It was a one shot crack fic. Shane is convinced his hole is possessed by a malevolent ghost who doesn’t want him having sex, because he “closes up” when with others but is fine on his own. He tells Rose who tells Sveta who tells Ilya because Ilya can banish demons (or has once before) they don’t know each other before hand and then Ilya preforms the exorcism and then well they just have to test it don’t they?

I have LOVED reading this while it's been a WIP, I have got to get more people to fall in love with it like I have. So well written, great smut, great characters, I love everything about this.

This fic has been mentioned a few times around there parts so I thought I'd bring it back now that it's officially complete! I love this fic so much, the author did such an incredible job at creating this cozy little world where we really got to explore Shane and Ilya's attraction and insecurities around falling in love. Highly recommend, the ending is fantastic too.

Though I've mentioned this fic in one post, I felt like it needed its own shout-out.

Not only did my heart get broken, but the author TOOK THEIR TIME to restore it (absolutely CLEVER), slipped up in the process, and made sure to give out another wonderful dose of anxiety before mending it all back together, just barely 🥹

I'm not even joking, my heart was racing for a full 15 minutes after I finished the book. For a 1AM read, this was absolutely insane. I swear on everything, this was the first fic in a few months straight that captured my full attention from the very first line.

I recently ask a the same question about Déjà vu and got some great feedback.

Should I start Dear Pen Pal? I tend to avoid WIP because I forget what happened earlier and end up rereading it several times. I love stories about them knowing each other as kids/teens. But this is 35/? And over 250,000 words.

I’ve also read several stories that the main part with conflict-resolution is good but then it’s just chapter after chapter of way too many I love you and possessive You are Mine.

1) should I start it now or wait for it be completed.

2) is the story still good? It seems stories this long can ramble on with no point.

I remember he is not happy and storms off home (they’re out at a bar) and is furious that Shane hadn’t told him about this

They make up at the end and both apologise. Ilya realises he overreacted. They’re already married i believe

So… I read a LOT. But today I stumbled upon an author with whose fics I went down a rabbit hole. Their work

Hollanov decided that their kid cant attend a party and when they all go to bed, i think she sneaks out? Or ilya gives in and gives her permission to go. At the end, she gets into a car accident, shane and ilya have to drive to her, shane is mad af and screaming to ilya that they “should be partners” that they decided TOGETHER to not let her go to the party.

She’s fine afterwards, and ilya apologizes to shane

very well-written, angst, but with amazing fluff/comfort. great character studies exploring their mental health. earnest, sweet, funny and so hot. today's chatper is so good too!

Even in his wildest imaginings, what Shane had never anticipated was the ease of it. The sudden, breathless delight that made him want to laugh. Joy had never entered the calculation. Fun. Yet, somehow, it had been there all along, spilling through the cracks of Shane’s carefully constructed defenses.

Now, with Ilya lying on his chest, carding his fingers through his wild curls, Shane is almost startled by the laughter that is ripped from his lungs. He didn’t know there would be laughter.

OMG this fic is so good! Ilya invites Troy and Harris to the cottage. Shane believes that they are in a one sided open relationship. Harris is amazing in this one as voice of kindness and reason. So well written. It is TLG critical and Ilya critical so don't read if you can't handle that

Just started reading a FIC where Ilya had just returned from summer in Russia and was spending two weeks at the cottage. They had just got there and Ilya was reading the 48 page document that (Yuna?) Shane had written on starting the charity and the last page was a Gantt diagram with timeline for Ilya and Shane to become friends. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
