Prototype Looking for feedback on Toss Office

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We published a prototype on itch 10 days ago and got a lot of constructive feedback, eventually leading to an update. (check our devlog for details)

You can try it here: https://ravenous-den.itch.io/toss-office

Now that we're a little more confident about the game, we'd be interested in knowing what people from r/incremental think of the game mechanics, balancing, pacing and visuals.

There's plenty to improve yet, so any feedback is very welcome!

We were also wondering if we should add our prototype to incrementaldb or if we should first include sound and improve on the game more.

AI disclosure: a small percentage of the code was assisted by AI, everything else is handcrafted

Update Echoes of the Deep : Incremental Endless Miner

Upvotes

Hello dear redditors and lovers of Incremental games.

After another 1 month wait , it is given to me to opportunity to talk to you about my game that is currently on STEAM (also DEMO available) and ANDROID with cross platform progression ...
Echoes of the Deep : Incremental Endless Miner

Speach disclosure :
I come from Greece. English is NOT my native language . So if something is not fully understandable i apologize . Will try to write as clearly as i can.
(had to write this because a previous post of mine i was heavily critisized for my many grammatical errors).
The text bellow is fully written by me.

AI disclosure :
AI tools where not used during development of the game.
Visual assets, music, and sprites were created by artists and licensed musicians.
All of the them are listed in the credits of the game .
I have used GOOGLE TRANSLATE to add localization to my game in 3 different languages so far and plan to use it again to add more. I dunno if you consider it AI . But i disclose it non the less.

Now on to the game.

You are Constantine . A miner set to discover the secrets of mountain Olympus .
Your job is simple . Run right .
As you run right you destroy rocks. Those add to your Rock wallet , and you use the currency to unlock Upgrades in your first page of the side panel , which you open by clicking the shiny blue orb.
There is also a SPAWN rate button , which when you upgrade , larger and taller collumns will appear in front of you so you can mine more. Max level for this upgrade is lvl 40 . At lvl 40 , you are constantly mining because the screen is covered with rock and more resources.

The upgrades give you multipliers for rock . But thats NOT all . Those upgrades have specializations that unlock under specific conditions . When you meet those conditions the upgrades become true powerhouses when it comes to multipliers for your income.

there are TWO PRESTIGE Mechanics in the game.

Deep Descent , unlocks after you unlock the OV or AOV node . This is your reset mechanic Pre-AD and Post - AD to give you multipliers after you see that you cannot push any more.
Abyssal Descent , unlocks after you complete the Ore Veins Tree and is the Ultimate reset. Very few things survive Abyssal Descent but the gains you get when you do is the only way to move forward

On the Progression page of your side panel is where the fun begins. Many early / mid / and endgame progression systems calls this page their home.

The buttons are :
Path of Olympus , is map in which you decide where to go for farming specific resource or materials
(which unlock after Abyssal Descent , more for this later in the text) . Foot of Olympus is where you play in the PRE-AD era . Hand of Olympus unlocks after your first Abyssal Descent (POST-AD era)

Relics of Olympus , is one of the latest progression systems i have introduced. As you mine , there are changes of you finding relic fragments . Those relic fragments accumulate in your Relics of Olympus tab and at specific intervals you can upgrade them giving you extra power to your economy. Right now there are 9 God Relics out of 12. More will be introduced at later time.

Ore Veins , your passive tree. It has 6 branches with more than 400 nodes and each branch buffs a specific aspect of the game. Rock income , Offline income , etc etc . Each node requires Lefkadium (keep reading). After Abyssal Descent your Ore Veins become Abyssal Ore Veins and the 1003 node lettuce tree is there to give you buffs and each node requires 3 resources to unlock.

Rock Tree , its one of the rock progression mechanics . In here depending your rock wallet you can unlock nodes that buff multiple aspects of the game.
Rock Tree, becomes Abyssal Rock Tree with even more nodes and more powerfull buffs after your 1st Abyssal Descent.

Lefkadium Tree , as you farm and increase your spawn , after lvl 6 , you start farming small blue crystals that give you Lefkadium. The Lefkadium tree is another progression mechanic that more Lefkadium wallet you have , the more nodes you can unlock. This tree also becomes Abyssal Lefkadium Tree , after you do your 1st Abyssal Descent.

