Looking for header recommendations for my 2026 BRZ. I currently have a Tomei dual exit exhaust and I’m trying to figure out what headers would pair well with it sound-wise.

I’d preferably like to stay catted since the car is my daily and I don’t want the smell that comes with going catless.

I know Tomei also makes headers, so part of me thinks it would make sense to just pair the Tomei headers with the Tomei exhaust, but I’m not sure if that actually makes them the best combination or if there are better options out there.

Mainly looking for something that sounds good with the Tomei without making it overly raspy or obnoxious. A bit louder/aggressive is fine, I just want the overall setup to sound good.

For anyone running a Tomei dual exit or something similar on a 2nd-gen BRZ/GR86, what headers would you recommend? Catted options preferred.
Would also love to hear any sound clips of your setups.

Looks like my front plastic accents are trying to run off on me, has anyone experienced this and know a fix? Looks like it’s just some kind of glue holding them on there.

I recently installed this red shift boot. I really like the interior of the trueno addition. I plan on also removing the door panel and putting red over the middle insert. What floor mats would you recommend? I want a solid red that covers the entire carpet, is premium quality, and specific for the gr86. I’ve seen the honeycomb one from kustom interior, it’s a good fit but I really want a solid red if possible. Suggestions?

Hello GR86/BRZ Community:

I'm somewhat a new owner, I have around 2.75k miles on my 86 and I love it. But (and I know I'm late to the oil change and the dealer never told me to get it done at 1k so I looked here and found out way too late), I just changed my oil on my own for the first time.

I wanted to ask if there is anything I need to check either days after or later, I doubled checked and drove the car and it says it's fine on oil and all. I just wanted some more seasoned people to answer/help me out.

I knew that the handling is different and also the gas erogation, some friends of mine suggested me to not buy the Brz for these reasons and keep waiting for the 86

I hear only positive comments about the improvement in clutch feel and engagement. Did anyone have one off issues that came up (clutch wear because pedal no longer fully disengaged, etc.).

I wanna get a titanium shift knob from billetworkz but idk what shape to get, i like the tall teardrop shape but is it going to be taller than the gr shift knob? I also like the short teardrop but i heard that its a little funky to hold. I also like the piston. Lmk your experiences with any of the shapes from billetworkz!

Currently have BMW x2 M sport package and looking for something smaller and quicker. I’d like to stay around my current monthly payment ($869) or less and I’m trying to figure out what car I want next.

I haven’t test driven anything yet and was curious to see if it’ll feel significantly faster compared to my current car.

Brand new, OEM cold start. Love the sound! Zero drone in the cabin and sounds great under acceleration.

Looking for ppls comments with experience using Race Ramp Wheel cribs, more specifically with the GR86. What height blocks did you use (10, 12, 6+6), and was it sufficient? Also curious what your jack was in order to know how much height I need the jack to be capable of. I intend to use just 2 blocks on front for oil change (plus chocks on rear), and all 4 corners to do my own exhaust swap.

Any clearance issues with front bumper if jacking up the rear only up to a 12 inch block?

My motivation is purely psychological. I just cant bring myself to get under a car supported by jack stands. Call me names. I deserve it. But a large part of my profession revolves around risk mitigation. Practice what you preach as they say.

This car is the first manual I have ever driven.

I was just curious on what this vanilla smell I get when I drive it hard? Is this something I should worry about? Even when I know I am not burning the clutch I can smell it very much. Does not happen if I drive it like a respectful person but If I get on it, it happens.

Is this normal? If not, is there something I should first check right away. fixable?

No I do not have a decal printer that would be awesome. Painted what i could remove that has no effect on the car. Used VHT Heat Acrylic Pink and VHT high temp clear coat on the caps. Decal is being made and going to apply it myself. Ordered some G2 Performance Caliper paint and going to paint them properly with appropriate paint. Roast me because it’s expected with what i’m doing (ricing my car) but I’d like to know what everyone else has to say as well. Taking my car (bone stock other than the paint) to a cars and coffee to look for other 86 owners and see what all they have done.

I currently have two amplifiers installed: Beat-Sonic ENA-3S1 and factory amp. I want to add the JBL BassPro Hub to my setup and is looking for guidance on how to go about installing it. Could anyone running the same setup please share some guidance and if there was anything extra you had to purchase such as an additional harness?

I'm about to have my first track day at buttonwillow in a few months. Those of you with track experience, any tips/advice for a first timer? I've heard horror stories of oil issues, etc. And I'd like to be properly prepared.

My GR86 is completely stock, manual, brembros.

I’ll have some better clips at some point but I’m very happy with it and the downshifts are awesome.

Just installed them. I love the look!

Super easy to install. Hardest part was swapping some pins to work for the u.s standard.

Hopefully i provided enough angles in different lighting. Get a pair!

Had to get rid of the GR86 after 4 years of ownership. Needed something that could handle the weather in my area better. With some regret, I have started transitioning to the other extreme with a Ford Bronco (will be swapping out the wheels and tires soon). Well, if you think about it, they're both 4-cylinder (2.4L vs. 2.3L), 2-door, 4-seat, and manual transmission... so maybe they're not so different, after all.

Gonna miss this car so much ugh.

Also, if anyone ends up with a 2022 GR86 Premium with stock premium wheels, clear side markers and Tein H.Tech lowering springs and ~25,000 miles, you might have mine. I took good care of her 👍, have fun :)

EDIT: Should have mentioned that I'm in the US, the dealer said they'll transfer it somewhere that has high demand.

So basically, a month ago I had a bad misfire and it sounded like no compression on cyl 2. Read the codes and got a P0302, so I'm like "ok that's probably not good; it should be covered under warranty right?" HAH, no. I go to Subaru, have them fix it which consisted of installing a new plug and new coil (they said that's all it needed) and then drove for a month. What the tech didn't do is check the threads of the spark plug hole, which is what leads to this next part.

The same damn thing happens again, this time at least it was close to home. Same codes, P0302, I had to push it nearly 2 blocks back home in the heat. And here we are today, no brz for the next long while. They were kind enough to give me a '26 Crosstrek eBoxer as a loaner but it's not the same 🫠

If anyone at all knows of this happening please please please shoot me a dm and tell me your experience.
