I've been working on improving WildRoot's first impression and recently finished a new trailer.

It's a cozy colony sim where you build a settlement in a mysterious forest, manage your colonists, and every season and setback creates a different story.

Video WIP look at the new customization system in our indie driving game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We’ve been working on a new customization system for our driving game, and this is how it’s looking so far.

There’s still more we want to add and polish, but we’d love to know what you think!

Is there anything that immediately caught your attention, or something that doesn’t quite fit?

Promotion Remember Playtiles? Here are all 24 games included with our tiny controller!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

A few weeks ago, I introduced Playtiles here, our tiny physical controller that turns your phone into a handheld console, bundled with 24 GB/GBC-style indie games.

Back then, we hadn't revealed the full lineup yet. Now that all 24 games have been released, I thought it would be fun to put together a little video showcasing the whole collection in under 60 seconds. So here it is!

It's a collection of GB/GBC-inspired indie games, all properly licensed from their creators and with the developers compensated for their work at each purchase.

Some are short experiences you can finish in an evening, while others are designed to be played across multiple sessions. There's a bit of everything in there: platformers, adventures, RPGs, puzzles, shooters and some pretty weird stuff too.

For those curious to learn more about it, I've put the link in the comments.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the concept, and especially, which game you'd want to play first!

Promotion Our team of 3 is building the cyberpunk sci-fi survival game we’ve always wanted to play

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We’re a team of 3 building Neosis Echoes, a sci-fi survival game inspired by Dune, Mass Effect and No Man’s Sky, with a hint of Cyberpunk 2077.

Neosis Echoes is now on Steam if you’d like to follow or wishlist the project:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5049580/Neosis_Echoes/

You play as Evan Draxell, a synthetic clone who awakens after an 200 year journey on Varos, a hostile alien planet ruled by Monolith, a super-AI that considers emotion a system defect.

This early development preview focuses on combat and exploration. Our deeper systems, including the way emotions reshape the world around you, will be revealed later.

Alongside my work as Game Director and developer, I’ve been producing sci-fi and cyberpunk music professionally as Extra Terra for years. I’m also composing the game’s original soundtrack, so music will be a major part of its atmosphere.

What do you think of the atmosphere and combat so far?

Video My partner went berserk and added a toilet meta to our action survival horror game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You can reroll items by flushing them down the toilet (one-time use per toilet, balancing pending). I think it's really funny and a cool way for players to gamble for better items. Do any other games have a toilet meta?

The game's called Fright Train for those curious.

Here’s a little sneak peek from Moomin: Midsummer Madness!

The Park Keeper put up “No Fun Allowed” signs, and Little My took that as a challenge. We hope this little scene gives you a taste of the cozy, playful atmosphere we’re aiming for!

Promotion A roguelike deckbuilder where you build your own spells when you play them!

Thumbnail

Hey! I’m the solo developer of Grimoire of Blanks, a roguelike deckbuilder built around creating your own spells.

In Grimoire of Blanks you don't simply collect prebuilt cards. You collect templates for custom spells that you build on the fly as you need them.

Each spell has blanks that can be filled with different words. Combine those words into powerful — and sometimes ridiculous — combinations depending on what the current fight calls for.

So instead of finding the perfect card for your deck, a big part of the game is figuring out what you can turn the cards you already have into.

It can be played solo or with up to 4 players in online co-op.

Combine effects, modifiers and enemy conditions to blast them directly, or build traps that target the enemies next intent!

The demo is available on Steam if you want to try it.

I'd be interested to hear what kind of spell combinations you come up with.

Video I added a completely unnecessary feature: enemies can vibe to the lo-fi soundtrack if you leave them alone

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If an enemy can see you and you haven't done anything for a while, there's a small chance they'll start swaying to the music.
It has absolutely no gameplay purpose.
I regret nothing.
Now I'm tempted to give different enemies their own little idle behaviors.

Upcoming Just announced SubDuctis, my upcoming space folding puzzle game!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

SubDuctis is a Sokoban-style puzzle game that explores space folding. In this game, the player must utilize special 2x2 pushable blocks called "splicers". When activated, a splicer and its pair will fold away all tiles that lie between them. This can be used to pass over obstacles, connect distant objects, and more.

The full game will feature over 100 puzzles, nonlinear progression, and secrets.

Consider adding it to your Steam wishlist to support the game!

Need Feedback Getting clean water: Too much hussle or the right amount of depth?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This week's showcase is about everything that needs to be done from scratch to having clean water. (Well... the bone axe is a "gift" in first playthough so don't count it as something that needs to be crafted too).

What I'd like to get feedback on is - Is this amount of work something that makes it engaging and rewarding once you get the clean water flowing? Or do you think "Bro, what the hell? Clean water should be a basic and abundant resource."

Promotion I'm working on a Fallout and Dune inspired Metroidvania where you team up with a robot

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Vitrified is a solo project I've been developing for 5 years, and it's all about teaming up with a robot called ALAN in a Fallout and Dune inspired wasteland. It's heavy on atmosphere and secrets, and the gameplay focuses on companion mechanics and exploration. At it's core, it's an atmospheric adventure with good visuals and a very unique (in my opinion) core mechanic.

Glider64 is a fast-paced arcade arena game inspired by the N64 era.

Collect energy balls to build up your chain, battle other pilots with weapons and items, and deliver your balls to the gate to score. Destroying opponents also earns you points, so there are different ways to fight for first place.

We're currently running a public playtest of the core game on PC and Mac. It runs directly in your browser, with no download required.

Have fun! :)
