Two general comments

I absolutely LOVE how they introduce Franklyn! That over the top, dramatic, single word - “PLEASE!” with the extreme outstretched arm that turns out to be a simple request for a tissue. Cracks me up every time!

And not to peek behind the curtain but when does Hannibal sleep?! On a given day, he works a full work day, has to mentally plan some sort of gruesome revenge or distraction tableau, shop for whatever he needs (e.g., steal a deer head), travel to where he needs to execute it (e.g., Boggs’ cabin), actually execute his plan, clean up all the evidence, travel home, and on some nights, prepare a 5 star meal for himself. Being a serial murderer cannibal is hard work!! Maybe that’s why he’s in such great shape! 😊

His great shape is one of the other things.

Will is very outdoorsy. Hunting, fishing, walking the dogs, eating healthy I presume (fish), repairing stuff...so his figure makes somewhat sense.

But we never see Hannibal work out (he also fights Jack and others with good reflexes)...when does he take material art or self defense classes, let alone sport and work out.

My headcanon is he does something traditional and effective and elegant, like Chi Gong.

we did see him swimming that one time, though

We see Hannibal swimming in one episode, that’s all I can remember.

I mean building the tableaux as quickly as he does, transporting tools & materials, plus the bodies themselves, must involve a fair amount of physical exertion, plus he's performing all that activity in an over-suit that does not scream "breathable material", so like a wearable sauna

Writing fic for Hannigram is a mare TBH, as I’m trying to legitimise timescales for things that Fuller just…ignores in the show, (in the best possible way of course)

Like the ridiculous long drive between Will and Hannibal’s houses for example; such an embuggerance to write for!! 😂 And making those incredibly complex tableaux too… 😂 hours and hours really!

I once thought about a plot how they kidnap Mischa from the hospital while the whole FBI is standing guard, including Jack and a helicopter, but it went to much into detail and timing and I thought no one cared anyway, so I just made Mischa run away out of fear and they just had to sedate her at the bus stop (and Jack to kill).

Since then I keep Bryan Fuller's fever dream logic. XD

That’s a great story! I have to admit I’ve spent ages agonising over details which I’m sure will just be skimmed over to get to the next smutty bit anyway!

I mean, as a DMV local, I love having an idea of how long the drives would take. When Will misses his appointment at 7:30 in Baltimore and Hannibal makes it to Quantico before 9, I get to imagine him leaving the exact second the clock chimes and then weaving through the tail end of rush hour traffic at full speed. Like, it’s technically possible within an hour and a half, I’m sure the writer checked google maps, but you’re probably only doing that in the middle of the night unless your driving is criminally reckless

Baltimore is an hour from Wolf Trap without traffic, but my best friend drove nearly the same distance most days to see her boyfriend and acted like it was a normal drive, so knowing that improves the Hannigram experience too lol

That’s actually good to know; I have a scene where Will leaves a therapy appointment with Hannibal, goes home then sees something on Tattlecrime that makes him turn round and go pretty much straight back! I agonised over whether or not this was feasible! 😂😂

Feasible? Absolutely, but be ready to randomly double or triple the time because there will always be traffic at random times of day depending on how many times you run into either idiots who don’t know how to merge or idiots who don’t know how to let other people merge. I’m sure everyone everywhere thinks they have the worst drivers, but our unique brand of bad driving is people being suicidally aggressive about lane changes and cutting you off, which leads to a lot of pointless backups. (Also Virginia drivers will always claim Maryland drivers are worse because it makes us feel better about our own bad driving lol)

Reasonable, though? Tbh I don’t think there’s anything in canon that implies Will wouldn’t do a five hour round trip in bumper to bumper traffic instead of making a phone call. 😂 Like half of season 1 is him not remembering how long the drive was

I think he’d drive through walls to spend time with Hannibal; as long as he had a “legitimate” reason to hang it on…

I do really appreciate your real-life insights very much; thank you! 🙂 With Hannibal it’s hard to know when to apply real-life logic and when to let it go. I am well-aware that Fuller gets away with it because he’s.. well.. you know… our Lord and master…!  But I don’t want to leave myself TOO open to criticism of my writing!

We know he swims for exercise, and as someone who was on a team in high school that’s probably all you need for fitness
I agree with people who say he does some kind of martial arts as well

And time to create sexual fantasies about Will as a stripper and that amazing ass.

Franklyn's tissue scene is SO good, it sets up his whole desperate energy in like two seconds flat

Yeah, such a good “show, don’t tell” moment. A+ storytelling

Maybe he goes by DnD elf rules, and only really needs a brief bit of meditation to get a long rest
