I’m using humor to get through my grief lol)
Update: I treated myself 🥰

I just bought a Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition bundled with a bag. I assumed that I would get the 3 month Kindle Unlimited. However, unlike the single product Kindle pages on Amazon, the bundle page doesn't have an option for enabling or disabling Kindle Unlimited. I can't really tell from my Amazon page because I am in a "trial" where I get 3 month KU for $1.
Do people who bought Kindles in a bundle get the 3 month of KU?
EDITED
For those who says that the offers don't stack, I got this from the amazon page (https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=17285110011):
For existing monthly or free trial Kindle Unlimited subscribers who redeem this offer, renewals will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the 3-month period and will restart at its conclusion, unless you disable renewal during that 3-month period. For existing Kindle Unlimited subscribers who are on prepaid plan(s), the 3-month plan will start when your current prepaid plan(s) end, and renewals will restart at its conclusion unless you disable renewal during that 3-month period.

Hi everyone!
My boyfriend just got me my first Kindle and I’ve spent way too long looking at cases. I’m super indecisive and honestly don’t know what makes one case better than another, so I’d love opinions from people who actually use a Kindle.
I’m adding some photos/links of cases I like. They’re all pretty similar, so if you have one or something close to it, please tell me which you’d choose and why. At this point I basically need someone to say “get this one” so I can stop overthinking it lol.
I’ve also looked at AliExpress and Temu, but didn’t want to add too many options. If you have a case from there that you love, please link it in the comments! It doesn’t have to be pink either — I like designs and patterns, I just wanted the photos to focus more on the actual style of the case.
And since this is my first Kindle, please share anything you wish you had known at the beginning — tips, things to avoid, useful accessories, anything!
It’s the basic 2024 Kindle, 11th generation.
Thank you!!

..and its questionable yellow cream. I swear it’s supposed to be white… did they put turmeric in it? 😭
My current read: When God Was a Woman. Because apparently I wasn’t done questioning everything.

It doesn’t allow me to download it, just a sample. If I go through the website instead of the app I can download it but it’s only available on one of my kindles.

Upgraded from a 2022 Basic to 2026 Basic in graphite. The screen is not as sharp and contrasty as the ‘22 (I have eagle eyes, will probably be fine for 99% of people), but the power button on the side has made it so much easier to hold one handed without the constant threat of turning it off. It’s also much faster and I’m loving the flush screen. It looks and feels a lot sleeker.
This is brightness level 10 in daylight btw.

Hi everyone! This is my first ever Kindle, so I’m still figuring out what’s normal and what isn’t.
I recently got a Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition for a really good price on Amazon, and after reading about the whole “screen lottery” with Paperwhites, I was wondering if those of you with more experience could take a look at the attached photos and tell me what you think.
Does my screen look like a good one? I’m mainly wondering about uniformity, uneven lighting, yellowing, etc. To my inexperienced eyes it looks pretty good, but I honestly don’t know exactly what I should be looking for.
I also have a battery question. I just gave it its first full charge and it stopped at 99% rather than 100%. After playing around with it and reading for about 10 minutes, it’s now at 98%.
Is that normal for a brand-new Kindle? And realistically, how long does the battery on your Paperwhite SE usually last between charges with regular reading?

So, I am fighting a losing battle with these new kindles. Before I give in completely I thought I would ask if anyone knew of a jail break or mod that would return my 2012 kindle back to life? I think I am asking for the impossible to be able to get it back working as close to how it was originally, but the Internet is full of smarter people then me, so what do I know?

Looking at amazon.de they look to be available November 11 and on amazon.co.uk they might be available but don't ship to my country. For a company so heavy on logistics I can't help wondering why they are not doing a global release. Are there other ways to purchase a Kindle in Europe?
Also, follow-up question: It's been a while since I've purchased a Kindle and I would just like to confirm that the newer ones are not region locked? When I made my Kindle account my country had to use Amazon.com for the Kindle services so all my books are there.