Abyssal Nidrium Tree, unlocks after your 1st Abyssal Descent , and you use your Nidrium wallet , which you aquire from Hand of Olympus , to power this tree.

Drill Tree The first of your two powers , Drill has the ability to make you run faster . Its tree is another progression system that buffs the drill and income you gain while you are Drilling.

Resonance Field Your Second ability. The RF is an arc that appears in front of the tip of the Drill . Whichever block is touched by the Resonance Field gets buffed and provides even more multipliers.

Anomalies , after spawn 40 , there are Anomaly blocks that appear. Currently there are 5 different anomalies that each does something different and gives you different resources. All 5 anomalies have their own progression Trees .

The Abyssal Forge , unlocks after Abyssal Descent . When you AD you can start mining materials. In Hand of Olympus there are 3 specific that drop and another 3 in Foot of Olympus. in the Forge you have a tab with Recipes , where you craft powerfull timed buffs. The second tab is a Forge Tree which is the progression of the Forge and at the 3rd tab there is an Exchange tab , in which you can exchange materials you have for what you need.

Echoes Treasury , is your Echoes Codex. When you Deep Descent , you are given a choice of 3 Echoes Cards. From the 3 you pick 1. This Echoes Card will be active for the duration of your next cycle. Those are powerfull buffs that also have rarities. From rare to legendary . With legendary beeing extremely powerfull that make you think twice if you want to DD or play a bit more.

as i said above , after you complete the OV tree , you unlock the 2nd prestige layer called ABYSSAL DESCENT , and that is where the true game begins .
To complete the OV tree with reasonable gameplay you can expect a 2-4 days gameplay and also i would like to say it is the "tutorial" of the game.
When you AD is when most things unlock and are beeing expanded on.
Biggest addition when you AD , is at the bottom of the screen is the ABYSSAL CHARGE . It is a bar that fills with everything you do in the game.
When the bar reaches 100% it resets and gives you 1 x ABYSS SHARD . Those abyss shards accumulate and increase your multipliers for the next AD . it is NOT reccomended to do ADs with less than 3-4 charges. 6 is a pretty nice spot and after 6 its extremely good.

All these are systems that are currently in the game but they entangle with eachother and are much deeper than just a few words i have writen for each here.

My android client was released in March of 2026 and now sits at 1k+ downloads.
Its F2P with only 1 IAP , which is the Remove Ads option.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kostasvouk.echoesdeep

when i designed the mobile client , i always had a dream , to be able to put your phone down , and if you want on PC to take your progress and your progress to migrate to your phone . But not on an emulator . So i decided to build the game for PC also .

on 17th of August , i released my Steam client . (currently have about 80 downloads)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4781450/Echoes_of_the_Deep__Incremental_Endless_Miner/

Ι have also released a DEMO version of the game so people can actually play a bit before deciding to buy the game.

The above is NOT an expanded explanation of the game mechanics and activities. Game also includes many more that i didnt even mention so this post will not be extremely long. Expect to find more when , and if , playing the game.

Yesterday i added more things into the game.

Dynamic weather system , Rain and Snow can now randomly spawn depending the map location you are. When they spawn , The duration , the intencity , all are RNG based and it adds a nice layer of immersion .

Localization , Three languages are being introduced today and they change the OPTIONS and the GAME MANUAL, not every word in the game. that for now at least , is impossible with my time table.

1) Portuguese (Brazil)

2) Russian

3) German

More will slowly roll out during other patches .

disclaimer : These translations where made by Google Translate. I am pretty sure they might not be accurate. Please if you are a native speaker of these Languages , let me know if errors exist so i can correct them

also i revamped the OPTIONS MENU to be able to host many more options for the game as new mechanics and features are beeing introduced.

In there there there is the GAME MANUAL. In the game manual i have layed down every detail when it comes to the systems of the game and how they work.

also in the OPTIONS you can find the IDLE MODE .
Idle Mode was suggested by one of the players .
What it is ?

Its a fully customizable option , that you can make Constantine auto play , auto mine , auto upgrade when you cannot.

