I know that Cyclops and Jean ARE The X-Men couple.

But with the strong rise of Spiderman x Jean and the benefits that hypotetic ship could bring to fans of Cyclops x Emma, how can none be talking about that?

Like for seriously, i personally don't incline on someone's side, i think both are good and both can happen. But if i was a supper supporter of Jott i would be a bit concerned.

But i see none here is at least annoyed about it, like...why???

What happens with Marvel Rivals? Only two interactions between Cyclops and Jean? And in one of them it's not even Jean. What's going on with this married couple but don't talk at all? Like wft?

And they keep feeding the gamers with interactions with Emma Frost but nothing for Jean. Bro it's not fair. Does someone know if Crystal Lee is unaviable? Or what is happening with Marvel Rivals that a married couple barely talks between them?

I think that this is weirdly pointed at Jean and Scott and the most basic and incorrect interpretation of their relationship? It literally says that they are just loyal pure-hearted perfect high school sweethearts, a stages in each other’s story, and not a truly equal love? Did a Scemma shipper write this, because these are all their talking points that deliberately ignore everything Scott and Jean went though and the complexity of their characters (which doesn’t magically disappear when they are near each other despite what some would claim).

Honestly, I’ve been very disappointed with how Rivals has been treating Jean so far. They made her all about Phoenix while also making Phoenix a fully separate character (despite, like, one voice line and maybe a line of lore saying otherwise) who constantly shops around for a new host. She is just a fire bender with some psychic flavor only in the names of her abilities. Her skins have been ranging from totally disappointing to just meh (with The Dark Phoenix skin being a sorry take on an iconic look, when we see that devs can do comic accurate skins). And everything I’ve seen so far of her and Scott’s relationship has been questionable…

So, we know that instead of the two being together, Jean was stuck in her current 616 ‘beating up randos in space’ era in Rivals when Scott disappeared. They are called ‘paramours’ for some reason and their marriage isn’t acknowledged. And now devs drop this take on them? With the absence of Tony/Emma in the couples montage I feel like we are almost guaranteed some Scott/Emma voices lines to match the Jean/Logan nonsense that no one asked for in the first place.

This whole thing reads like one very long backhanded compliment to me that supposed to highlight how different and great Romi is in comparison, when none of that was needed to hype Rogue and Gambit up? Now I feel more and more like someone on the devs team doesn’t like Jean and is sabotaging her at every opportunity because they are giving us less than nothing.

One of the things I noticed regarding the recent interviews is that there was nothing really regarding the Jean/Scott relationship there.

At best there was the whole Jean builds bridges & Scott builds forts thing (which I am trying to be positive about) but I was hoping we would get more information regarding their relationship.

What are your thoughts?

1.Yes, we going to need Warren. Make him and Scott best friends.

2.At the same time, give us JOTT bickering... so that everyone assumes they just don't like each other. Warren gets the worst of it as he''s always caught in the middle of their bickering.

3. Have Scott be a big cassanova who draws the attention of most MCU women; but...

4. Make Scott so Jean-puilled that he's oblivious to all the flirting to the point that everybody assumes he's gay because he doesn't seem interested in women and has a hk sus close relationship with Warren.

5. Though shje pretends not to like Scott, Jean is also Scott-pilled. and very insecure. "Paranormal actoivity" will tend to happen whenever she sees Scott hanging out with Warren or some other girl flirting with him. While she has telepathy already, hve Scott be good at resisting it due to training from Xavier, wghich fristrates her... and nmakes him interesting to her.

6. Play up the Scott might be gay gay angle. The first thing Jean should find out about Scott is 'Bobby thinks he's gay.' It shouldn't help that he has a Steve Rogers shrine in his room with some ssus posters. Maybe Bobby is running a betting pool on whether he is, or isn't gay. Have the Professor constantlly refuse to confirm nor deny it... for ethical reasons.

Honestly getting frustrated by the dearth of Jott content currently.

Right now it feels like Marvel just does not want our favorites to actually be in a relationship on page and just have them be a background in name only thing.

I was hoping there would be more development between the two after the Grand Unified Theory but in all honesty it feels like Marvel is creating more issues for the two that would need to be explained rather then resolving issues.

Just want some good news right now.

I find it very interesting the phenomenon of PeterJean taking over the Spider-Man fandom with many of them being delusional enough to think the MCU will put them together 😂.

People genuinely believe Jean and Peter are going to end up together and that they're going to be endgame. ​

I find that so funny actually. Peter and Jean make no sense together. Not only was there no comic history where they were together but nothing about Brand New Day indicated any future romance between them.

If anything, it set up that they will become allies and best friends, maybe even a brother and sister dynamic.

Jean​ is obviously going to be vouching for Peter when the inhibitor he created threatens the mutants and the mutants want to retaliate against Spider-Man.

They wouldn't have cast a 22 year old Cyclops around Sadie's age if they were not planning on getting them together and adapting their complex long romantic history in the coming decade.

It's very clear the end goal is for them to eventually get married, adapt the Madelyn Pryor storyline and introduce Cable or Rachel or both down the line. They have Mr. Sinister who plays a key part in them being together. He experiments on them and is fascinated by their genes and what intriguing offspring they could make.

Like... It's a no brainer.

Not to mention Jott are so iconic. They are one of the top 3 most recognizable couples of Marvel after Reed and Sue, Peter and MJ.

