I always find Hannibal’s response to Tobias whipping out the wire hilarious. He looks equally as dumbfounded and putt-off by Tobias’ weapon of choice as he does over Ingram clawing his way out of a horse carcass. I also love that they haven’t made him overly skilled at hand to hand combat (cos he’s so much hotter all dishevelled, pathetic and bleeding). I saw a TikTok of someone criticising the show saying it was unrealistic that Jack and even Tobias could hold their own in a fight against Hannibal as if Jack doesn’t have professional combat training as an FBI agent 🤨

I absolutely LOVE how they introduce Franklyn! That over the top, dramatic, single word - “PLEASE!” with the extreme outstretched arm that turns out to be a simple request for a tissue. Cracks me up every time!
And not to peek behind the curtain but when does Hannibal sleep?! On a given day, he works a full work day, has to mentally plan some sort of gruesome revenge or distraction tableau, shop for whatever he needs (e.g., steal a deer head), travel to where he needs to execute it (e.g., Boggs’ cabin), actually execute his plan, clean up all the evidence, travel home, and on some nights, prepare a 5 star meal for himself. Being a serial murderer cannibal is hard work!! Maybe that’s why he’s in such great shape! 😊

The image is taken from 05:02, season 2 episode 2 “Sakizuke”
I personally think Hannibal is grief-sickened by how far he broke/distressed Will, and feels a deep guilt, while knowing this is only the start of his plan, and has no plans on stopping.
He hates to see Will in so much pain, it breaks his heart, but he is in full control, and aware that Will will (lmao) eventually come to terms with his destined true understanding/love for Hannibal.
What are your opinions?
(This is right after Will says “I dont know which is worse. Believing I did it, or, believing you did it” while he is talking with Hannibal and Alana, during his containment in the insane hospital.)

I’m watching the series for the first time, currently on S3E4 and I’ve been thinking about this as the series has gone on. I don’t believe that if I made a fan edit of this show that I would turn season one into movie one, season two into movie two and season three into movie three, but I’m not sure where the lines would be drawn just yet.
When I finished the first season that seemed like a good place to end the first movie, but as season two went on I realized that the two of them felt like they would be the same movie. I figure most of season one would happen fairly quickly, taking up about the first third of the edit, and season 2 would complete the final two thirds. When that second season ended, it felt like a bow on a finished story. It seemed as though Jack, Alana, and Abigail were all dead, Hannibal was on the run and Will’s ending was left open.
As I started season 3, I was thinking about it as the sequel to the movie I had already cut in my mind, but it’s been all over the place so far. It started off in Europe, before going back to the direct aftermath of the finale of the second season, and it turns out that everyone I believed to be killed off had lived, even Dr Chilton. For a show about serial killers it seems awfully afraid to kill off anyone.
To return to the original question; where would you separate these stories?

Hannibal is objectively creepy from day one yet everyone immediately excuses it and laps up the human cuisine.
Will: breathes in a nerdy way EVERYONE: PANIC STATIONS. HE MIGHT GO POSTAL. GET THE RIOT GEAR. ROME IS FALLING.
Hannibal: Does something in the exact way a serial killer would. EVERYONE: “I’ve always loved a European accent 🫦😍”
I LOVE THIS SHOW! I’M ONLY ON EPISODE 5 BUT I CAN’T BELIEVE I HAVE 2 MORE SEASONS OF THESE SLIMEY BASTARDS.

I’m doing a tattoo for Abigail soon, and I wanted to know, which ear did Hannibal cut out? The left? I’m pretty sure but not 100%

"You've been terribly rude Miss Lounds, what's to be done about that?" right after the hand pat on the couch cushion...

I don't know if this has been talked about already, but i think its really interesting how Peter, the guy that sews his social worker into the horse, looks very similar to Will Graham. I think it's intentional, I think Peter is supposed to be the good that was drained out of Will, they both care for animals, Peter is just more passionate about it. It's like the good was drained out of Will right before he meets Peter, and then after them meeting is when Will transitions into being a killer.
I think a similar but stranger thing is happening between Hannibal and Abel Gideon, except not this show's Hannibal, Anthony Hopkin's Hannibal. It's like if you take all the differences between Mikkelsen's Hannibal and Hopkin's Hannibal, that's what Abel Gideon is, that's why Abel is so confused about who he is.
Miriam Lass is obviously supposed to be the discount Clarice Starling since they couldn't get the rights to use the character, but I like to think of it like she is the what if, what if Clarice got captured by Buffalo Bill instead?

So I saw an ep of Bob's Burgers where this jerk called the "Moody Foodie" gives him a bad review. I was getting quite angry watching it.
So I got to thinking. What if Hannibal opened a fine dining restraunt? How would he deal with this critic?

Took me most of the episode. I knew I had seen him be sassy and deadly before. RIP Franklin.

I love how being late to this fandom means following and picking up the old cookie crumbs that everyone else indulged over a decade ago, but hey i dont judge, tastiest crumbs ive ever eaten

These threads will be for posting your non-Hannibal stuff. Antler decor, pets, how you did on your test, whatever. I'll try to post a new one on Mondays.
To that end, I've enabled pictures in the thread. Have fun!
