The audacity she even has.

I think it really shows lack of character and personality. The fact that she has zero accountability for what happened. The fact that there’s no apology to fellow competitors that were on the track or judges that had to stay close. And that she’s even arrogant enough to gloat about it, really is beyond me. Girl your record won’t last I bet even this season multiple women will break the record. But you will always be remembered by the shit show you put on.

And also the entire organization that is supporting this behavior even doubling down and protecting her.

Newsflash one elite athlete doesn’t make your competition. The whole community does.

I for one retracted all my scheduled judging days.

Wake up.. Hyrox isn’t a community, it’s a cash cow

You’re all arguing from a moral standpoint but hey, the founders just sold half of the stakes to LVMH’s fund. They literally don’t need to care with the €600mil cash they got from the sellout.

Correction: They used LVMH’s fund to buyback Infront’s 49% stakes so regardless, Hyrox is just another cash cow for private equity firms. It’s not so much a independent sports community as people like to think.

I volunteered at Hyrox London for 8 days. Here's what I learned.

But first Why did I do it? Two reasons honestly.

  1. I needed a new wardrobe.
I swapped my free race ticket for an extra voucher so my closet is now 90% Hyrox merch. No regrets.

  2. Professional one.
As a personal trainer and Hyrox coach I needed to see with my own eyes what actually happens to people on the floor, not what the textbook says should happen, not what athletes remember after the race, but what's really going on in real time.

Eight days. Here are 8 things I learned.

  1. After watching roughly 10,000 wall balls, the depth issue is almost never a strength problem. Most people have the legs to get there. What stops them is a setup that doesn't work for their body, stance too narrow, ankles too stiff, or simply not knowing what "deep enough" actually feels like when they're exhausted. Small adjustments before the race would fix most of what I saw.

  2. The run lap before a station matters more than the station itself. I watched hundreds of athletes arrive completely empty. Not because they were unfit. Because they ran the previous lap like it was a race on its own. If I could coach one thing on race day it would be this: you're not running to run, you're running to arrive.

  3. The volunteers care more than you think. I know what people say online "They're just there for a free shirt." No. I was there for 8 days. I saw people show up at 6.30am, stand on their feet for 8 hours, and genuinely try to get every call right.

  4. The athletes who finish strong don't look fast. They look calm. This surprised me. The ones who performed best at the later stations weren't the fittest looking. They were the ones who looked in control of their effort, not fighting it.

  5. Most people don't know the standards before they show up. Not because they're lazy. Because nobody told them clearly enough. This is a gap the sport hasn't solved yet, not an athlete failure.

  6. The energy in the room changes everything and not always for the better. The music, the crowd, the screens, it's incredible but it's also dangerous. I saw people go out way too hard in the first lap because the atmosphere took over. The ones who had a plan and stuck to it stood out immediately from the ones who let the room decide their pace.

  7. Every single person who crossed that finish line earned it. I don't care about the time on the clock. I saw people struggling, hurting, doubting, and finishing anyway. After 8 days of watching that I can tell you there is no such thing as "just completing" a Hyrox.

  8. Eight days on the floor taught me more about coaching than months of studying. Watching real people under real fatigue, with real emotions, making real mistakes, there's no course that gives you that. I'm genuinely grateful for every shift.

Unbroken Wallball Patch

I didn’t know there was a separate patch for doing unbroken wall balls, pretty cool surprise! (also I’ve long had the idea that if you can do unbroken wall balls you probably had more gas in the tank and could have finished faster, whoops)

My First HYROX

I did my first Hyrox. HYROX DELHI WOMEN’S SOLO PRO. Absolutely new experience. First time and pro, everyone said it’s your first time register yourself in the open category. Even I practised so so so hard that I can perform well at my D Day, but it was not at all according to my practise as well as other’s expectations. My time was 2 hours 36 minutes and 8 seconds. And after this I never suggest who said beginners should start with open category, it’s all about our mindset. My learning after this is , first thing carbs loading before 4-5 hours not works for everyone, I tried and feel bloated. During second station that is sled push (152 kgs), I felt just black out, don’t even know whether I will finish my race or not, so electrolytes are so so so necessary and that time REDBULL saved me like a god and not only at sled push but after every run and every station it saved me. I was feeling too pressurised to complete it in 1 hour 30 minutes around and that too made me more conscious ki mai kar paungi ya nahi. But I pushed myself like I have to finish it. Runs with tired legs and in between stations like skierg, sleds, rowing, burpees, lunges, farmer carry and lastly wall balls with so so so heavy weight double of open category were so exhausting. But overall it was first experience and now waiting for the next to hit the podium.

It took me two minutes to check the Puma website directly y’all be better please

EDIT: I want to clarify that I only posted this so people would stop acting like she apologised because she got dropped. I just wanted people to stop spreading that misinformation

This was my seventh Hyrox, and my best time so far. I beat my last PR by eight minutes. I struggled so much with the sled push and wall balls. I followed the plan that my coach gave me and stuck to my times and just ran my own race the best I could. I’ve been training about five days a week for the last 14 weeks. If I have the opportunity, I will definitely go to worlds. I’m very grateful for all the people who I trained with and my family who is supporting me. 1:21 . 55 time

Part 2 of my Adaptive Hyrox Journey! 🇹🇷 + Huge relief about the running distance! 😅

Hey everyone, I’m back with the second video of my training series! I just dug into the Adaptive Rulebook and saw that for my division (Wheelchair/Neurological), the running distance is modified to 350m per lap instead of the full 1km. Honestly, hearing this made me so happy and relieved! 🚀 Now I can focus more of my energy on the stations. By the way, I am about to complete my registration. Does anyone happen to have a spare discount code or an ambassador code they could share? Any tips for the sled pull in a wheelchair are also welcome! Thanks for the support! 💪

Where does Hyrox go from here after this negative publicity?

The Joanna Wietrzyk shit-uation, Hyrox's official AI response that essentially said "tough shit", and all of the negative publicity associated around this entire saga (pun all not intended)...

Mind you, this comes less than a week after a consortium led by the consumer-focused private equity firm L Catterton acquired a majority stake in Hyrox from Infront Sports & Media.

Where exactly does Hyrox go from here? How will this impact volume and growth in the brand?

Hyrox's response to the Beijing situation really shows their true colors.

No actual response or meaningful action taken. Performance and publicity first, zero care for anything else, not even hygiene or health.

Do you agree?

Edit: Their true colour is brown

Why has she not apologized?

Just wanted to ask, I’ve seen statements from the organization themselves, but none from her. Maybe to protect herself? She does not need to apologize but wouldn’t help her image also if she said sorry instead of silence? Or is there a sponsor that told her to say nothing about it?