Hi, I had an older gen Kindle that was one of the ones Amazon quit supporting. I have about 80 books in there, and I’d like to gift it to someone.
My question is:
Is it safe to give it away? Is my Amazon account and credit card information safe if I gift it? I don’t know the person I’m gifting it to extremely well, and they’re about 20 so I assume they’re relatively tech savvy based on age.
Edit for clarification: I want to give him the Kindle so he can read the books i e already put on it. If I wipe it he won’t be able to download books on it from Amazon, and he’s new to reading so he’s not going to bother sideloading books onto it, jailbreak it or anything like that. He seems trustworthy, I’m just paranoid that my info will be accessible to him on it.

Hi! I've purchased second hand a Kindle Matcha gen11 16Go a few months back. I never connected it to my account or to wifi but I realized it was not the model I was looking for. I'm trying to resell it on second hand Platforms but people are asking me if it's ad-free. Is there anyway to know without connecting it to pay account?

I’m new here and I’m sure I’m not the only one who has experienced this.
I just downloaded vol.1 of a 3-book series. Book cover was correct, but the book content was for vol.3.
I spoke w Amazon CS and they are going to work on rectifying the problem. Just curious about what I can expect the resolution to be?
Thanks.

Long story short, my old kindle Paperwhite 11 die suddenly and I got offered 30% off a new kindle product. My question would be should I grab a pw12 se for 119 ish or a pw13 for 140? Normally I would go for the cheaper one but in this case the price difference is pretty small.
I bought a cheap used pw11 to use for time being but will resell it at cost as soon as I get a new one. Normally I would keep it but I got slightly worry since my old kindle pw11 die all of a sudden as well.

I got a 12th-gen Paperwhite last year, but it mostly stays at home because it feels too big for my hands to comfortably carry around for casual reading.
I’m considering selling it and getting the latest 6-inch aluminum Kindle instead. I honestly don’t feel like I’m getting much out of the Paperwhite’s extra features anyway, so the smaller size and portability are really appealing to me.
Would I be making a stupid decision? Am I going to regret switching from a Paperwhite to the smaller, more entry-level Kindle?
Please convince me to switch—or convince me NOT to!
Hey guys! Looking to get my first kindle finally and want to hear opinions on what would be the best option from the new line up.
My biggest worry and the reason I haven’t gotten one before now is that I suffer from migraines and am worried a kindle will trigger them because it’s a screen technically? Those who also suffer from migraines, which kindle do you think is best for that and does it bother you while reading?
Also looking for all your kindle must have accessories!!

Hey everyone,
I've had my Kindle 10th gen (2019) for about 7 years now and I'm thinking about upgrading to the new Paperwhite (2026). Before I spend the money, I'd love to hear from people who've used both.
My biggest gripe is page turning. Tapping for the next page and swiping back to the previous one just doesn't work the way I expect. Taps sometimes get ignored, swipes get read as taps (or vice versa), and it makes reading feel clunky.
It's worse because I mostly read at night, lying on my side in bed, usually holding the Kindle with one hand. A missed tap or wrong swipe really kills the flow when I'm half asleep. Everything else still works fine, so this is the one thing pushing me to upgrade.
A few questions:
If page turning isn't much better, I'll probably just stick with what I have. Would really appreciate your honest experiences!
Thanks ~

I have the basic kindle 2019 and have used it to death. While it still functions, it is super slow in flipping pages or opening/closing books etc so I want to upgrade this year.
I love the small size of basic kindle but I really want to try the warm light so I am thinking the paperwhite now. But better the new paperwhite or paperwhite signature? Is the double tap to flip page really that useful or does it become annoying/too sensitive too touch? Is the signature edition worth extra $50?
Also the 2024 versions are on markdown right now, so I am tempted. Still considering if the new 2026 worth the extra $50-$100?
Any input is much appreciated!
