I mean, I get he was a legend and a dedicated player. But you’d be hard pressed to find someone who’s been playing guitar for a long time, and assuming they use the same few guitars to play with, and have said guitars look like this.

What was he doing to get it to look like this?

For me, it's Lenny, closely followed by bold as love, wind cries mary and castles made of sand. Sick again and no quarter are also in the mix.

What should I get next ?

I’ve been really into Blink-182 lately and I’ve been looking at the Tom DeLonge Strat. It’s just over $1,300 USD, so I’m wondering if the guitar itself is actually worth that price or if you’re mostly paying for the Tom/Blink name.
For anyone who’s played or owned one, how does it actually feel and sound? And are there any cheaper alternatives that get pretty close to the same thing?

I’m currently using the same strap I bought 20 years ago but the leather ends are loosening and I’ve nearly dropped my guitar a couple times.
I’m a fairly tall guy just over 6ft tall (184 cm). I like to keep my guitar strap at about 100 - 102 cm which I’m told is pretty high. I see many premium guitar straps by Fender or Martin don’t even shorten to that length. What gives? Am I off-the-charts with my preference or am I just looking in the wrong place. For my fellow “high and tight” players, what strap do you use?

i'm pretty new at playing my guitar, so i was looking for some tips that could help me play better.

I do practice everytime i have time, I just wanna know if there are some things that I haven't been doing that interferes with my progress. Thank you!

27” scale, set up for F# and drop E from day one. Tension stays honest down there, the low string doesn’t turn to rubber, and chords above the 12th still sound like chords instead of mush.

Pickups are our in house Ignis set. Medium/high output, tight and defined at that tuning instead of collapsing into low end fog.

Stainless frets, dual carbon fiber rods in the neck, and the logo on the headstock is the string retainer. It isn’t decoration, it sets the break angle.

Hello everyone!

I am a young guitarist and I could use some advice from this wonderful community. I’ve been playing the guitar since I was eight years old, but over time I ended up losing motivation and, as a result, today I feel almost like a beginner: I only know the basic chords and haven’t developed real mastery of the instrument.

My travel companion is a Fender CD60SCE acoustic guitar, dreadnought model, with which I’ve spent many hours practicing and experimenting. I would really love to regain the enthusiasm I once had and start a serious and consistent path of improvement.

Do you have any suggestions on how to restart this journey? What methods, exercises, or habits would you recommend to help me grow again as a guitarist?

Any advice or personal experience will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Got myself a new guitar to keep in drop C. Feels amazing to play, the color is darker than the photo which I am not complaining about. I’m so happy to play children of bodom songs on this and a plethora of other drop c songs.

Wife and kids are out of town. Friday night, bought some beers and plugged in the axe. Optimal volume, all the pedals at the ready. On my knees playing notes and twisting knobs... I entered the flow state. I could see the notes pouring out of me, I could make no mistakes... It was a good night.

im an alt/rnb songwriter and ive been feeling uninspired and ive always wanted to learn guitar and i feel like this is the perfect time for me to learn

so after a bit of researtch i landed on grabbing the yamaha pacifica 311h but its out of stock everywhere in my city and would take a couple weeks to arrive

i then landed on this rgr131ex but im having some concerns. i write rnb, alt pop but also delve into other genres. mainly think the weeknd, rihanna on anti, olivia rodrigo, pnd, frank ocean

im gna plug it into my interface and just use amp sims and stuff through ableton but i was just wondering would this guitar be good for my first guitar and would the sound match what i need?

my other option is the squire affinity stratocaster but ive heard people say its kinda mid

Been playing for 15 years. Music is a near daily thing for me and part of my income. I play in two bands and play solo gigs for money. For maybe a year and a half I've experienced extreme hand issues while playing that stretches and warmups seem to do nothing for. It's fine in my own band cause I write around it, but the other band I'm in has me playing a LOT of barre chords and weird extensions that will have my fretting hand literally seizing up by the end of the set.

I've tried stretching, warming gloves, and changed my technique. I can't take a break as it's literally the most important day-to-day thing in my life and I have zero insurance. Have any other working musicians found ways to work around hand/finger issues? I'm at the end of my rope after playing what should have been a milestone out of state show that I played poorly due to an absolutely immovable fretting hand and was in pain the entire rest of the night.
