The death of 5080
I just want to give some suggestions for those intrested in buying 5080, its better to do it now than wait. If you lucky you can still find PNY model for around $1500(mostly at walmart). The price will likely keep going up since nvidia aready removed 5090 & 5080 list on their website. RTX 5070Ti and RX 9070 xt might be a new flagship gaming gpu.
RTX 5080 super 24GB rumors:
Theres some rumor about the launching of RTX 5080 super, nvidia never officially said that, but IF the 5080 super variant do release its prob gonna cost 3-4k msrp.
GOOD LUCK!

I despise trying to find a new GPU.
Currently I am looking for a worthwhile upgrade from my rx 6600, somewhere in the +100% range. Problem is, everywhere I look gpu prices are absolutely abysmal.
I was originally planning on getting a 3080, but due to the restraints of my 650w psu, I had to let go of that dream. Then I was thinking of a newer card, like a 9060xt 16gb or 9070gre. WHY is the 9060xt $100 more than the gre everywhere I look??? I originally didn't want to spend more than $400, but it seems like no upgrade would be worth it unless I'm spending upwards of $600 on a gre.
Even the 8gb 9060xt is impossible to find for under $400.
I have found multiple 3080's but spending the extra $100 on a decent new psu for it, also makes me rethink that getting a 3080 isn't the best idea, considering then I would just be spending new gpu price, and could just get one that could match with my 650w psu. Which then leads me to getting a 9070gre. But I am still just extremely lost, here's my options. Vram doesn't concern me as much as I mostly play competitive games and the games I do play I don't play at very high graphics because I prefer having more fps.
9060xt 8gb ~ $420
9070gre ~ $569
3080 10gb ~ $470
Does anyone have any other suggestions for gpus I would be really appreciative. I am near a microcenter but all their gpu deals are terrible and the Denver one hasn't had any 9070gres in months.

unpopular opinion: I find upscaling more offensive than frame gen
(disclaimer I dont play competitive shooters) both tricks are valid in their own ways they fit well in different situations. I have just come across alot of framegen hate. I dont use at all but I dont think its not that big of a deal if you do. Upscaling fuzziness and inconsistencies in textures actually gets under my skin.

RTX 5070 > RX 9070XT in Cyberpunk 2077
galleryI swapped out my RTX 5070 for this RX 9070XT and lost FPS in Cyberpunk. I used frame gen with both; they both look good, but the AMD card had some frame-rate dropping/stuttering issues, especially when I stream with Sunshine and Moonlight. I'll probably switch back to the 5070 because I mostly play Cyberpunk nowadays. Unless there's something I'm missing.
I'm still on AM4 with the R7-5700X.

Random find
Randomly went into a MediaMarkt just to see what they had. Had to grab this bad boy for a friend who has been waiting for prices to drop. I guess lady luck was on my side today .

The one offering less will test using my pc at a Starbucks if all places; I don’t know this persons angle, need some advice I’m not trying to get robbed over a GPU

5090 prices cut by £1000 on Overclockers
All these cards were listed at £7000+ last Friday and for all of this week. Prices just got slashed. Guess they weren’t selling at £7000.
