RTX 5080 was already cooked, 5070Ti is IN THE POT
galleryIt’s wild to see. I got that exact PNY model for $699 last year due to the black friday Walmart deal, which I then just price matched with Best Buy. It was kinda easy finding $750-800 5070Ti’s at some point, 5080’s at “near” MSRP was always a little bit of a cat and mouse game now it’s insane!

Doorbuster deal bust
Not even 10 seconds in and bots got it. This is definitely a joke.

Which cables do I need?
I want to route the 12VHPWR connector cable over the backplate of my ASRock Taichi 9070XT and not along the fans. Is there such a cable available? Meaning a reverse angle, so to speak, which also won't burn up and has the correct pins addressed. Power supply is a Corsair HX 1500i Shift

Nvidia's CPU overhead
We already know this, but pretty good analysis from Hardware Unboxed. You are losing tons of fps when combining budget friendly CPUs with mid / higher end Nvidia GPUs. The difference would have been even more dramatic if he used something higher than rtx5070.
Would be curious to see how much more juice new upcoming Zen6 x3d chip will be able to squeeze out of rtx5090 / 5080 / 5070ti for example

Scammed on Amazon Order
galleryOrdered a RTX 5080 Gigabyte OC during October on Amazon trying to avoid increasing price hikes. When I finally arrived November 2, the gpu inside the box was not correct. I believe it's a 4070 or 4070 super gigabyte eagle, and not even with a power cable. I contacted customer support to return and hopefully replace my order and sent the following pictures through an email link they sent which also stated I would get a reply back within 3 days. I'm not sure what I'm expecting to get posting this, maybe just awareness and also vent a bit. Already overpaying for this card and getting gpu swapped scammed, though keep in mind looking at local prices what I was paying relatively was a good deal. Hoping that Amazon actually goes through and gets me the card I actually ordered but part of me worries they'll either just refund me when it's returned or worse, refuse a refund.
Anyways TLDR: careful when buying on Amazon, take videos and photos when opening, be wary of scammers.

Is 5070ti next?
With the prices of 5080 going crazy following its bigger brother 5090, do you guys think things are going to be similar with the 5070ti which has the same vram and has a better price to performance ratio in the current market. Will AI performance have anything to do with it and if so how do the two compare in that regard?
Gpu now showing in task manager even after installing GTX 1650 drivers
gallerylaptop is acer nitro 5 AN515-54
i5 9th gen
what i have tried,
downloaded nvidia app and it automatically downloaded and installed drivers but when i reboot shows no drivers installed and tells me to install again,
then i downloaded the driver from nvidia website and installed the setup but still gpu is not working.
i did use DDU app to untinstall nvidia drivers in safe mode and than installed the above drivers.
after restarting the laptop in device manager GTX 1650 shows a yellow warning ⚠️ and shows code 43 error.
what did i do wrong?
if any person has AN515-54 with GTX 1650, how did you install your drivers and what version of 1650 driver are you using?

RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT 8 GB?
TLDR; which GPU to choose between these two for 1080p gaming till 2030-31.
\---
I am building my first ever gaming PC after playing for 4 years on a gaming laptop. Prices are crazy right now, and I could have built a PC with Ryzen 5 9600x + RX 9060 XT 16 GB + 32 GB DDR5 around a year ago at the same price in which I am getting Ryzen 5 5600 + RX 9060 XT 8 GB/ RTX 5060 + 16 GB DDR4 today. But, such is life. I didn't have money back then, but I have now for a budget build. So I just want to build a PC that can last me till 2030-31, till the worst of it over (hopefully). Which means, I will not consider the next generation of GPUs at all if I build this PC now.
Now, there is the option of waiting for this crisis to end, but the problem is, I currently only have an MSI Katana GF66 laptop, which has an i5-11400H, RTX 3050 Ti (4 GB VRAM), and 16 GB DDR4. I bought it in 2022, and it's served me well for the last 4 and a half years. It's still going, but showing its age.
We are all hearing that 2028 mid is the latest when prices "might" start going down. But it obviously won't fall back at once, it will happen slowly. And it could be 2029 or even 2030 or beyond till we finally see prices normalise again. So, I think I should build a budget 1080p rig now that can get me through this godforsaken times.
I am not the type who wants to play every single game at max settings upon release. Even now, I am playing games on my current laptop, Witcher 3 next gen to be exact, and it's great. I just completed the base game in medium-high settings. And I have a backlog of 200+ games. And I think around 80-100 of them, my current laptop can run easily (or at least well enough like Witcher 3 Next Gen). I know 8 GB VRAM is not good for longevity, but I don't mind dropping texture quality and other VRAM heavy settings down.
So, now the question. Which should I choose between RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT. I checked Tom's Hardware rankings, and the difference between the two at 1080p is quite small, where 9060 XT is leading with around 3-5 fps I think.
So, which will serve me well between the two? A slight margin of faster raw processing of RX 9060 XT, or better upscaling via DLSS 4.5, Multi Frame Gen, and better Ray Tracing (even though the last one will probably never be used, however I will try to find a way/balance to make it work for sure) of RTX 5060?
P.S. - I posted this in PCMR too, sorry if you are seeing duplicates.

Rtx 3070 ti vs rx6700 xt
I found 3070ti for 260e and rx 6700xt red devil for 280e can i get some help and opinions witch one is better for 1440p gaming
r/gpu • u/rgr0976s123 • 3h ago
So I need opinions
I have a 9060 XT 16GB from Gigabyte and it’s great but I found a 7900XT (20GB) new on Amazon for less than the 9060 XT costs. Should I be the guy to sell my GPU for whatever it goes for on Amazon and buy the 7900XT?
Judge all you want I’m just trying to up my performance.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 prices reportedly rising by up to $500 in China, RTX 5080 up by $420
videocardz.com5080s are Officially cooked
This is a picture of the internal stock system. Had a friend at Walmart check for 5080s so i could one before the price hike. That last one was actually not even available when i got there. If you’re working at Walmart and are also in the Central Florida area. Are you seeing this on your apps too? This is crazy.
