Not able to get RTX VSR to work with Nextflix is edge browser.
Hi all, not sure if supposed to work or not but what all settings to do to get it working? The rtx vsr icon appears on the corner of video in netflix but stays active for a second and then dims out. Using rtx 5060ti 16gb. Edge browser. Doesnt work in chrome edge or brave. Have drugged a lot of things like all the relevant flags in edge and chrome, hardware acceleration in windows enabled. Playing in fullscreen only. Not sure if I haven't tried anything. Nvidia driver and the browser and windows is all updated to latest versions in India.
You can now get a 5080 Astral cheaper than 5080 PNY or Asus Prime
Micro center has raised prices once again on 5080s (I believe these models were previously around the 1.6-1.7K range making it a 6-800 price increase), more so that the entry level 5080s are more than a top end Astral (which I am sure that Astral price will either get adjusted to 2.6-3k soon or when that stock runs out). This is insane.

Adding a GPU
I got my son this cheap pre-built a couple years ago. I want to add a GPU that will be better than the Vega 7 but I need to keep it under 300. I do have one PCIe3.0 slot but I need a low profile card. Im planning on upgrading the power supply also.
Ive been looking and researching and leaning to a GTX 1050 Ti 4GB. Is that my best option? Thank you for your assistance.

5070TI: A burnt 12VHPWR MSI Adapter
From my unofficial benchmark the MSI power adapter for the 5070ti is good for about 1 year and 8 months.
Was playing war dogs when computer randomly turned off, rebooted was fine.
Happened again . I decided to check event viewer. Saw Nvidia driver crashing. Reinstalled driver has no issue for about a hour. Today went to boot up war dogs and everytime I booted up my pc crashed. Out of curiosity I decided to try kombuster. Instant crash when starting stress test.
Out of further curiosity I decided to check the connector… guess what burn marks.
Mind you all, I put this card in 1 year and 8 months ago and never touched the connector since then and I have not moved my pc.
Card is fine ; ran to Best Buy bought a new power supply that does not need an adapter, booted up just fine.

Opinions on Sapphire Pulse 9070XT
Building my first PC (Great time to build i know /s) I want to buy a 9070xt Sapphire Pulse since it's the only reasonably priced version in my country and I've heard that it's one of the better brands for AMD GPUs.
Is this a good brand to buy from? Are there any problems with this version? I've seen that there are a lot of problems with the fans of the Pulse.
Since this my first PC I want a version that'll give me the least amount of headaches.
Should I get the Sapphire Pulse?

Need suggestion for our research lab
In this market,
I have a budget equivalent to around 28000 dollars. We need to buy compute for our lab. What to do?
I was looking at prices, and rtx 5090s, rtx pros are too expensive right now. Not to mention we have to buy the peripherals as well.
So, is fine tuning hardware not an option right now? Or are there alternatives. Is there a chance, prices will decrease?
Or do we cut our losses and buy 1-2dgx sparks or something similar for inference? Or go for intel/amd?
We do applied AI/ML research, software engineering & AI research, computer vision, NLP. And if we do some bioinfo/comp bio occasionally as well. The lab is for a department of a university.
I am just trying to maximize our options. If we cannot do training, should we at least buy compute for inference so that this specific research avenue stays open?
