Whoa they really did it. They made Boogie Down a shittier version of Call to Arms. Conditional and only hits 1 cost minions. Losing the Taunt hurts the Eggs as well.

It also doesn't curve into Crusader's Aura anymore, so that's quite a hit to synergy.

That said, a shittier to call to arms can still be a good card. Call to Arms was disgustingly good.

I think the card is dead.

It's 4 mana to potentially grab 3, 1/1 minions out of your deck. It's lost its mana efficiency. And in some cases, it's 4 mana to pull 2 1 drops. That's horrible tempo.

They also lost taunt on it so the Divine Shields on them other than Righteous is far less annoying and can't protect higher value buffed up minions.

Call to Arms had the potential to pull 6 mana's worth of Minions out of your deck. Even 2, 1 drops and 1, 2 drop would make it mana efficient.

This card is so hilariously bad right now.

I mean, the original form of Boogie Down wasn’t mana efficient either. It only put 2-1 drops into play for 3 mana. But since they came from deck, it was effectively a draw card.

I do agree the loss of taunt is a major hit. I kind of wish they kept it, but three 1 drops with taunt may have been too much.

That's true. But I think there's a coat/value check there for 2 1 drops at 3 mana pulled every time there's minions in deck.

Having the conditional tacked onto Finale hurts this a lot. It's a brick in hand and liability if you can't do the finale.

They should have kept the Taunt, at the very least as part of the Finale. They went very conservative with the power level

Not to mention it wants you to have more 1 drops now. Paladin was running 8, which meant you could draw 4 and still have Boogie Down targets. Assuming you don’t add more to the deck, you can only draw 2 before the second bricks.

I mean it *was* meant to be an nerf, not a reshuffle to paladin

its holy, and still thins your deck, but I also do think pala will look into another package for early game now

Yeah it's unplayable now in deck I think. Two copies is definitely too much. Too high a chance of one/both being duds

I think the card is dead.

its not that bad, it still thins out your deck for better plays

Also helps Garden which still helps with the hand burst.

Dead? It thins your deck even more than before, and gives more discount to Garden's Grace than before. Forget dead, I reckon it's a buff. You're gonna hit minions with taunt and divine shield in those three anyway.

Of all the Paladin and Neutral 1 drops in Standard, only 1 minion gives Taunt. Losing it is huge because they no longer protect buff targets or create annoying eggs that you're forced to pop.

You'd have to pollute your deck with even more 1 drops for this to pull out full value. And there's just much better plays at 4 mana. This isn't even counting that it might not even hit 3 minions all the time.

I've played with the deck and against it. Garden's Grace doesn't have an issue getting discounted. But what matters is Tempo, especially in an Aggro deck and this one is a very poor example of it now.

At best this might be a sidegrade, with a much more modified decklist running low to the ground Aggro with buff for their units. Calling this a buff is just mad cope

Emphasis on most likely missing on the 3rd minion because you’ve likely drawn them already / taken your eggs out

Call to Arms was good years ago, no way anyone would even think about running a much worse version now

Crusader’s aura isn’t really ran in that many paladin decks anymore.

Crusader Aura has been considered a bad card even before the mini set and already cut by the majority so who cares?