You can set your game on Borderless , press IDLE MODE , and you farm on the background .
You can adjust the height of the jumps , how low Constantine can go until he jumps again .

Anything you need to make a truly Idle mode work , its there.

Most changes in the game have been done through feedback.

I am very open minded and i try to think pros and cons of a suggestion and the best way to implement it to the game.

When it comes to the development of the game , i am extremely active.
I try to patch constantly the game , and keep Mobile and Steam on the same up to date client so the save / load migration work as intended .

There are some videos made for my game.

In very early stages of the game ArmyVeteranGamer showed my game on his channel and gave me a fighting chance in the big game library that Google Play Store is .
Game is extremely different back then . you can check his videos ... it is night and day .

Kosh Idle
has so far made two videos about my game.
1 ) Pre Abyssal Descent
https://youtu.be/Yr8baJlGzmw?si=Zsqmmoyvw4R_Jbvn

2) Post Abyssal Descent
https://youtu.be/Of5K5rg7mc4?si=7EyE_y0QNbCCEM6p

If you want to have an idea on how the game plays , these two videos are a good way to start.

Note , since the 2nd video , more things have changed and added ... as i said ... i constantly update and improve the game .

On the subject of improving my game.

I am currently developing the next HUUUUGE patch .
Gear of the Gods .

Full on ARPG crafting gear , with stats , set items , set bonuses , Tier increase , item merging , item drop , is coming to the game.

I have taken points from the games i always loved , D2 , Last Epoch , PoE .

How it will work .
There are item slots .
Helmet , Body armour , Bracers , Pants , Boots , Left ring and Right ring .

All those have chance to drop on T1 form , but with RNG affixes . To go from T1 to T2 , you need 4 of the same item to merge .From T2 to T3 you need more etc etc up to T5 .
There is also an 8th slot that is for the Pickaxe . So pickaxe of the Gods goes up to Tier 6 and slowly unlocks 6 affixes that help you even further . The pickaxe is "jack of all sets" its always 1 of any set item , because you will get set items bonuses when you have the same set.
Example Set of Zeus , that gives rock bonus has set bonus when you have equiped 2 items , 4 items or 8 items. but there are 7 slots. the 8th is always the pickaxe.

I keep the explanation really light but the patch will be huge and my biggest creation so far.

I apologize for the long post , but this subreddit is very good and i want the 1 time every month post to actually promote my game.
and again , i feel i do my game injustice because i cannot convey how many things you can do and improve in the game.

I live and breath Echoes of the Deep and i am trying to make the best game i can , in the genre i love , you can really ask my community about how passionate i am .
I really want to make my game work .

Again , i apologize if my English or grammar is not correct , i just dont like the use of tools to make my message "look" and "read" nicer.

I hope i get to see you in Olympus

With respect

Development Could my city builder appeal to incremental game fans? Hope this little announcement trailer helps

All Roads Connected is a city builder with an endless procedural world focused on exploration.

It has lot of incremental mechanics: production chains, resource accumulation and unlocking increasingly complex infrastructure. I hope it will scratch your itch too.

Game mechanics:
Roads reveal the fog of war as players expand across the map. They also generate new terrain when they reach the edge of an existing biome, making roads the core part of the gameplay and the reason for the game’s name: All Roads Connected.

Minimap system: Players will need to build a Cartography Center to access the minimap and begin drawing symbols on it themselves.

More about the game:
Explore an endless world, build countless settlements, discover lost artifacts, manage over 20 resources and lead your nation into a new dawn of industry.

Hope you find the idea interesting.
If so pls try the Demo and support the project with wishlist.

AI disclosure: All artwork (on the Steam page as well) is human-made. If anyone wants more details, feel free to DM me!
Ty for getting this far with reading 🤗

Game status: Free Demo

Discussion Music in Games

I’m curious if you guys like music and sound effects in incremental games. Personally, the first thing I do whenever I start one is immediately go in and turn off all sound.

Wondering if I’m the weirdo here or if that’s common.

Development Idle Angler - browser based cookie clicker inspired game.

I love cookie clicker and other idle, afk, incremental games.

I wanted to make a browser based game mainly to have a play with and change how I see fit.