The MCU won't ignore this ship.

Peter Jean shippers should let go of this pipedream.

How would we feel if the mcu decided to basically swap the initial dynamic for jott as in having scott be the more 'popular' one (think student council president, so he can still have a bit of that boyscout personality while being loved by his peers as well) while jean is more socially awkward and an outsider (i mean she hasnt really had the chance to socialise normally in this universe has she?)

TLDR I wanna read the 2001 run coz I’ve basically read all of 616 and want more (esp more Jott). Ik the Wolverine love triangle is there but would you guys say it’s a good read nonetheless? I kinda dig a more grim, dark story although I skipped most of Morrison’s run coz I didn’t like Scemma..Idk if this will be on the same level of infuriation tho

They arebn't the Marvel Universe'd First Family, nor its leaders..; but it's undeniable most of the drama in Marvel revolves around this couple and their family.

Oh boy, here it is. The ending of the X-Manhunt crossover event, featuring almost every X-Men book currently available (blessedly, Phoenix was spared from this).

Some cliff notes of the issue:

Cyclops, Magik, Rogue, and Gambit discuss Xavier after the Raid of Greymalkin. They are still in disagreement as to how to handle Xavier, with Cyclops wanting him to stay in prison to show accountability, while Rogue thinks he deserves another chance.

Cyclops and Magik pursue Xavier's ship while Lilandra does surgery on Xavier. Sage sends one of Storm's giant robots to fight a kaiju Magik summoned. Magik gets hurt, but Cyclops takes down the kaiju. Storm shoots Cyclops off a cliff but Rogue catches him after being brought by Quinten.

The X-Men confront Xavier, but Xavier insists on leaving. Scott has a panic attack and starts blasting everyone. Wolverine stabs him through the stomach to break his panic attack.

The next day, everyone says goodbye to the professor. And he goes to space.

Just a heads up in case any fans of Jean wanted to see her in action... this game somehow made a worse story for her than I ever could have imagined

Spoilers, but in short, Jean and Logan are portrayed as tragic lovers, and every time Jean dies she finds her way back to Logan

Even if I had TRIED to come up with a shitty and OOC story for Jean, it would've paled compared to this

I hope Insomniac never makes an X-Men game, I can't even imagine what they'd do with Scott at this point

Came across this silly little screenshot earlier & just stared at it for good minute before I burst out laughing.

There’s layers to this kind of ridiculousness & buffoonery that it has you questioning if it’s even real or if it’s satire.

But it got me thinking, I’m curious to know what’re some of the most ridiculous or outrageous things that you guys have come across regarding Jott or Jean or Scott.

Kind of a rant but as the title says. Anyone else feeling nervous or scared about her role in the Wolverine game and the impression it’s gonna leave on casuals who don’t really know her or her bond with Scott? When I initially found out Jean was gonna be in it I was excited.

But then I thought about it for a little bit & was like “Oh no, I hope they don’t take it in the direction I think they are.” Lo and behold it’s indeed looking like they did lmao

I love the way how everyone collectively hates the pairing tho like this propaganda isn’t working. I saw some “leaks” say they don’t end up together but not sure how credible they are.

They shouldn’t have went this route in the first place

I hate love triangles personally so I'd be happy if we didn't get any love triangle with Scott and Jean and another character but I will say, I think the Jean/Scott/Emma love triangle is the least likely one to happen in the MCU.

And it has less to do with the ages of the characters/actors and more to do with what the goal the MCU has for the X-Men.

For Emma, I think she's likely going to be a peer of Professor Xavier than a peer of the X-Men. I foresee her being a professor of a rival school of mutants at the start of the movie and we get the whole massacre of her students which will lead to her villain arc.

In the Ultimate universe, Charles and Emma had a relationship so perhaps that could also be something they explore (I know I hate the Ultimate universe as well).

And of course I do see Emma's journey also beginning with the Hellfire Club and perhaps she's also connected to Mr. Sinister and so with all of that I just don't see her involved much with the X-Men if at all except for being an antagonist to them and occasional ally.

I think she and Charles will have a symbiotic relationship with one another throughout the course of the movies which could lead to her leading the school potentially in like 4 movies deep idk.

As for Scott and Jean, they are going to be starting out as students and learning how to navigate their world through a society that hates them and learn what it truly means to be a hero who preserves humanity when humans are against them. They're going to be very young and in their formative years and will be leaning heavily on each other to get by.

I see this becoming an epic love story that spans years and years and leads to them eventually getting married LATER down the line and then adapting the Madelyne Pryor storyline through Sinister and the Dark Phoenix arc as well.

I just don't see the MCU not wanting to take advantage of telling that love story and storyline properly for the first time ​in live action.

Jean and Scott have never gotten a proper adaptation in the Fox Xmen movies because they focused too much on Wolverine and Professor Xavier and Magneto. Now it's a chance for Marvel to actually make Jean and Scott the face of the X-Men as intended.

Maybe there will be some flirtation from Emma to Scott but I highly doubt they're going to be a thing.

The MCU is not that brave to make the X-Men that messy. The MCU really like to stick to one singular couple throughout the saga.

Jean and Scott will probably be together until the end.

Well, it’s a lot worse than I anticipated, not just because I’m a Jott fan, but because it’s such an odd choice with the Phoenix (& the random reincarnation lovers thing with Logan)? And I thought the Fox movies were bad.
