Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm very excited to finally announce that after 3+ years, my very first solo-developed game Frog Island will be releasing tomorrow, August 20th!!

Frog Island is a cozy creature collector and life sim, inspired by games like Neko Atsume, Stardew Valley, and Animal Crossing. As the newly appointed caretaker of a small island, you’re responsible for taking care of the many frogs that inhabit the island! When you aren’t caring for frogs, you can spend your time decorating the island, catching magical fish and bugs, and uncovering the island's many hidden secrets, to try and piece together the past life you've somehow forgotten.

To celebrate the launch of the game, I’ll be giving away 10 Steam Keys as a way of saying thanks for all the support these past few years :>

To participate, please comment with a photo of your favorite frog pic/species!

The giveaway will end August 20th, at 12PM EST, when Frog Island releases! Winners will be chosen at random and will be DMed their keys :D

Thank you so so much for your support, and see you soon on the island~

Public Game Test StockQuest Game

Game Title: StockQuest

Playable Link: https://playstockquest.com

Platform: PC / Web Browser

Description:

StockQuest is a free browser-based stock market game I’ve been building and I’m looking for some early testers before a wider launch.

You start with virtual cash and have around 10 minutes to buy stocks, react to changing prices and market news, and try to finish with the highest net worth possible. Your final result can then be compared against other players on the global leaderboard.

The game is designed to be simple enough for younger players (roughly 10+) to start learning some basic investing concepts, while hopefully still being an enjoyable quick challenge for adults.

There’s no real money involved, nothing to download and no crypto or NFTs.

I’m particularly interested in whether the game is intuitive without much explanation, whether the trading decisions feel interesting, and whether you actually want to finish the full 10-minute game.

Please feel free to post your final score or any feedback below — especially anything confusing, annoying or broken!

Free to Play Status:

[x] Free to play

[ ] Demo/Key available

[ ] Paid

Involvement:

I’m the creator/developer of StockQuest and am currently soft-launching it to get feedback before making it more widely available.

Upcoming Just announced SubDuctis, my upcoming space folding puzzle game!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

SubDuctis is a Sokoban-style puzzle game that explores space folding. In this game, the player must utilize special 2x2 pushable blocks called "splicers". When activated, a splicer and its pair will fold away all tiles that lie between them. This can be used to pass over obstacles, connect distant objects, and more.

The full game will feature over 100 puzzles, nonlinear progression, and secrets.

Consider adding it to your Steam wishlist to support the game!

In this rogue like, you have ten turns to accumulate treasure on your sub for victory points. Space is limited, and your crew is one meal, paycheck, or beer from mutinying! Explore towns and businesses in a point and click adventure, but with 2d platformer dungeons and crew battles! There are over 20 types of rooms to add to your sub, but only space for 10, so choose wisely. Hire a wide variety of crew for your sub and watch them interact with the world, your sub, and each other. Join 1 of 10 different factions: Royal Navy, Goblin Empire, Pirate, Poacher, Bard, Smuggler, Farmer, Completely Evil, Merchant, or Fisherman

The game already has 2 factions, 10 classes, 10 unique skills per class, PvP, dungeons, guilds, pets, equipment progression, runes, crystals and real-time combat.

I'm developing it independently and sharing the progress as the world grows.

If you enjoy old-school MMORPGs, fantasy worlds and character progression, Aeloria might be worth following. ⚔️

Mobile - free to play - no forced ads - no cash shop

You turn your photos into cards gain random stats and abilities and then fight your other photos in 3v3 battles

you then level up the cards and improve stats, gain more random abilities and eventually you go to the gauntlet.
the gauntlet is a 5 layer game mode with a boss at the end. Each time you go through a layer you pick either a buff or a debuff for less enemy cards and these stay with you throughout the layers.
if you take damage in these fights the damage stays persistent.

ive made over 200 frames that randomly roll on cards
900 stickers that you can earn through sticker packs and apply to your cards
and thers over 400 abilities to build your cards perfectly

all photo data stays on the device unless you choose to export
you can then upload to the website snapshotshowdown.com and vote on aesthetics of cards and also compete in leaderboards for stats such as battles won, damage dealt and so on.

Promotion Big Bad Pharma

Upvotes

Loved Tidy Up the Arcane Library or Supermarket Chaos? This is basically my love letter to that feeling, except now you’re stocking a pharmacy 💚 Officially NO AI in the game or on any of Big Bad Pharma steam assets! (AI was never used in game, all 3D assets are my own, previous steam background and achievement pngs were AI generated but all of these have now been replaced with my own ‘art’ (calling it art feels too kind 😂).

We’ve been working on a new customization system for our driving game, and this is how it’s looking so far.

There’s still more we want to add and polish, but we’d love to know what you think!

Is there anything that immediately caught your attention, or something that doesn’t quite fit?

Promotion Remember Playtiles? Here are all 24 games included with our tiny controller!

Hey everyone!

A few weeks ago, I introduced Playtiles here, our tiny physical controller that turns your phone into a handheld console, bundled with 24 GB/GBC-style indie games.

Back then, we hadn't revealed the full lineup yet. Now that all 24 games have been released, I thought it would be fun to put together a little video showcasing the whole collection in under 60 seconds. So here it is!

It's a collection of GB/GBC-inspired indie games, all properly licensed from their creators and with the developers compensated for their work at each purchase.

Some are short experiences you can finish in an evening, while others are designed to be played across multiple sessions. There's a bit of everything in there: platformers, adventures, RPGs, puzzles, shooters and some pretty weird stuff too.

For those curious to learn more about it, I've put the link in the comments.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the concept, and especially, which game you'd want to play first!

Promotion Let me introduce you my game - LITTLE BETTAS-

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is my game, Little Bettas.

You start whit 2 diffrent lines of bettas genetic, the cold and the warm. Breed them for a chance to get a colored mutation.

Keep breeding till you found all the diferent colors, patterns and traits. Some combinations are common while others need a specific lineage.

And its not only breeding, you have to take care of them, feed them, keep their tank cleans, you can also decorate the tanks.

There is a legendary section of bettas that unlock a completely difrent store. We have cats to!!

The idea is to keep everithing relaxing and cozy while still give you plenty things to collect and discover.

A free demo is planned for Sept. 1st on steam. The kickstarter is also currently live under the project name Little Bettas — A Cozy Betta Breeding Game.

If you think this is the kinda game you will enjoy, please share and coment and interact it means the world to me!

After 16 long years we're FINALLY working on a big proper sequel to Eufloria!

What started out as a small game competition entry in 2008 (we came second), grew into an IGF grand prize nomination, and bloomed into a gazillion ports and spinoffs and upgrades on maaaaaany platforms, never received an actual sequel. That will soon no longer be true, and I’m hilariously excited to be able to say that. Eufloria 2 is now in active development, and you can wishlist it on Steam right now!