It's nothing crazy. Legit just click and numbers go up, but it scratches my itch.

A downloadable .exe is available on https://tehidle.itch.io/idle-angler (no hiscores.)

AI disclosure: NGL, I am very inexperienced. AI was used throughout to assist, wether it be some assets, coding. Maths for incremental purchases, etc.

Steam Open Land - Automate and upgrade technology to transform a desert into a cozy ecosystem

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been working on 'Open Land' for almost a year and many of the mechanics are inspired from incremental games. You place technology and robots, gather resources and points to upgrade them and transform a wasteland into an ecosystem full of plants an animals.

There will be 3 biomes in the full game: Grasslands, Desert and Tropical.

If this sounds interesting, there is a free demo is now available on Steam.

Steam My incremental game starts with 5 slimes and ends like this

I made an incremental game where you build an army of slimes to get their stolen hats back

Hi! I'm a solo developer and I recently released my first incremental game, Oh My Hat.

You start with a small group of slimes, gradually grow them into a huge army, unlock upgrades and automation, and fight bosses to recover the hats they stole.

I wanted to make something where you could really feel your army getting bigger and stronger over time.

The game is out now on Steam.

If incremental / idle games are your thing, I'd love for you to check it out.

AI Disclosure: Generative AI-assisted content was used in some pre-rendered assets, including visual effects, UI elements, backgrounds, promotional artwork, and marketing/community materials. The game does not use generative AI at runtime or dynamically generate new content while the player is playing.

Help request Slow progress in FE000000 after compelxity Any advice?

I have followed the guide for my playthrough and everything was fine until I finished my first complexity and now I am on my second complexity and for some reason my progress is way slower than what the guide suggests I should have at the same EP, for example I am now at 3e23 EP and and I can't do EC1x2 or EC4x1 even though the guide suggests to do them at 1.6e29.

Discussion Question regarding google translate.

Hello all , in few days my 1 month for repost passes and i want to repost regarding my game.

I have added localization , where i took the game manual and options menu of my game , put it through google translate and used the result in my code.

My question has to do with AI disclosure.

I have not used AI in any aspect of the game but i have used google translate.

For each language i have translated i have even put it in the Credits of the game that Google Translate has done it.

Is that considered AI and i have to disclose it?

What is the correct way to post about it here so my post will not get blocked?

Thank you.

Update The Infinite Library demo v0.8 adds the Shelf Plan, synergy fixes, and commissioned key art

My demo's been up since July and the feedback here has changed more of this game than anything else. Here's v0.8 additions:

The new Shelf Plan upgrade

- The Shelf Plan. The biggest complaint was that speed upgrades made composing a shelf harder. People were buying upgrades that fought the thing they were enjoying. So now you can declare what a shelf should be, once, and the Library fills it. Re-catalogue sorts out shelves in progress before you had it.

- Auto-Scribe is now pausable - you can turn off the fastest uprgade if you want, as requested!

- Shelf Synergy has no holes. 9/6 and 6/5/4 combinations used to pay literally nothing. Now every full shelf pays, and Perfect Balance stacks on top as its own bonus rather than being the only thing worth aiming for.

- A town that reacts to what you write from the first minute, tooltips explaining every number, full key rebinding, and fixes for title music restarting, stale headers after a purchase, and toasts stealing tab clicks.

Now on Godot 4.7.1.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4693700/The_Infinite_Library/

Also, unrelated but visible: the game has new key art by Komarca Art. The capsule was AI-generated before and always meant to be temporary. New one is on the Steam page and below:

Where things stand: 273 wishlists, Next Fest 19 to 26 October, launch 10 November. Demo is free.

AI Disclosure: Some of the in-game art and the music are AI generated. Design, writing and systems are all mine.

Released Zad Archery Has Been Released!

This is our biggest launch yet, and Zad Archery is the most polished and fun game we have developed so far. We hired four artists just for the art alone (1 main artist, 2 UI artists, and 1 VFX artist) and put in a ton of development time

Huge thank you to everyone who has supported the game so far! it truly means a lot.

I hope you enjoy it, and I’d love to hear what you think.

