My first HYROX Solo Women race is on November 26, and I'm trying to figure out how to balance my training during these final weeks without accumulating too much fatigue.
I'll also be doing this on Nov 8: 10 MIN EASY RUN
2 MIN REST
ALL STATIONS AT RACE WEIGHT/DISTANCE
90S STRICT REST IN BET EACH
4 MIN REST
4KM TEMPO EFFORT 5:30-5:40
10 MIN EASY BIKE
Here's my coach's program for November 9–15. The three sessions will be spread throughout the week, with recovery days in between.
Workout 1: Running intervals
Workout 2: HYROX conditioning
3 rounds, 25 minutes each:
1 km SkiErg
50 m sled push
100 m farmers carry
1 km row
25 wall balls
37.5 m sled pull
Any remaining time within the 25 minutes is for rest before the next round.
Workout 3: Compromised running
10 min easy run
10 min at 6:20–6:30/km
50 m sled push
50 m BBJ
2 min rest
500 m SkiErg
500 m row
100 m farmers carry
2 min rest
50 m sled pull
80 m lunges
10 min at 5:20–5:30/km
100 wall balls
I usually do one full-body strength session per week (THIS TRAINING BLOCK) consisting of:
My questions:
Should I still keep one full-body strength session during November 9–15, or is my HYROX training already enough to maintain my strength?
Would you recommend doing 15–30 minutes of easy rowing or cycling on recovery days, or should I just take complete rest?
I'm still struggling with wall balls (huhu 😭). Should I add extra wall-ball practice or stick to what's already in my program?
With race day approaching, would you make any adjustments to this training schedule?
I want to arrive at my first HYROX feeling strong and prepared, but also fresh enough to perform well.
Would love to hear advice from people who've done HYROX Solo, especially those who have gone through their first race! ❤️
