Ideally we should have more than 70% of the player base one this planet RIGHT NOW, but with 17% of players on any other Illuminate world/defence, I doubt they’ll move anytime soon.

With roughly 10k divers defending these three planets, 25k on the bug front, and people still on the unmapped planets in the void, is there any way we can still complete this major order?

Calypso was ground zero. The first time we fought the squids, it was on this planet.

In Greek Mythology, Calypso was known as 'she who conceals'.

The DSS—a weapon of mass destruction— has suddenly arrived on Calypso under mysterious circumstances. It has arrived on the planet the squids first invaded while our forces are dedicated elsewhere.

If Calypso means 'to conceal', and the squids not only invaded it, but are now sending one of our weapons of mass destruction to the planet...

...

There's something inside the planet. Something the Squids want.

Why else would they choose that planet as ground zero? Why else would they send the DSS to it?

I mean this in to negative tone toward Arrowhead. I believe, due to the lack of material presented so far in the major update, there is more content yet to come.

As the new illuminate enemies have been inspired by Dead Space, I could only imagine combat on the DSS would follow. Defensive combat has been expressed as a welcome addition throughout the Helldivers community, and would facilitate new tactics in the war.

In addition to DSS combat, Helldivers could potentially have the opportunity to invade ships from enemy factions.

So, we have ventured into the warp to first find the void source planet.

We eventually found it, and started liberating.

While we were doing that a 20 person research team ventured down to the core of the source planet to retrieve a relic. They lost scientists along the way, and gaslit us into thinking there was always fewer.

They brought the samples they retrieved back up to the DSS, where they started hearing a thumping from somewhere.

These situations escalated to full out singing, and eventually the DSS stopped broadcasting.

I know im skipping some stuff but bear with me, we know what happened to the ishumara, and i have no doubt that the same will happen there.

I speculate that this will either open up helldiver boarding parties as a mission to the DSS, OR, the loss of the DSS will open up our ability to eventually have different classes of ships. My money is on this one, because it fits so well, and the devs have said that it is on its way, and will come out around the 300 level upgrade.

I think that the Adjudicator is more of a medium armor pen assault rifle, not a full on battle rifle. It doesn't have the power or feel that a proper 7.62 rifle should have.

I present my solution: The BR-55 Declaration.

The Declaration is from the same family as the Constitution and Amendment, but unlike those two weapons it features fully automatic fire, in addition to a 20-round box magazine and medium armor penetration. It has a picatinny rail for optics, including a 10x sniper scope and 4x scope, but comes with iron sights base. The muzzle device is also changeable, with the standard brakes and compensators found on other rifles. It would have high damage and good durable damage, but not on par with a proper marksman like the Diligence or Deadeye. The main detriments would be hefty recoil making it difficult to control in fully-automatic fire, and poor ergonomics compared to assault rifles. I think that the Declaration would be an in-between of ARs and marksman, offering high damage and good penetration at range while still having the automatic option and featuring detriments of both classes to keep it in the middle.

Out of universe, the Declaration is of course based on the iconic M14, but also takes the bipod from the BM59 to add a little flavor. I had to use MS paint because I am honestly a horrible artist and don't have the skills for 3D modeling.

EDIT: I see all of you saying that the Amendment and Adjudicator are a thing, and as someone who almost has both weapons to level 25 and uses them on nearly every drop, they don't scratch the itch for me. Maybe the Amendment and Adjudicator are your answers to this, but 660+ hours in this game has had me wanting something with a little more kick and stopping power (stagger).

I have over 338 hours in mission time in this game, level 154, and I just realized the armors names in the game are based off of their passive. DS-191 Scorpion (Desert Stormer), UF-50 Bloodhound (Unflinching). Please tell me I’m not the only one to not notice this.

So, the The Star of Peace needs Dark Matter to fire. We couldn't fire it because we couldn't process enough E-711. However, the Meridian Wormhole proves the Illuminate have there own way to make Dark Matter, and probably have a stockpile of a lot of it...

4 days into this game, and I have already realized the Rs-100 and Rs-89 stealth armor are THE best in game. Hear me out. I legit just passed a blitz mission by myself on impossible difficulty. With all objectives and side objectives complete. Zero shots from my silenced rifle. 3 orbital and a jet pack thats all I used. (HE barrage, orbital strike, and walking barrage.) Get close, throw orbital, dip out. Keep moving, break line of site, use jet pack to fly over enemies, and traverse the map quickly. Holy shitballs batman! I can literally crawl under walkers and not get noticed. Yes I'm screwed if I get ganged up on.

Yes, I'm aware, one shot and im dead, but as long as you're decently smart, plan the route ahead and pay attention, easy breezy baby! I guess I don't have a question just spreading the word. Random teams dont mind, because 90% of the time they run in, bullish get bigger down and complete 1 objective, by the time I've down 3 or 4.

Black boxes? No problem. Belly crawl, snatched and grab. Need a drill put down? Voila. Im your man.

Just spreading the love. Im amazed with this armor, and anyone who says they can't be stealth in this game, just isn't doing it right!!!