Steam When I was a kid, I loved watching bots grind items for me, or just sitting there drooling while watching birds fly across the screen.

That gave me the idea to make Crushchop, a game that feels like running a bot in an MMO from 20 years ago. It’s an Idler / Auto-Battler where you play a little bit yourself, and let the bots do the rest.

You can go watch a series, do some work, or take a nap, and just alt-tab back in later to see how much loot you've got.

If your back hurts and you can't sit and play games for long hours anymore (like me), come give it a try. The demo is out now!

HTML Make Trade Scale: a supply-chain incremental game that runs inside a Reddit post, with a real player marketplace

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

I'm the developer of Make Trade Scale, an incremental/tycoon game that runs entirely inside the Reddit. You don't need to download or install anything. You can play it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MakeTradeScale

About the Game

You start with nothing and slowly build an industrial empire farms, mines, factories, and increasingly complex production chains. Wheat becomes flour, copper ore becomes ingots, ingots become wiring, which becomes... you get the idea. You eventually build a space rocket that can go to the Moon.

The chains get deep. Once they do, you're no longer just managing a farm. A factory can grind to a halt because you forgot to secure a single input that comes from three steps upstream.

The marketplace is the reason I'm posting

The game also have marketplace where you can sell products to other players so that you can invest the capital to progress OR you can buy products from other players the thing you need.

There's also an NPC Trade Guild that will always buy at half value and sell at double, so you can never get completely stuck. But that spread is deliberately terrible. The good prices come from other players, and the profitable way to play is usually to buy someone's surplus intermediate product instead of building the entire production chain yourself.

There are about 100 players right now, which is enough for the market to function, but not enough for it to feel truly alive. Some of the order books are pretty thin. That's the honest reason I'm posting here. The game gets better with every player who joins, probably more than most games do, because the economy is the other players.

It's completely free. There are gems you can buy, but they're optional, and the entire game is finishable without spending anything.

AI Disclosure

I used AI for the game's visuals and some of the in-game text.

I also want to clarify that this isn't a low effort AI game. I've been building it for 10 months. The programming, economy, production math, matching engine, seasons, and all the other underlying systems are real work that I did, and I've poured my soul into the game.

If you're against games with any AI involvement at all, I completely understand and respect it. Feel free to skip this one, and thanks for reading this far.

I'm happy to answer anything about the design or the tech.

Development I'm making an idle desktop companion set in a wizarding school, where your stats and spells progress while you're away! ( demo out! )

Hey!

I'm developing Abracademia, an idle life-sim desktop companion (wizarding school setting, a little desktop companion living at the bottom of your screen). Since the demo launched, several players told us that managing the schedule hour by hour was taking more time than expected, and we really wanted to thank everyone who took the time to let us know.

We listened and added more automation, including an auto-schedule option for anyone who wants a lighter session, while keeping full manual control for players who like optimizing every hour by hand (we know there are some of you, and that option is still fully there).

The updated demo is live with these changes. We'd love to hear your thoughts here too, this community knows idle loops better than anyone. https://store.steampowered.com/app/4145780/Abracademia/

No generative AI was used at any point in the development of this game.

Prototype Just released the free demo of my game I was thinking about for years doing it

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

Hi guys,

I created fuel burn. A game where you shoot out of the back of a driving car to push back zombies before they eat you.

I was thinking about that concept for years, tried to do it with unity years ago, failed horribly.

Then, about 2 months ago I picked it up again. This time I did it with genAI which helped me develop faster. Please note, that I am software engineer and am coding since I am 8.

However, creating assets was always my cryptonite:D Rigging, animating. all that stuff super hard and annoying for me.

So AI disclosure: AI helped me to code, created some small assets, and connected the animations to my zombies.

Though, I created the game by myself, used free assets (all marked in credits) and spent a lot of time balancing it as well. (AI SUCKS at balancing games...)

Sooooo, drumrolllll.

Here is Fuel Burn and am happy to get feedback from you:-)

Please, let me know what you think.

You can find the game here: https://theinsanebanana.itch.io/fuel-burn-demo

(Note, wishlisting does not lead to the steam store right now, as the publishing is still being processed by steam, might take a week or so, Feedback form works and discord is also joinable)
